Less food possibillitys
Less food possibillitys. Boring airport. But... services there are, are ok
Such rude staff
Such rude staff, no where to wrap luggage.
Croatia is a beautiful country, this airport really lets it down
The guy guarding the security post was…
The guy guarding the security post was so rude. I stopped and asked for directions. He started by saying hi hello good morning etc and immediately pointed out that I was being impolite because I didn’t greet him with those words. He just went on a rant saying if I was going to ask questions I should at least say hi. Which I thought I did. I don’t remember now if I did say hi hello or whatever, I thought I did but my tone was certainly not impolite or rude like his was. I was just going to ask a question Since the gps was pointing to the (now) obviously incorrect direction. He went on to say that he doesn’t know anything and that he just works for security and just closed the window and continued on being on his phone chatting or whatever he was doing. He was on shift on the 19th of August 2025 at around 18:00. Everyone has been very nice in Croatia in this trip of ours. This guy was unbelievably rude. The rudest guy with the biggest ego.

I am a UK resident, but my physical card has expired because in the UK it is no longer needed. In Croatia, when I was doing my check-in, I was told that I needed an app to prove my right to live in the UK, but they didn’t even know which app it was. How am I supposed to look for something that even the check-in staff don’t know?
I showed that I am an employee of a UK company and they accepted it, even though this is not the correct proof. At first, they didn’t even want to do my check-in. The airport was completely misinformed. The check-in staff were very rude and impatient. The service was of very poor quality.
Never in my life have I gone through something like this. I loved visiting Croatia, an incredible country with amazing people, but the airport is terrible, horrible, a piece of crap.
Croatia is a beautiful country
Croatia is a beautiful country, but it has terrible staff, completely uninformed and poorly instructed, wanting to charge ETAs from permanent UK residents, without concrete and accurate information and super rude staff, unfortunately the airport is terrible.
An airport that is not a credit to Croatia.
Very limited choice of food. Utilitarian style cafes. Too little seating. Too few display boards. No bag drop facility-so after checking in online and with a boarding pass we still queued for checkin. Few ( or no air bridges) so you trudge across the tarmac in the heat. Very basic. Single type of waste bin- no paper plastic glass recycling. Positives ..... Security was efficient and not crowded today. Gates are bright and airy. Duty free expensive... saving a few pounds compared to UK supermarket. You can buy Dark Chocolate Toblerone ( no longer available in UK)
Most boring airport I ve been to
Most boring airport I ve been to! No facilities, restaurants, everything closes early, small… no amenities.
There were absolutely no facilities at…
There were absolutely no facilities at the airport. And the only food options are horrible sandwiches and coffee with a horrific seating area which was very warm.
My experience was terrible.
I had a power bank with me in my carry-on luggage, but it was taken during teh security check because teh cover was slightly raised due to a repair. It qadn't been properly glued back, and apparently that makes it highly flammable on an airplane. Teh power bank cost €168. I worked very hard to be able to afford it. My phone can only be charged wirelessly because teh charging port is damaged. I need teh phone for work, and this power bank was teh only way I could charge it.
Worst Airport ever
Worst experience ever. You need to fill out an endless formula which is mandatory at that airport just to check in for an inner EU flight. They gonna ask you for some weird numbers you never heard of. You need at least a phd in tourist science to be able to fill out that 10 page formula to check in. It def. takes longer to do the online check in than the flight itself. The whole regulatory environment sucks big time. For example what is an FF number? No idea? Well than you cannot check in :). GL
After finding out all the numbers it still did not work and I could not check in. A guy from Lufthansa told me its a common problem on that airport which they still did not fix. So the pro tip is to just avoid Croatia or come by bus.
The airport was quiet and we went…
The airport was quiet and we went through quickly , but do not use the taxis outside as they will rip you off we stayed in Trogir which was a 10 minute journey and I was charged 38 euros and I was told this was for the luggage as well , we were only travelling with the smallest hand luggage .
There is a board stating prices for different areas but the taxi still decided to rip us off avoid at all costs .
Please use uber as this is around 15 euros for this trip .
Beautiful building but why is it so…
Beautiful building but why is it so empty of things travellers need. Bars - we could only find 2 expensive & tiny places for food & dring. air con / none, plus the pagers in the bars are REALLY annoying
AVOID!!!!!! Thieving and lying scam artists!!
Thieving and lying scam artists!!
We took a video of the vehicle before we left, drove to the destination 13km's away, reversed into a spacious parking at our site, and drove 13km's back.
Suddenly a scratch they have no record of. I can see it on our video. The car was handed to us dirty and they did not do a walk-around with us. Dressed like civilians, who knows if they are even running a legitimate operation.
Based off of reading the other reviews they likely tried there luck as we refused the insurance that they have previously forced on all other customers.
Underhanded, conniving, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Very arrogant staff
Very unfriendly, rude,arrogant
and untrained staff at the security. Check-in staff was helpful but not friendly. We were treated with no respect.
Management needs to look into this, because Croatia is a very beautiful country and a positive treatment at the airport would be great.
Dreadful service
Dreadful service. Bag didn’t arrive into split and nobody wants to take any responsibility for it. 5 days later and still no bag. Lost and Found won’t answer my calls because it’s calling from a ‘withheld’ number although bizarrely enough they answered my calls Sunday Monday when I called to chase up if they’d found my bag.
Won’t be flying to split again.
Hostile staff, zero facilities
Hostile staff, new grey large building barren of any facilities. One of the very worst airports I've ever experienced.
AVOID "Caffe bar SJEVER" - TERRIBLE
AVOID "Caffe bar SJEVER"
Fraudulant princing for the worst ever food and drink - used to poor quality/price in expensive Scandinavia but this is next level theft. Rude incompetent staff in addition. So bad airport management need to take action. An embaresment to both airport, local area / Split.
Beautiful building, no air-conditioning??
Beautiful building, and check-in was quick! But why no air-conditioning? After waiting for a few hours due to my delayed flight, it got uncomfortably hot.
