I was surprised to have a zoom(?) visit with the Optometrist, but it was a Very thorough exam!!!
My mom and I had a great experience on this place. It was a friendly environment. We didn't have to wait a long time before they helped us. They are courteous, they have an amazing price. The glasses were for my mom but am planning to go there to get mine glasses when the time comes even though is not close to me at all.
I was very disappointed with my experience. First, they charged me for a free eye exam. When I ordered my glasses I told them I wanted my glasses to be super dark and they are not. They only are dark when I am facing the sun. I drive for a living and this is very disappointing. Even my last pair I received from Walmart changed in the car. Then they gave me glasses that make me feel like I am driving a 18 wheeler and I drive a Hyundai. Hopefully they can fix my glasses.

The people that work there are awesome. They answered every question I had about the exam. They even helped me pick out not one but two pair of glasses. They are not as expensive as people would think. They even have free glasses with the exam. I chose to buy mine an they were not expensive as most places are.
I first went to this store in 2020. I saved around $1,000 from what it would have cost me for 3 similar pairs of glasses at Lenscraters. The optician who helped me was absolutely top notch and I was extremely happy with my experience. I wish I could say the same now, but unfortunately I can't.
This time, my husband came with me and we bought 5 pairs of frames and lenses. There was no licensed optician onsite whatsoever. The sales manager (Nestor) was good at saving me money, but did not enter the right numbers into the order, so all 5 pairs have to be redone. I went through a great deal of pain for 10 days because my new glasses were not done correctly. I went back to the optometrist to have my prescription checked, and then back to Stanton to get all of our glasses done with the right numbers. It remains to be seen if all of the issues were properly addressed.
There is only one woman there who can adjust the frames for fit and she does this primarily with the nose pads, but doesn't adjust the temples, so the glasses don't ride down my nose, but they still don't feel secure on my face. I also get big dents in the sides of my nose from the nose pads. They don't hurt, though.
The frame choices were varied in quality and price, but I feel that overall, the 3 frames I got 6 years ago were superior. My husband is delighted with his, but I am not as happy as I should be with mine.
One big thing for me is that the blue light protective coating I got on my lined bifocals is no longer available except on single vision and progressive bifocals, so the only way I can cut down on glare is to wear polarized clip-ons over my computer glasses that cut out all light below 450nm.
Overall, we still saved a lot of money (saved ~$950 for all 5 pairs after paying the premium for VSP insurance), but I cannot refer people there with confidence that they will have a good experience.
Neither the store manager (Damian) or sales manager (Nestor) do any adjustments and no one helped us pick out frames. The absence of a licensed optician is a big negative. I cannot imagine that their telehealth remote eye exams can be as good as in-person exams with a skilled optometrist, so the next time we have to buy glasses, I think we'll have to consider paying a lot more if we want better service and quality than we got this time around.
One positive note: the lab seems to have made the lenses correctly. The problem was that the numbers they were given were not correct.

You advertise 2 pair of progressive for $139.00, I was looking for one pair of safety for work. I understand that will increase the cost, but... $1500.00 ? After the free pair the bill was still over $700.00. I didn't get much help fitting the glasses when I picked them up. So far the glasses are serving me well.

Didn’t get to speak to an actual optometrist. They simply handed me a prescription and said that if I had any concerns about my eye health to ask my family physician. This was after being reassured that I would see their optometrist. Will never go back.

Great experience at Stanton Optical! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the selection of frames was excellent, and the whole process was smooth and easy from start to finish. My glasses arrived right on time as promised. Highly recommend!
When I scheduled my eye exam over the phone the guy could barely speak English . Then when I went for my eye exam the lady at the counter was stressed because they were short staffed . And even said in front of me this is not the day for her co worker to come to work late . And even though this was my 3rd time getting an eye exam and glasses fro
This same Stanton . They had messed up all my information in the system . And had me as a different person . The one bright spot was the gentleman that helped me pick out my glasses .I purchased 2 pairs and spent almost $800.00 he told me it would be about 2 weeks before they came in and I would get a text . 2 weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything so I called . Again got someone who barely spoke English. He told me my glasses would be in the next day . I showed up the next day . And no glasses
