The service from Stuart was fantastic and the mantel was superb. I originally ordered the wrong size, which was completely my fault, but Stuart refunded the difference and sent me the correct order. Having a mantel that can be installed close to the heat source enabled me to lower the TV significantly. The mantel acts as a fantastic heat deflector and I've had no issues since installing it (1 year ago).

Stuart was kind enough to respond to my email when I was seeking advice, and he did so in a way that clearly put my best interests first — even though it meant I wouldn’t be purchasing his own product. That level of honesty and integrity is rare. A true gentleman who prioritised giving the right advice over making a sale. Exceptional customer service throughout.

Easy to use website very clear explanations on products.
Emailed when the product was finished and with parcel force. Still in packaging as do not want to open until it gos on the wall. So I can update as soon as I have seen it. Now unwrapped very good quality good instructions would highly recommend.

Great idea to avoid the ubiquitous fake stoneware ones. Nice finish and supplied primer only so we could paint the heatshield to match. Good service prompt delivery.

Arrived on time, very well packaged. Well built sturdy shelf made with care. Fixings good, took a while to put up but that was down to my wonky wall not the shelf. It’s definitely not going anywhere now it’s on, it’s solid. Looks good very pleased with it. Would highly recommend.

I had been searching for months to find a non combustible mantle and had been to so many showrooms and had samples delivered but all of them looked fake. Then I found Stuart’s workshop and asked for samples in the black slate effect . It was a brilliant match but I was still a bit wary of buying such a large item over the internet without seeing the whole mantle . Stuart liased with me about size and spacing for drill holes etc and basically reassured me . The final result was everything I wanted and I would recommend this product to you

We wanted a bespoke oak beam for our newly installed wood burner fireplace. We found Stuart’s workshop on line. He was incredibly helpful from the first contact and kept us updated throughout the process of order and to delivery. We did not want a false beam but needed heat safety. The beam that Stuart made for us with the heat shield is a work of art! It looks stunning and finished off our fireplace perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
