My debt is higher after 3yrs with Spring Legal Group

After three years in the program, they collected almost $18,000, and two debts are still unsettled. Then they got sued over this past summer and had to drop me as a client so I had to get a new firm that’ll charge me another $18,000 in fees but do you know what I found out? One of my accounts when I joined Spring Legal was $4,000 but the program was never accepted by the creditor and they now want over $20,000. What made all this worse is their crap communication. No one ever answers your emails, messages posted through the app, and there’s no tracker on how much money is in your account. They supposedly have a separate site for that but I never could get into it and they never respond to requests for help.

I hate SLG and if there’s any justice for their victims, it should go out of business and everyone in a management position should be blackballed in the job market.

Scam

Scam! We made payments ontime monthly for 3 1/2 years. Our debt has not had 1 single payment made. We paid them $27,000 and the fees are outrageous. The debt was $21,00 they settled to pay $9,000 to the creditor. And they still want more money for another 6 months We are cancelling and paying the vendor ourselves!

Spring Legal total scam artists

Would be zero if allowed. Stay away total scam artists. Paid 42k they took 18k in fees. Now saying I need to extend the program another 2 yrs plus. I’ve put in complaints with my State Atty General as well as the Feds. Looking for a lawyer now. Meanwhile I have accounts in litigation and Spring Legal says they can’t negotiate with my creditors due to them being in litigation. If Spring Legal did as promised then the accounts wouldn’t be in litigation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. TOTAL SCAMMERS.

I have been trying to build my credit…

I have been trying to build my credit back up in the last two years so I could get a loan. My credit score is 652 and the issues that Spring Legal was supposed to fix will be on my credit report for 7 years. It will be almost impossible for me to do anything for the next 5 years.

Phone does not answer, website doers not work!
Stop paying them until it is not too late!

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW.

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW.
Spring Legal are part of a multi state, State-attorney complaint. They are not able to practice.
If you have a debt in payment, it will continue to be paid via Global providing you still have the bank draft in force. NOTE Global is not affected and separate company.
If you dont have any debts in payment via global, you can remove your money from Global with no issue. i done this in the last month.

I would rate at a big fat zero

I would rate at a big fat zero, these are scam artists, all the negative reviews are true. We are being robbed. Get out!!! Block them at your bank. Try and get your escrow from Global. I was told today that Spring Legal is temporarily shut down due to a complaint. I bet someday there will be a civil lawsuit. They are robbing us. I too have one of my accounts entrusted to be negotiated and it is in litigation. I can't get anyone at Spring Legal, no help at all. They need to burn in Hell.

Do not do business with Spring

About 3 years ago, I received a letter in the mail about a loan. I figured it would be great to get my payments combined into one. I wasn't struggling by any means to pay my bills. I has been a nightmarish 3 years. I can honestly say I have probably paid more in fees than my debts. Now here is the kicker. I retired and received my 401k. I called and told Spring that I wanted to settle up. They sent me a number on November 15th of 4000.00. I had them withdraw and go for it. Today I get an email that they need 600.00 more. I told them that they weren't getting one more dime from me. Out of the 4000.00 I checked and about 700.00 went to fees. This company does not care about the person that they are suppose to be helping. They are only worried about fees. I finally told the to not settle the debt that they have not settled. I will take a chance and hopefully that company will get in touch and I can settle myself. Please stay away from this company. Go to a non profit debt relief program. I just wanted to add to this. I printed out every statement today and added up fees. My adjusted debt was 27,450. I was charged about 13,000 over that time in fees. You can decide if it is worth using these people. I learned the hard way.

