Beautiful experience would recommend it…
Beautiful experience would recommend it everyone who loves to go on an adventure and have an great service!
We had an great hotel in a safe neighborhood. Clean room and it was easy to acess with the subs.
Srprs.me really kept our wishes in mind and send us to an lovely destination. We are planning our next trip with them soon
Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel, very friendly hosts, very nice breakfast service! Lovely diner for nice price! Small village is romantic and well maintained! You really need to visit!!!!
Very very bad experience
Very very bad experience.
I booked a trip 1,5 years ago. It was cancelled because of Covid19 so they proposed me to receive a voucher or a refund. After postposing my trip many times, I asked for a refund because the situation was really unsure. 2 months later, it's still IMPOSSIBLE to get my money back (we are talking about more than 500 euros!!). They promise, they make me wait, they thank me for my patience, they give me deadlines ("you can be sure you'll have your money on the 4th of june"). 15th of june, I send another email because I have NO NEWS and they ask me my number account....
Result : I'm still waiting for my money and I'm absolutely furious.
Don't trust this company !!!
Too expensive
Too expensive
We paid €260 for a B&B that cost €100 on Booking.com, a margin of €160 is way too much for the service we've received.

The room we booked was lovely but we feel ripped off
The room we booked was lovely. But unfortunately we were moved to another hotel, through the difficult circumstances of corona. We understand how this can happen during a pandemic, what with being understaffed, etc. What we don’t understand is why they (The hotel & srprs.me) did not just cancel In the first place. When we arrived at the 1st hotel the person checking us in told us how difficult things were and it had the effect that we felt like we were “imposing”, or causing them and inconvenience by being there. We acted super sympathetic and understanding towards them but actually, looking back, well, we were too nice- even when my husband got stuck in the lift for Over 10 minutes we did not want to seem too annoyed towards them due to the pandemic situation.
We moved to a new hotel which was lovely- why couldn’t the whole thing just have been there entirely? We are so puzzled by that! We are very concerned about the cost of the 2nd hotel we went to though, compared to how much we were charged- it was clearly cheaper than the first - who is benefiting from this discrepancy- the 1st hotel or srprs.me? The room we were in the last night (as we had to be moved from night 2 to night 3 due to availability) costs like half of what we were charged. This is so disappointing. We are so confused and disappointed. As I said, we are full of understanding and sympathy towards the service industry during the pandemic, however we felt ripped off!! We wonder can we please get reimbursed due to the fact that the room rate was cheaper in the 2nd place.

Absolutely Amazing - definitely srprsed :)
Absolutely Amazing!
When the location was revealed and we saw that the weather wasn't too good, we were slightly disappointed in the beginning.
But when we arrived and saw the absolutely beautiful hotel, everything changed. The nature was amazing, people were super friendly and the cherry on top was that srprs.me already arranged some nice surprises for us (private sauna use, lunch boxes to go on a hiking trip, table in the restaurant, welcome drink).
Usually I'm always the planner in our group, but it was great just not to take care of anything this time. Also, it was a location that we probably never would have picker ourselves, so that was even better! An absolutely amazing and beautiful weekend!

Great concept, AWFUL execution!
If I could give less than one star I would!
The poorest customer service that I have ever experienced. Staff are rude, disinterested and unconcerned with their customers.
Asking for documents last minute, not giving any solid time frames then demanding and threatening to cancel the holiday.
On the day the link didn't work so we had the reveal over the phone... ten minutes later we went to check in only to be told by the airline that the flight had been cancelled and several notifications had been sent out - there were no other passengers there so I assume everyone else got the memo but srprs.me claim they weren't notified... (the airline showed proof of the notifications having been sent) Luckily, the airline were great and sorted out the flights because of course our srprs.me agent was unavailable when I called them.
They then sent us to Vietnam with a 10 hour stop over in Hong Kong on the way home... This is in the height of the Corona virus! No due diligence done there - clearly!
Oh, and with the stop over, they stated that there were NO other available flights (I was confirmed by the airline that there in fact were other flights available and if our flight had been cancelled they would happily have booked us onto another flight with a partner airline) srprs.me refused to book us a hotel or lounge access stating it was not possible (I checked with the lounge, it was possible - another lie from srprs.me) so we were then out of pocket for that.
We requested 5* accommodation, and we were indeed in a 5* hotel, it was in a good location and the staff were great, but we had clearly been booked into the very cheapest room srprs.me could possibly have found - we didn't even have a window in the room!
When trying to escalate issues, I was told that they have no management at srprs.me, no way to escalate and was then hung up on.
I love the idea, I would try this with another company, the concept is great but srprs.me are rude, amateur and have zero concept of what customer service should be. Highly recommend you avoid at all costs!!!

