Best decision of my life. Eternally grateful.
After getting rejected by Imperial College London to study Mathematics Msci, I can finally say, I’m glad I was rejected.
It initially broke me, my first university choice rejecting me. Had I done all of this for nothing?!
But, as a shining beacon of hope in my misery,
Squidward came on me.
He told me in a dream “Everything happens for a reason, don’t give up!”
The next day, I found SCC, and applied. The admissions team was excellent, responded so fast, none of that ‘waiting five months for ucas update’ nonsense. They reassured me that there was a 4-year integrated masters degree in mathematics waiting for me at SCC.
At first, I was hesitant, it seemed nothing like the Russell group universities I had applied for, but as the semesters passed, I got to learn… SCC is better than them all.
The support I got throughout my degree was astounding, with tutorials much like at Oxbridge and an impeccable teaching standard. Fluid Dynamics was my favourite module, with the Navier-Stokes Equations being solved right before my very eyes by the genius squids that taught here.
I met so many lovely people/crustaceans, and made life-long friendships along the way. The wellbeing and mental health support was great, and I went to the best house parties!
Moreover, the graduate prospects are incredibly commendable, with employers looking highly on applicants like me when they see a qualification from the prestigious SCC next to my name.
I’m set for life, thanks to Squidward Community College.
Who would’ve thought that getting rejected my first choice university would get me here; I’m happier than I ever could’ve been.
Everything happens for a reason.
Thank you Squidward, and thank you SCC.
