Brand: Spitfire Audio

The critically acclaimed British Drama Toolkit provides an instinctive yet intense connection to the heart of your composition. Created in collaboration with composer Samuel Sim, it features an ensemble dedicated to the emotionally potent sound he is lauded for — but also presents a unique way of interacting with the players, which sets this instrument apart from anything we have created to date. For anyone looking to embrace an alternative approach to scoring, this NKS library toolkit gives you full creative freedom without the barrier of technology — allowing you to simply respond to the scene in front of you. We can’t write your music for you, but we can help you find your voice.

Impressively emotional, stirring and intimate. The best library you can get with Olafur Arnald Chamber Evolution to make great slow and evolutive soundtrack.

Very emotional palette. Dry space is great for intimacy, but melds well with reverb and more reverberant libraries - will never get bored for the soft textures in the viola and bass clarinet!

I love these sounds. It sounds so dramatic, as it says. It makes you remind of some scenes quickly.

Drama it is...you start seeing images as you try the sounds. It is different from the other libraries but in a good way. Thumbs up!

Really well thought out product! Very creative and intuitive. This is an interesting concept in that it excels as an instrument unto itself rather than a straight sample library. I was a little concerned it might be a one trick pony and would only do what it's name implies. However, I have found it to be much more! Even if you don't want to create moody, crime music, there are so many other ways to use it. Very, very happy with this.

Very dynamic and real sounding acoustic orchestral instruments! Made very intuitive with the layered dynamics, rather than the normal fading between the layers.

I really appreciate the enthusiasm and the tender heart Spitfire Team created this softwares. I really would like to be free from the feeling that this instrument is a bit half-baked - but I can't. (dynamic layers, crossfades between sound zones) I found this specifically embarrassing. I hate to write this done, because the whole palette per se - is abs. exciting and promising. But the "small spots, glitches" can be found everywhere, which is sad. Otherwise, I got a really characteristic tool, a really useful and modern conception, a wide color palette for my music painting, and I am very fond of using it and thankful for the opportunity, Spitfire! But. Please test it again layer-wise and group-wise!

What a relief to work with British Drama Toolkit and since this week equally the Contemporary Drama Toolkit. Combined with more "traditional" libraries, these last 2 are real crown jewels. Directly usable for instant compositions where I can compose with both hands. Instant subtlety and the right emotions for any composition requiring softer material. Highly customizable and versatile. Fast to load and without stress on the CPU and RAM. So two thumbs up both for ergonomic architecture (computer resource use) and sound quality. Spitfire Audio remains the pinnacle in my library collection.

The sounds are incredibly fantastic, they're very real and they're very careful for my creativity

Beautifully recorded and woven together. The playability is amazing and dramatic indeed. Helps me write solo pieces on top of string beds to add that extra something.

An excellent an intuitive library, so helpful for getting inspired or doing a sketch for a cue. Piano being my main instrument, I also found the approach of using velocity to control the dynamic layers really helpful and intuitive. Really happy with this library!
