Mainly good

Overall, it's good.But it's not always consistent. There are sometimes that it won't register when the dog goes over.The fence line for a while, I think it's mainly because there's very, very little cell service where we live.

The gps tracking is slow and sometimes…

The gps tracking is slow and sometimes not at all my dog can wonder outside the boundary with out even a tone. I’ve tried resetting the device. It is a good training device and I like the concept just wish it worked better.

Great service

Nice company, but product didn't work

Everyone I worked with in customer service was wonderful. The warranty and exchanges were easy.

However, the collar only worked about 50% of the time. Not, as in my dog didn't listen to it, but the collar did not warn or beep at the boundary. I was really bummed because I really liked the company, but both the original and replacement collar's just didn't work.

SpotOn has been a fantastic addition to…

SpotOn has been a fantastic addition to our home. Our dogs now have the freedom to explore the property safely, and I have complete peace of mind knowing they’re secure and not wandering onto anyone else’s land. The Call Your Dog feature is one of my favorites — it makes it so easy to bring them back when they’re off exploring and I need to head out. Overall, SpotOn has done an excellent job. Highly recommended.

Good but missing the battery life

The purchase and receiving portion was good but I will say the product is a little falsely advertised for the spot on nova. I bought this because the battery was supposed to last longer. It makes it 24 hours so now I’m looking at more options to buy something else. The app was working great until recently where after I turned on the battery saving mode which got me a few extra hours on the collar now I have to be next to the collar and connect to it in order to see battery life. But the dog has quit running has freedom but stays within boundaries so that is a plus.

Thank you for the review. The battery life on the collar will vary depending on your dog's activity level and how often they test the fence line. Turning tracking on for an extended period of time will also drain the collar significantly faster.

Battery saver mode disables cellular features within the app while your dog is within the fence to preserve battery life. Turning it on will hide the battery icon; however, while within battery saver mode, if you connect to the collar via Bluetooth, the battery Icon will reappear.

I was able to locate your account. Mona's collar looks to be in good condition. There are numerous tracking sessions that run for over an hour and, in some cases, for 24 hours. This is contributing to your battery life, not performing as intended. If starting a manual tracking session, always remember to turn it off after the dog is located to preserve battery life.

Sent our collar in for the 2nd time and…

Sent our collar in for the 2nd time and it still won't track my dog. We have 2 collars. An original which has been very problematic and their new upgrade collar. I believe it's called nova. The newer one is a great working collar.

Very easy to set up, but that’s it.

Very easy to set up, but there is not great major cellphone coverage here and apparently spot on can’t use our more local coverage. So this collar is nearly useless. The battery life is also abysmal. If we lived less rural, then this product might be worth it, but between its spotty functionality with our services and the fact that it’s battery dies so quickly, it is essentially useless.

A cellular subscription is not required for our collar to function and has no effect on your dog's containment; that is all controlled via GPS satellites. Cellular subscriptions can be added or canceled at any time and are used solely to receive notifications and use the features on the app's tracking page. The collar also uses a different cellular wavelength than your phone's normal 5G LTE coverage. The collar uses LTE-M. This is used by third-party devices to avoid congesting the cellular tower in day-to-day operation. The cell signal on your phone will never match the signal from your collar. Your Omni collar should run for about 20 -25 hours on a single charge, depending on your dog's activity level and how often they test the fence line. We love the collar and it works great

We love the collar and it works great. We had another brand and with our large yard with many trees it didn’t work well at all. SpotOn is amazing and I have told many family members and friends!

Any concerns we have ever had were dealt with quickly . We love the fact of never worrying about broken or rotten invisible fence wiring that also led to the death of two of our fur family members . Being able to go to our family members home and take the dogs along with fences already saved just load up to collar and save for our dogs and peace of mind for us

I love the ability to change the fence between locations

I love the ability to change the fence, take it anywhere and the signal reliability even in rural or heavily wooded regions. I love the app usage and the info I can get at the tip of my finger tips.
What I wish for is a way to charge it without taking it off. - offering 2 collars maybe to switch out so no break in safety especially for “outdoor all the time dogs”. I also think it would be helpful to have an indicator on the color that is more visible when it’s running low not just warning on app. I also want multiple family members to have access to all app features as well. This might be possible already - I’m not sure.

Currently, if the collar runs low on battery, a red light will appear on the collar, along with a low-battery notification if you have an active cellular subscription. You can also invite a family member to have access to the collar in the app. You can do this from the profile page within the app by clicking the share button next to "My dogs and Escape records". The collar works fantastic BUTT!... ...

The collar works fantastic.... However the it has stopped charging after a month. customer service was quick to send another charger in hopes it is not the collar itself this took a week... But if it is the collar it will need to be sent in for repair which leaves my child without protection for 2 weeks... Would be nice to have a loner collar at full expense to me if it's not returned... Only issue everything else FANTASTIC!!!

Would love help with my spoton issues…

Ive tried several times to email spoton about these issues. I don’t think Im getting my emails to the right department or something. Not sure
One Rot will get shocked just laying on the porch or anywhere within his boarder really, got so bad that his neck was close to infection, so had to go a different direction. The other Rot can come and go as she pleases with no sound or shock to stop her. Ive been through all settings 100 times. I read other reviews and people love these things. Really wish i loved them as well, because i have 2 grand in them!

Customer service not helpful

Customer service not helpful. I like SpotOn collar. But not has a design flaw and no one wants to help solve the issue. Main issue when the dog lays on his left side. It turns the collar off. Then no tracking. Kinda makes the whole thing Worthless. All I need is a software upgrade or a cover for the button so the dog does not turn it off.

To turn the collar off, the button needs to be pressed and held down for several seconds. If your dog is turning the unit off when lying down, I would recommend repositioning the collar around your dog's neck or placing duct tape over the power button to help prevent it from being pressed in. Had mine for over year now on a…

Had mine for over year now on a Doberman Quality product with American support…cons for me are the cellular side is hit and miss, and wish the collar was more customizable. For example the light only stays on 10 seconds…really? The beeps my dog ignores the first beeps as it knows nothing happens until after the solid tone…..after trained the warning beeps should be able to be turned off . Overall great product tho and would buy again.

The service is great in every way but…

The service is great in every way but one the shipping label sent to me for returning the collar for repair was UPS standard and from Canada that took over a week just to get to you then time to fix the collar plus return shipping not sure how long this will take. UPS paw extremely slow might want to think about another courier Other than that you guys are great
