The city of West Palm Beach hired Sport Surfaces to renovate the clay courts at Howard Park Tennis Center.
The company was very responsive to our needs they totally repair and resurface all our clay courts, hard courts and pickleball courts.
We are extremely satisfied with the end result and the product they delivered to our stakeholders.
Especial thanks to Maria and Paul for all the hard work and support.

I had sports surfaces build a tennis…

I had sports surfaces build a tennis court in my home. The sales person Mateo was very professional. I made a few modifications to the court once we started and turned it into a multipurpose court, which was great. We now have volleyball pickle ball and tennis. The change order was fair. The quality of the product was good. I would highly recommend this team.

Absolute Disaster: Avoid Sportsurfaces.com at All Costs (Rating: 0/5)

f I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Sportsurfaces.com has been a catastrophic failure defined by incompetence, bait-and-switch tactics, and sheer negligence toward my property.

The Void of Communication and Incompetence:
Operational leadership, Maria Terentieve (maria) and Paul Gold (pgold), proved completely uncommunicative and utterly incompetent. When the surface started blistering within 24 hours, Maria dismissed the failure, claiming the bubbles were "normal" and would "go away in a few weeks." She promised they would return in the spring to fix the problem if it was still present. Attempts to get updates were met with radio silence with an occasional response once out of every four or five emails, and we are still no closer to a resolution.

Installation Failure and Material Deception:
The installation crew was fundamentally incompetent. During the first attempt, they forgot the required cushioning layer entirely. When they finally returned two weeks later, they executed a cynical bait-and-switch. The final acrylic surface was a cheaper, inferior solution—not the high-grade, cushioned material the sales representative had promised and that I paid for. They also trapped moisture by failing to seal expansion joints leaving water in them and not allowing the court to dry, then rushed the application. The extreme poor quality was immediate, as the surface began to blister severely within 24 hours of completion.

The Final Insult:
A $16,000 Quote to Fix Their Own Error. The following spring, after providing pictures and videos documenting the surface failure, Maria’s team denied the warranty claim and presented a new, astronomical quote for $16,000 to "fix" their incompetence. They claimed this new solution was "far superior" and not covered— however it was the same product and cushioning the sales rep promised originally. The quote even required me to rent my own dumpster and take care of the haul away of the debris from their failed job. Adding insult to injury, Maria began offering contradictory and shifting explanations for the surface failure. Her latest excuse was that the moisture barrier had failed, suggesting a pre-existing condition, even though their shoddy installation trapped the moisture. They promised an independent third party to test the court's moisture, but in another bait-and-switch sent their own staff, who only tested half the court, and we have never received the results. This pattern of obfuscation and avoiding accountability is indefensible. This fraudulent use of cheaper materials and catastrophic workmanship is unacceptable.

Disregard for Private Property:

The installers showed a stunning lack of respect for my property, causing significant, documented damage:

Front Yard Destruction: The crew repeatedly drove their truck over my front yard, treating it like a construction dump, resulting in tire ruts and broken ground.
Damaged Sprinkler System: They broke multiple sprinkler lines while driving, causing me to have to make immediate repairs.
Paint Spillage: They left a large spill of surface paint on my driveway, which is now permanently stained.
Environmental Negligence: The installers cleaned their paint barrels in the middle of my lawn. The chemical runoff killed a massive patch of grass, leaving a permanent scar.

Conclusion: Sportsurfaces.com provided poor workmanship, used fraudulent materials, and negligently damaged my home. My court is ruined, my lawn is scarred, and I am left thousands of dollars out of pocket. Save yourself the headache, the money, and the property damage—find a genuinely professional contractor and avoid Maria Terentieve, Paul Gold, and Sportsurfaces.com entirely.