Disaster Holiday
Went on a trip and was sent to Sofia Bulgaria. I was sent in January and told by all the locals that I shouldn't have come at this time of year at all. Booked for a 4 day holiday only to find due to my flights being so late in the day that it was actually only a 3 day one by the time I arrived! Was then robbed in the accomodation they put me up in and had to pay for a new hotel to feel safe!
A big part of the gimmick is not knowing where you are going, but they give you weather updates, I was told 10°c and sunny.....so you can imagine my shock at finding it -5°c and so foggy most tours where cancled! Obviously they can't control the weather, but to be this massively off advice that I was completely unprepared for the conditions is unacceptable!
After I emailed to complain, I was told essentially tough luck, maybe next time. I then emailed again asking for a partial refund or atleast compensation for the hotel I had to book... was given a £20 gift voucher for them.
Never again!

Such an excellent experience-- going again!
I had such an incredible time on my srprs.me holiday and would definitely recommend that anyone toying with the idea goes for it!
Booking was incredibly easy-- the site is pretty self explanatory and allows you all different ways of controlling a little bit of your mystery. I booked in for a 5 day city break on their 'New Places' scheme and chose the very basic hostel accommodation.
Scratchcard and boarding passes arrived with plenty of time before the flight. Had a tiny issue with there being problems with ATC a few days before my flight so reached out to the srprs.me team and they replied extremely promptly and were very friendly and helpful.
The unlock experience at the airport was an adventure in itself (one critique is that it really doesn't unlock until bang on when they tell you to arrive for your flight which means if you're like me you end up hanging around at the airport still in suspense if you're early!)
The city they sent me to was perfect for the length of time I was staying and so I had plenty to do and explore. It wasn't somewhere I would have even considered picking and now I would definitely recommend it as a destination to my friends. The accommodation was a really high quality hostel which was 20 minutes walk to the city centre and had transport links just outside which made it a dream at the end of a long day of exploring.
All in all I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I'm already planning my next trip!
An amazing unforgettable experience - definitely recommend!!1
The srprs.me team were absolutely amazing whilst we were booking. We ended up booking transfers through the company and they turned out to be cheaper than they thought so refunded us some money which was a nice surprise.
The actual hotel was beautiful, we went for the Comfort accommodation but the hotel was easily 4 Stars. It was in a great location, on a side street off the main road. It only took 20-25 mins to walk to the city centre where a lot of the tourist attractions were and the main road we walked on had a lot going on too, it also made it really easy to find the hotel as we knew we just had to get onto that one road then keep walking.
The food at the hotel was really nice too, we hadn’t chosen the breakfast option but when we arrived at the hotel it was included in our stay for free - another treat!
On the first day we went to the hotel restaurant for something to eat and when we came back to the room we found a lovely cake and postcard left by the srprs.me team saying Happy Birthday (the reason we came away).
Coming into the holiday we were very open minded as to where we were going and what to expect from the hotel, the whole holiday completely exceeded our expectations. There was so much to do in the 3 days we had in our location and it was somewhere completely unexpected, we’d love to go back!
The excitement that comes with this type of holiday was great too and can’t wait till we try another one - especially the part where we had the countdown app at the airport waiting for our destination to be revealed. All in all it was a 10/10 holiday and definitely recommend!!
Amazing trip - would definitely book again!
If you’re in two minds about booking a surprise trip, I 100% recommend just going for it! I’m normally the kind of person who is super organised, gets a guide book and looks everything up on TripAdvisor before going on holiday. But this time, I let srprs.me handle my trip and it was amazing! From booking to returning home, it was a great experience which I would definitely do again either on my own or with friends or family.
I paid £225 (curse the ~£50 single supplement!) for a 3-night, 4-day trip in standard accommodation. My flights were from Stansted with Ryanair (delayed by over 1 hour there and back but that’s not srprs.me’s fault.) I was surprised by the accommodation which was a beautiful 100-year-old characterful hotel in an amazing location just 1-minute walk from the old town square. If that was the ‘standard’ option I wonder what the ‘comfort’ option is like!
I won’t tell you the city but it was a great location with plenty to do for a weekend. I’m very surprised by other reviews I’ve seen which said the location I went to was rubbish and they did everything there was to do in a day. I don’t know what they were looking to do but I just used TripAdvisor, went to the Tourist Information and also picked up a free tourist guide and found so much to do I didn’t have time to do everything or go to any museums! Even if I hadn’t used TripAdvisor, there was still so much to wander around and look at and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Wherever you do go, I recommend finding out if the city does a free walking tour (with tips to the guide at the end, it is their job).
I’m also surprised by the negative reviews of srprs.me which say ‘the locals didn’t speak English’ or ‘lots of places were shut on Mondays’ (it’s very common in European cities for places open at the weekend to be shut on Mondays). I suppose everyone has different expectations and you can’t please everyone but still, use some common sense!
