I love banking with Starling, its an easy to use app and has everything I need, transfers are straightforward and I love the spaces option which allows you to stay organised and save for different things.

Poor bank service. I tried to make an urgent payment for my child's education on deadline. I was asked a million security questions (which is fine).
However, after answering all those questions, "ineffective Starling" took my money but refused to send it saying security review. Okay can this be done now? Starling response: "Oh no, the security team is not in now. This will be on hold until tomorrow morning when they resume"
Now I kindly request my funds so I can use other accounts I have in effective banks to make the payment. "No. We can do that but it will take 7 days for this to process".
If I need to make a quick payment for an investment opportunity, Starling is not for you.
Migrating future processes away from Starling. Security is meant to help one, not be a hindrance.

The customer care is really first class it's just a really good bank to put your money into if you like security and no nonsense service if you are unlucky enough to be scammed you are in safe hands and if you have been ripped off Starling will help you they don't just stand back and take your money they really care for your custom and don't just take you for granted

Easy to use app. Good currency exchange rate and easy to pay bills or make transfers in Euros. Love the saving spaces, it is a good way to put money aside for future projects or bills. Very happy with Starling, it makes life much easier and is suitable for our needs.

I find the app easy to navigate, clear & informative, not over complicated . Bonus is not being charged to use card in Europe. Regular emails on new services available , rate changes mean I can make informed choices going forward. A great bank for me.

Not very supportive for a small business.
In addition, there are no incentives, they don't pay interest when you are in credit. They don't do overdrafts. Disappointing.

I love starling and have used this bank for 5 years now. I enjoy the different spaces you can set up and have a virtual card to pay direct from them, all for free! It’s easy to use and I have had to use the chat on the app a couple of times for help and they sorted my issue right away!

Starling is a breath of fresh air. It's fair. It's fast. Its IT works 99.9% of the time (and the other 0.1% was something I didn't understand). Customer services on the call centre are superb. And I feel safe.
I moved from another well known ethical bank which was a shambles. The move to Starling has been a significant boost for my company's financial security.

Have a successful family run business trading for 40 years with and never had any money issues, or problems getting a Business or private accounts, however our Starling business account application came back as 'application unsuccessful' and won't give reason(s) or provide specific information why.
Don't think they want small family businesses.
