They charged me after I canceled my subscription… twice! They said they confirmed it’s canceled this time and said I couldn’t get a refund. Also no one responds to your jobs and very confusing site.

My original review, along with numerous other negative reviews, have been removed. I've been a member for several years and was more than happy with the old layout and actually posted several paid work casting calls.

However, all that changed when Backstage got involved and the new layout is just a joke and almost impossible to navigate.

My membership is due to renew in November and I wont be renewing.

Sad really because it used to be good.

Great service, thoughtful feedback and suggestions, obviously built and run by a community that cares about what they do.

Although I have used Starnow several times over the years, when I went to use it this time, I had some queries about how I could approach entering my casting requirements. I had no problem understanding the programme, but I had a query about making a more generalised request for cast. I contacted Starnow and was answered in about 30 minutes. I was told that what I wanted to do was possible, and how to it. When I sent another follow up query/thank you message, this too was answered within a short time.
Each time I have used Starnow for casting my shows, I have always had great support, advice and feedback from them. Thanks guys (and guy-esses). John Fausett

This agency is a scam. I canceled subscriptions for my son 3 years ago and they still take money from my card. I have lost thousands of dollars with nothing to show for it. As all scammers it is very hard to contact them. I am now taking a legal route with them.

Membership scheme is such a scam. Waste of money and time. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

They are robbing customers of there money without permission my partner cancelled her account and because they still had her bank details decided to take £30 without any warning she has decided to go to the fraud investigation team to get her money back this is quite disgraceful from star now

It did not say it is gonna take more than a moth - wanted trial - instead lost £30 to which i wasnt ready - please avoid!!! scam!!! and no response from them how to cancel.

Was charged after a free upgrade not knowing about it.
I had originally wanted to cancel my subscription but then i was given a free upgrade. So i thought it would cancel after that finished. My no i was charged with no warning, no email or notification on starnow. My account went into minus and now i have not got enough for rent.
Avoid if you are tight on money as they do not refund even if you tell them straight away on the day of the money going out as it was not my 'first' payment.

Don’t have anything to do with them! I was charged for what was advertised as a free subscription and got absolutely no work from this whatsoever!
If you have to pay then pay for a more reputable agency!

Waste of money, they refused to cancel my account and then refused to refund me. They are a scam, do not trust them and also their customer service is awful! You would get more sense and empathy talking to a lampshade.

I’m not sure what the subscription thing is about I don’t have a subscription without starnow I wouldn’t of had the photoshoot of an outstanding quality I get followers on my profile and people viewing my profile with potential offers
I do wish I had more work offers mind you but in the modelling industry it’s a tough job

Like so many others here, I deem myself unjustly treated by starnow.

They will hold up their terms and conditions as if revealed by God, if you ask for refund you feel wrongly taken from you.

A checkbox explicitly asking this would be good. But that would be too ethical.

How many more have been unjustly treated by starnow?

There are many other honorable firms out there. starnow in my experience have proved they're far far from being one.

I requested that my email address be changed as the system had not worked to do this. I received confirmation from Huia within just 10 minutes that this had been done. I was thrilled that the process was made so quick and simple.

I honestly am gob smacked.
I am extremely confused why my account has been charged $50.49 for a FREE account!?
I never entered my credit card details or any personal information leading to my financials but somehow this company managed to bill me?
This is a serious breach of privacy and if I do not hear from the company and issued a refund I will be taking this further.

RICCARDO ARCERI. If you don't want them to keep taking your money when the payment is due, simply move your money out or cancel your debit card and get a new one.

I cancelled my membership in good time the way they said via email.
I received a confirmation email stating my cancellation and that the membership will be closed on the 15th of march 2021.
Today on the 4th of April 2021 they have taken another £29.94 from my bank account and stating that another payment will be due on the 15th of April 2021 ore tho my profile is closed.
Notice that you are unable to remove your card from the website so they can keep taking money off from you.
They have done this to many people already.
You must contact your bank and get them to block them from any further payments and report them to fraud.
They all hide behind emails and have no direct customer help line.
StarNow don't bother insulting our intelligence with lame excuses as you have done to many and you know it.
Give us back our money you robbing crooks!

It's a scam dont waste your time money or energy or sign up to anything these people offer. These are professional scammers. They take money and deliver no service. Dont believe the replies they do either. Like I said professional scammers. Stay safe people.

I had standart membership of Starnow for a while. In summer 2020 I've got notification for automatic payment for the subscription. I decided that it will be the last payment because Starnow didn't give me anything. I cancelled my subscription on the website because they don't even have that option in their app. But fter 6 months they withdraw money from my bank account again which I didn't want to. I contacted to Starnow for refund. They didn't give me refund and they said they only see my cancellation right now which I cancelled 6 month ago. I am disappointed with their service also scam like subscription trick.