Total crooks

Total crooks
Spoken to 3 people saying they will email me my agreements so I can continue to work with those. Never received
I also told they don’t keep escrow funds but when I call escrow they show my balance a little over 2000 dollars and while on the phone Spring Legal hit the escrow for the same amount for “fees”
I simply asked to cancel to go to a non profit for help
Now I’m reading on reviews I’m probably going to have to call my bank and block my account so they don’t take draft
To say the least that money in my escrow
Could have helped me immensely toward the balance owed
Very disheartened to say the least and to think we who are in enough financial stress have to deal with this and be preyed on this seeking to make money when we are already strained
Shame on you

I can’t even give this a one star… This…

I can’t even give this a one star… This company prey on people that are desperate to pay off any debt. So unfortunately going through the program, customer service is HORRIBLE…….AND, most of the time you call, it is always a different agent that you speak to. And most of them are very unknowledgeable. I mean how hard is it to follow simple instructions that needs to be paid off. I can’t even believe with all the bad reviews and complaints about this company, they are still open. Just please be aware……… DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY……. They have big fat F on the credit bureau. BBB. This company does not know what the they are doing….. I just can’t seem to believe how this company is still running….. The agents do not know what they are doing… every time I call it is always a different answer.

Predatory

Slick presentations, very professional INITIAL communication, and after onboarding, minimal-to-no communication. In two years my credit is destroyed and only two settlements out of five were accomplished. Then one of the two then had to be renegotiated bc of THEIR failure to pay. I had to call myself and grill them for answers. In the meantime, they charge you 20% per month of your total enrolled debt on top of 3-4 other monthly fees, regardless of what work they have or have not done. Zero incentive for their negotiators to work with integrity on your behalf. That 20% could've paid off 2-3 of my debts fully. I wish their had been more reviews two years ago. I hope this helps someone else. Call your credit is directly and negotiate with them yourself.

DO NOT TRUST SPRING LEGAL GROUP

DO NOT TRUST SPRING LEGAL GROUP
We told them our payments to the 2 creditors were always made on time. We do not want any payments to be late if we use them. It's been over a year and they still have not made payments to a creditor. they tell us they are still negotiating. lol It's take more than a year to negotiate? I called them today and they said we need to increase our payments to them. I asked them why they didn't tell us what our total payment should be to make payments to both creditors? Do not use them. Avoid them!!!

I would NOT recommend this company.

I would not recommend this company AT ALL. We have paid them over $16,000 over the last 18 months and they have done almost no work at all. Every account is listed as "offer under review" and hasn't changed in over a year. When we call to ask about progress they just say we have to pay them even more money before they'll do any work. Not what was promised to us at all. I feel deceived and totally fleeced by these guys.

RUN AWAY, DON"T WALK AWAY!

When I say RUN, I mean fast, RUN AWAY FAST and STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are the most irresponsible and negligent companies I have ever encountered. To take people who are in a bad situation and tell them that they will represent them and help in this difficult time and then taking money 19% to be exact, and then dropping the ball, it is horrible.

COVID caused many families to make hard decisions. Such as pay the roof over our heads or pay off other stuff, this is the decision we made, but instead of totally leaving the matter in air, we hired this company to handle the matter. They took the accounts and requested we stop payment those. We paid them $800 a month to handle these matters and use that money to make arrangements. At first we were at ease because we trusted that were handling things. Things turn for the worst. They dropped the ball on multiple accounts, while still charging the monthly, causing multiple garnishments and even a bank account Levy to be place of out bank accounts. Now we were not only paying them, we were being garnished in salary, and any money in the bank accounts being withdrawn to satisfy one of the accounts they dropped. Every time I call not one know what is going on and they keep promising call backs they never do. They refuse to refund the 19% charged on two of the account they dropped the ball on, knowing quiet well that they are liable for the mess. WE are currently in hell because of this company and their behavior is nothing short of customer abuse. At this point I have started desperately looking for a solution on my own and would seriously love to find out if I am able to sue them for negligence and emotional distress. In case you do not know, when a garnishment goes through you usually pay way over what the original debt was because you have to pay court fees and such, also, every time the court withdraws a levy the bank charges $100-$125 legal fee for the transaction.

PLEASE RUN, and do not give this company a second thought. If you have enrolled already, stay on top of your account/s and call them weekly, and even when doing that, you might have still made the biggest mistake of your life. Seek legal advise somewhere else and see about trying your best to negotiate on your own.
