In honor of a friend
I had a star named after a friend who lost her battle to cancer. Knowing how science was always a big part of her life I immediately thought of this to honor her. I gifted it to her family and they instantly found her star using the QR code. They were ecstatic! The presentation, certificate and overall visual experience made a lasting impression. Having the star map helps her children with finding the constellation her star is located in. Being able to choose which constellation was an added bonus for me since she was Taurus.

Not much care for customers.
Cool product idea but not much care shown for customers.
First off, I feel scammed out of some money for the expedited shipping. I paid extra for the 1-3 day shipping and it ended up coming in 4 business days. I placed my order on the 10th expecting it by the 12th (the following Thursday) and it ended up arriving the following Monday. When I voiced my concern they told me that the first business day starts after the date of order. Reasonable, but still, that should’ve been at least by the 13th. They then told me that since they’re from Germany, it was already the 11th by the time I ordered, making the first business day the 12th. If this was stated somewhere before checkout, I would’ve found this to be reasonable. However, as someone ordering from America, I feel as though it should be safe to assume that it should be stated in the time I was accustomed to. How was I supposed to know all of that? I never got my refund for the expedited shipping.
The frame also came broken. They were prompt in a response and letting me know that they would send a new one free of charge, but the replacement took almost 4 weeks to arrive. Not only is that not expedited, which I feel should’ve been included since I paid for it on the main order, that’s also significantly slower than their standard shipping.
The frame is also low quality. This is more nitpicky but anyone planning to buy this product should get their own, nicer frame from Walmart for $5 instead of spending $20 for what seems like cardboard with a stand on it.
The certificate and presentation are nice, which is why I didn’t give only 1 star, but if I do this again I think I’ll be looking for another company.
