Spriggy is a prepaid card and mobile app for 6-17 year olds that helps young people learn to manage their money through practical real world experience.
The Spriggy app allows parents to easily transfer money to their children and helps teach them the concepts of earning, saving, and responsible spending. Parents can feel confident with visibility of transactions in the app and the ability to lock the card at any time. Young people can use their prepaid card to make purchases online or in-store – anywhere that Visa is accepted.

Spriggy is the best thing out there for my 10 year old nephew. Many payments and games are online purchases, so giving him cash doesn’t help. He has a set spending limits and adores his card. He has to do little jobs/chores to get the money though, they are all in the app. Like his homework, cleaning his room, washing up etc. I feel better that he always has money on him, through his card. Absolutely a win-win situation.

So easy for kids and great way of teaching money rules to kids

Both of my kids are spriggy motivated!
We started off with the 1/2 method (half to savings, half to spendings) now they’re 25% spendings and 75% savings as they love watching their balance grow.
Big tick of a approval from mum and dad!

Great product for kids that need to pay for things without you being there. You have ultimate control over the pursestrings and they get some fun out of using their own card. Five stars Spriggy

I’m really happy with Spriggy. I get instant notifications whenever my daughter spends, which gives me peace of mind. It’s much safer for young people than carrying cash, and I can easily stay on top of things, manage her spending, and top up when necessary. Great tool for both parents and kids.

Based on my experience, I believe the service does not meet the standards advertised, and may be misleading to consumers. I am reporting them to the ACCC
The advertised data toggle feature for child accounts is unreliable. In practice, it often takes up to 30 minutes to activate or deactivate, not the 15 minutes stated.
At least once a week, the data service fails entirely—either jamming or not activating at all—leaving children without access.
The support team has provided inconsistent and contradictory information, and in some cases, responses appear to be inaccurate or misleading.
