Overcharged $30

Paid $50 for a spot a day in advance through the app. Showed up to the lot the day of and they were only charging $20. Overcharged $30 for trying to be proactive and reserve ahead of time.

Wonderly responsive service!…

I initially had some difficulty signing up for a spot (my fault...70 yrs old) and signed up for the same spot twice. The next day I called and the human representative was very polite and understanding and agreed to take one charge off!!

Fast and easy check in, organized, parking attendants were attentive to what's going on. My truck was still there when I came back.
Wish there were coupons for existing customers.

UPDATED REVIEW

EDIT: This is an update. After my complaint was reviewed and receipts provided, Spot Hero offered a credit toward future reservations for the additional charges incurred at the other location. Fair enough deal. Changing the rating to three stars for the followup and resolution. Two stars remain for the inconvenience and hassle. Suggestion: Improve the toll-free line help because no one picks up the calls and do a better job monitoring third-party locations to prevent overbooking and inconveniencing clients.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I would give this company zero stars if the option was available. I had a 17-day prepaid so-called "guaranteed" airport hotel parking booking. However, when I arrived at the location, I was informed that there was no space and was directed to another location. Upon arriving there, I discovered that I had to pay the maximum $20 per day which came to almost three times the booked rate. I had an important flight to catch and unfamiliar with the area, I did not have the time to find an alternative parking spot at a better rate. No one has responded to repeated emails and their "costumer service" phone number places you on perpetual hold. Don't get fooled by the positive reviews. Find a more honest parking company.

No way to get into the garage, no response when I called spot hero

The garage I normally use did not have space so the app put me in a new garage. When I arrived there, the doors were closed, there was no attendant, no way to get in. I tried calling spot hero, no answer. So I had to reserve a place in another garage a bit farther away. I have not yet had the chance to call to ask for a refund but I will do so shortly.
I want to add that my experience with the other two garages I have paid for through spot hero have been very smooth.

Use any other parking service

Use any other parking service. My car was towed after paying SpotHero over $100 to park for a weekend. They will not hurry to reimburse and you will have to keep calling them because they don’t care. Over $700 was spent on towing and fees because of the mistake. Over a week and I’m still waiting for reimbursement.

Both times I’ve used a spot hero…

Both times I’ve used a spot hero parking lot I’ve gotten very angry signs on my car from residents who apparently pay for that reserved spot, even though it’s also a spot hero lot and they never direct you to a specific spot. It makes me worry about someone keying or vandalizing my car. Second, it’s expensive.

Reservation not honored

App and payment were fine. Savings was decent. The reason for the bad rating was that when we went to park at a valet garage in NYC, the attendant told us that the garage was full and that a spot hero reservation was not really a reservation.

So what’s the point of SpotHero if you cannot make a reservation?
