Great samples! You can write epic music with this library alone.

Makes writing ostinatos fun and more importantly accessible. Also sparks imagination with the ease of being able to create polyrhythms!

Was looking for rhythmic string performances in a plug in. Have tried several other, but now I’m done looking. Great sounds and articulations.

This library is a very specific ‘tool’ rather than one that provides a standalone inspirational experience. I’ve really only scratched the surface so far, but I am already finding to be a very useful tool. If I’m honest, at full price it would probably have been a ‘luxury item’. Useful but not absolutely necessary (for me). However thanks to Christian’s generous discount, it will indeed be a valuable and useful tool to add more movement and realism to my compositions.

Perfect for those impossible to program string parts. Brings yet another element of realism into my pieces. Very impressed.

What an awesome piece of software...

Great sample library, with a great variety of sounds to use. Only drawback is that the new Spitfire plug-in takes a while to load (in comparison to Kontakt)

This product streamlines the creation of orchestral 'engines' that can often take more time to create than a simple melody line ever would. The user-friendly interface allows easy mapping of the articulations, velocities and rhythmic patterns, but it's the 'back-bowing' that seems to add an authenticity that gives the feel of a real string section. This product immediately became part of my basic template.

The high quality of this product becomes evident as soon as one opens it for the first time and plays a chord. It's not only very useful and provides an ultra-realistic solution for common styles of writing but it's also a great source of inspiration. I have the feeling that one could easily score a whole movie with just a couple of instances of this plugin. I highly recommend it. For it to be truly a 5 star product, I am missing the following things: Outrigger Mics as well as a purge functionality to save resources (regarding the latter I am hoping for an update of the player). Also, it would be extremely useful if one could automate certain grid parameters via Midi CCs or host automation - this would prevent one from having to use multiple instances just because of tiny changes to the grid.

That’s a good player to make action realy easly.

It’s a good idea and choice, but lacking the varied rhythms.

I find this product very useful. As usual with Spitfire, the sound quality is top notch, and I like their plug-in which is so easier to read than the tiny gui in Kontakt. These rebowing samples are very nice. Not only it saves much time vs programming, is definitely realistic (of course, true rebowing ...), and there are several quite interesting functionalities like the so-called overlays which deliver very nice patterns for someone like menot much knowledgeable of violin playing (I know, it's a shame ;-) ) as it can bring some good ideas. I find I can blend it with other Spitfire libraries, and as in another comment, I tried successfully to use it with BBC SO, even if not recorded in the same place. I'm really happy that Spitfire team could propose such a library for this specific use.

This VST keeps surprising me more and more when I experiment with it! Great night!

I've seen a few reviews that don't give this product 5 stars, and the only thing I can come up with is that it's so good, that people want it to be bigger than what it is. That's my feeling, I absolutely love the sound, and it gets my creative juices flowing more than any other product Spitfire offers! If they had a product that did the same thing for the rest of the orchestra sections, I'd be first in line.

I've always hated the sound of repeated MIDI string notes. It just sounds so inorganic. This library solves that problem. Really great for writing some "contemporary minimalist" pieces or film cues.
