Early days but this is going to so useful. Another quality product from those Spitfire guys

Spitfire Symphonic Motion it is a must have to expand your sonic palette if you have to write and program re-bowed short strings rhythms with sounds that would be very difficult or otherwise impossible to replicate with any other strings library. For me the Close Mic is the "gem" of this library because allow you to have an upfront detailed and rich sound that not sound too much reverberated but it is quite close and "dry" which allow you to use and blend this library not just with the Symphonic range but also with the Studio range and also with BBC SO. Attention: re-bowing is NOT an effect but a series of various recordings of different real natural re-bowing looped rhythms and techniques played by real musicians and recorded by the Spitfire Audio Team and wonderfully engineered in this dedicated plug-in. So in the end this library is a dedicated strings library that does very well his specific job which instantly can give to your score a wonderful dynamic color. I use and play spitfire audio products almost everyday, for personal or professional use. After those wonderful studio strings professional, woodwinds, HZ percussion, and so on, I decided to buy this « symphonic motions » which instantly give your score a wonderful dynamic color, but also some discrete and nice rhythm, if you want to. Very useful and versatile, I am currently fooling around, experimenting some new moods to be later included on some new composition. Nice, complete, easy and serving your score even better than expected. Love this one, too. Good job, as usual, by the spitfire audio team.

This is a brilliant orchestration tool that can help enhance string textures (particularly in divisi sections)

its "driest" setting still has more reverb than I'd like, but so far it's really fun to hear staccato samples that don't sound exactly the same. Nice addition to have and certainly an improved experience over EVO 3 Symphonic Motions

Adds an original and cinematic palette of sounds to give more character to the strings section, perfect for producing modern soundtracks

Really great library! More natural and re-bowing than anything else ive found

Amazingly inspiring. Love how quickly Motions helps you access natural sounding string rhythms. Playing with layering different rhythms over each other within one instrument has been a creative rabbit hole. High quality samples as you would expect from Spitfire.

This library gives you some really cool twists on short string rhythms. Sounds that would be difficult or otherwise impossible to replicate with any other library. I love how much character and strange nuance the patches have. Not your typical short strings by any means. I would take a few more releases like this in a heart beat!

Get Bergersen ready with Symphonic Motions! This may seem at first glance a little bit exaggerated. It certainly takes more than Symphonic Motions to produce music like Thomas Bergersen or Two Steps from Hell. But with Symphonic Motions one is getting one or even two steps closer to the typical bouncing spiccatos, that many of the pieces of TSFH are featuring. When layering Symphonic Motions beneath regular spiccatos, for example, playing the same or a similar pattern like the spiccatos on top, one can recognize the difference, when Symphonic Motions is turned on or off. The re-bowing effect lets them sound connected and adds to authenticity. The sound of the strings is nice and blends well with other libraries and with the Spitfire Audio ones, of course, as well, and there is a varity of articulations available for a multiplicity of composition needs. One criticisms I would like to utter is, that no violas have been recorded. I understand, that being an ensemble library the sound of the samples should be clear. But violas nevertheless have a distinctive sound within the string choir, and I would hope, that violas are added in a certain combination like violins+violas or violas+cellos in a future update. As a summary, the library delivers, what has been promised, that extra detail of re-bowing authenticity, and is for those, who attach importance to that, a more or less an indispensable tool.

The sounds are amazing, the engine is amazing, everything related to this product is amazing. The problem is that it's really heavy on cpu so it's hard to actually compose with it. Once I'll get myself a real pc I'll probably be able to use it as intended but for now I probably won't use it. I have a pretty powerful laptop but it isn't enough when it comes to this product.

At first I thought it would be a redondant plugin as I already have "Kepler Orchestra" and "Orchestral Swarm" but not at all. There are more strings articulations and the style to which it brings you is different, more epic. The Grid is (as seen in other Spitfire Audio product) a fantastic tool which brings to new sound and ideas that takes only few clics and minimal efforts to get stunning and innovative results.

Another beautifully crafted bundle by the awe-inspiring Spitfire!

I just wish I had a plugin that would integrate this with my Symphonic Strings sounds so I would not jump between tracks and plugins. I do a lot of rhythmic stuff and the spiccatos at 1/8ths will do the job 99% of the time I pull this up. But I'm certain I'll find use for all of it at one point or another.

Top product! Looking forward to putting through it's paces once I have the right project.

Immediately used in a job and it was perfect for the piece and the overall mix.

It does what it says on the tin! However there are some things to be aware of. The GUI takes a long time to appear compared to Kontakt or other samplers: Between 5 and 10 seconds generally. Also the rhythms are quite rigid and while this suits hybrid scoring it doesn’t have the human feel that I like. I have one feature request that I think would be incredibly powerful. I would love the ability to re-trigger a note and instead of starting the same sequence, being able to start from a different point in the sequence. In other words, I would like the ability to adjust the point at which you come into the phrase. This would mean if you only want to hold the note on for 3/16 notes and lift off for the fourth 16th note, when you re-triggered you wouldn’t hear the same three notes but a different three notes. This would increase the realism because at present, retriggering gives you the machine gun affect. I know in Kontakt it is possible to adjust the point at which you come in to the sample. It would be wonderful if the Spitfire player could do the same this would increase the flexibility of this instrument and increase the realism markedly. Thanks

The re-bowing sounds are fantastic. I love the features of the plug-in and it's easy to use. It does, however, use a lot of CPU, but bouncing the track in place once I'm finished tweaking things in the track seems to do the trick. I love this product.

This product is amazing! like all other are. Symphonic Motions added the movement and articulation I needed the most. It's easy to use and very inspiring. The first time I used it in my work, my cue was accepted with a note of the music supervisor saying that he loved the strings movement!! I'm a huge fan of spitfire audio products for many years now, I have a bunch of them but with this Symphonic Motions I reached a new step!!.. Thank you for providing us a such quality of library.

This library is ... wow! Right out the gate inspiration, endless ideas and combinations to try. The re-bow effect is amazing, the realism and nuances of the samples are spot on. Only thing that would make it better, would be a key switching function to cycle through the presets on the fly. And it is a CPU hog, so my system can barely handle it, but that’s on me. I’ll be upgrading my rig soon, and shouldn’t have any issues then. But overall, Spitfire crushes it on this one. Top marks.