Logistics-wise, everything went smoothly with the booking and checking in at the airport and at the hotel. A month before, I received reminder information for my trip (time to be at the airport, luggage allowance etc). Just over a week before, I had an email letting me know they were posting my scratch card to me and that I could check the destination weather seven days before via a link, which worked fine. At the airport, I followed the link on the scratchcard to enter the code to reveal my destination (you have to go via the link not via your account on the website). The travel information was immediately emailed to me but I already had the boarding passes in a separate sealed envelope which I hadn’t looked at. Easy-peasy!
From reading other reviews, if you do have any kind of problem with the code or whilst you’re on the trip, phone the emergency number or contact them via Facebook instead of waiting till you get back and complain via a review. I filled in srprs.me’s email feedback once I had returned and received a personal reply which shows they do read it.
Just back from my 2nd sprs me trip and…
Just back from my 2nd sprs me trip and absolutely loved it!
So well organised both times and they get back to you very quickly if you contact them. Accommodation was good and so close to the city centres.
Can't wait for my next trip!
Mystery holiday
It all started with a countdown in the airport.. a destination I would never have booked for myself but had a fantastic time. So helpful and nice (thanks Colleen for the birthday wishes) would highly recommend
crappy location but great idea
As much as I love the idea and concept! And I can 100% say I’ve enjoyed my trip.
My friend and I are just finishing our srprs trip from Poznan, Poland.
Krakow, Poland was one of our cities we did not want to go to as we have both been there, and tbh aren’t fussed on Poland. We were kind of disheartened to learn we were being sent to Poland.
We booked a 3 night stay and 4 full days. We think a bit more thought or research could’ve been put in to our destination and 4 days in Poznan is far too much. We have seen about every shopping centre and visited every museum all in 2 days. Tbh we have struggled to find things to do and have resorted to sitting in coffee shops for hours out of the cold.
I would still recommend srprs.me but disappointed in our location. But that was the risk we knew when booking!
Our hotel was amazing however. Couldn’t fault it! 4* with a spa and everything!
Happy to be going home!
Awesome trip!
Everything was perfectly arranged and it was super easy for us. The surprise effect was soooo cool. We went to a place we would probably not even have thought about and stayed in a beautiful hotel in the centre of the city. Can really recommend to do this.
thinking of booking ... DO IT, I’m hooked
If you reading this review wondering if you sould book a trip, I can’t recommend this experience enough. The surprise factor adds so much adventure to the experience. Iv now been twice and both times have been a above expectations this is in part to the fantastic stprs.me team’s organsation and costumer service.
Hotels have both been much better than expected and so central to the town centres. Flights have been perfect. Both locations have been places I’d never thought of visiting and now I’m actually planning to go back to my first location to see more of because I loved it so much. I’m trying not the mention the locations so not to give the game away to anyone about their trip.
Iv actually found not knowing where you are going inproves the experience before and after, It give you great story’s to tell people and so many of my friends are now going to try it out for them selfs. I never right reveiws for anything but this deserve a 5* review because it was a 5* experience for me.
Everything about this trip was perfect
Everything about this trip was perfect. Communication from the start, the reveal, the destination, the transfer, the hotel! We couldn't fault it. The destination was ideal for us and we couldn't have chosen better ourselves. Hotel was just a short walk from town, was so nice to be in a quieter area we may not have chosen ourselves.
We can't wait to do our next one already!
A must-do holiday experience for any adventurer.
Sprs.me offer a unique holiday experience, even for the most travelled Wunderluster! Not only is the surprise element and suspense before the trip exhilarating, the possibility of exploring a city you may know nothing about is an absolute thrill!
From the moment the adrenaline hits when your destination to revealed to you, to frantically googling what to do and where to go on the airport wifi and then arriving in your well-vetted, luxury hotel room the entire experience is seamless and allows for maximum city-break enjoyment, with very little planning on your behalf.
Sprs.me is a must-do holiday experience for any adventurer!
Worldwide surprise trip
Worldwide surprise trip
Not knowing that you'll travel to a super distant country a few hours in advance turned out to be one of the most exciting experiences of my life so far. Srprs.me planned everything carefully, responded quickly to every question and chose the perfect destination as well as the perfect accommodation for us. Everything was super smooth :-)
Will definitely do it again!!
Surprise Honeymoon!
Our first surprise trip, and also our honeymoon, we booked a four day anywhere in Europe trip. We told them it was our honeymoon as soon as we booked, and everything along the way went perfectly. The customer service was excellent, very easy to communicate through email (we never needed to call them). They did call us soon after we booked to ask us a few things because it was our honeymoon. They offered to book activities and restaurants for us, which was a lovely touch. We ended up getting them to book a mystery restaurant which turned out to be amazing!
We received our weather report and card in the post all in good time, everything went smoothly at the airport, we had plenty of time to get our flight. Once arrived our transfers were great and the hotel was fantastic. They had obviously told everyone they dealt with that it was our honeymoon as the hotel left a bottle of bubbly in our room for us, as well as a note from srprs.me which was really lovely.
All in all we can't fault them, they made our honeymoon even more special than it already was. We're already looking forward to booking our next trip, and trying to convince our friends how fun it is!
Plus, added bonus, usually I love planning holidays, but it was so relaxing not needing to plan anything, which was another added surprise!
