I adore this library. The subtleties and the emotive articulations that occasionally creep out from the strings and oboes are sublime. The haunting characteristics just constantly hold my attention. Even the cellos alone offer a lot of character and convey so much of their beautiful realism. I can almost never stop playing with it. It usually takes an empty stomach rumbling for me to realize it's time to take a break! Seriously this is a gorgeous idea. Wonderful inspiration from Samuel Sim! Love the textures and the performances that were captured! I'm working on a piece with this toolkit as the highlight. I look forward to creating more pieces with this toolkit in mind!

I was looking for a relatively dry library that I could blend with live session musicians for producing artists & after watching walkthroughs etc I decided on BDT. I really like the articulations & feel of the performances. It's recorded well & when the instruments are layered you get a rich, lush palette. Only downsides I feel are lack of round robins & a few of the notes need tuning in post. It's not a one-stop-shop by any means, common articulations (pizzicato, spiccato etc) will need to be found elsewhere, but that's evident by watching the walkthrough. BDT really blends well with live performances - to the point I almost forget I'm listening to a sampled instrument. With a little work, you can create emotive pieces that transcend into art.
Very inspiring. Just love it !
Little gem of a product.
So incredibly versatile. I can sketch for hours and hours with this. Adore this!
Really interesting and beautiful sounding. Very intuitive to use. A welcome addition to my arsenal.
I enjoy working with BRT! Its easy to handle and gentle to play
instant musical inspiration. great sounds. amazing layers. Still looking how to unlayer things for editing and eventually maybe partwriting for the near future. But i am new to the use of using samples, Kontakt and Spitfire Audio. So it's probably my personal learning curve.
Superb sounding and really inspiring.
This is a fresh approach to a more intimate, quiet pulsing Soundscape tool. I first wasn't sure how it integrates. It does beautifully.
Amazing toolkit to spark your inspirations towards any kind of projects. It seems minimalistic, but the use of it can be in huge variations of styles and genres. It's great as a standalone instruments track but even better when you layer it with intimate piano sounds and big lush strings ensemble... it's even great to combine this with hybrid sounds such as synth pads or mallets. I use this a lot whenever i just jump straight into a scoring project and not knowing what to do first... BDT always a great tool to start with
As a film composer, the music i make is about emotions.British Drama Toolkit is an incredible advantage for me in the process of coming up with beautiful ideas.
Your products are really impressive and it's been an amazing, cathartic and exhilarating experience using and bringing your sounds into my projects x Its quite incredible how authentic and nuanced your samples and instruments are. As someone who is relatively new to home production but not music writing, your quality products have assisted in my musical development to no end.
Expression, mood, and inspiration at your fingertips.
No matter what you play, it sounds like music. So invite your cat to walk across the keyboard and voila! A new film score while you wait.
Absolutely brilliant! I thoroughly enjoy the sound and dynamic range. Sometimes I catch myself wanting to record a quick string sequence but I end up just playing for an hour not having recorded a thing. The good kind of unproductiveness I guess
I love the sounds of the instruments - very realistic for drama. My only complaint is the sounds are very low compared to other sounds in the track so I have to use a compressor just to bring up the volume to match other instruments.
Bristish Drama Kit is my very first product from Spitfire Audio and as a newcomer to orchestral music, I have to say I'm delighted with this amazing, wonderful product. To me it's important to create a musical feel, a picture in the listeners mind. British Drama Toolkit delivers that. It's like Marvin Gaye and Al green. The best in Soul music. Let me give you an example. Using the Main ensemble hold down a chord of your choosing and just listen. Listen to those subtle nuances. It's absolutely awesome! David Gottshalk
Absolutely thrilled with both the sound and how the music plays. It's really does help simplify the creation of moving music, further cutting down on the time it takes to typically lay in the various techniques and articulations. The design of this is absolutely fantastic and I almost felt like I was cheating while I was scoring with this b/c it was so damn easy to use and the music sounded so incredible. The aforementioned coupled with the price... I just don't think it's possible to get better quality anywhere unless you're commissioning a live orchestra. Well done again!!!
The perfect tool for composing. Beautiful samples. Extremely versatile. Would highly recommend.
