BUYER BEWARE! - ** -500 Rating** WORST EVER!!

I want to give 0 stars but it will not let me! Well, looks like I am not the only one! I ordered on 12/1/21 as a Christmas present to be given and used for vacation during 12/18 - 12/23/21. I never received any notification of any delays, I too was shown that it was in stock. When I realized it wasn't going to make it for vacation/Christmas, I started the process of attempting to reach someone to cancel and for a full refund of 163.00. This has been going on now for 2 weeks, everyday. Form letter type emails, I was reading the response from StarScope in these reviews, every one is exactly same verbiage, only difference is name. Has anyone found out where this company is based? We need to contact consumer affairs, BBB or somebody because they are making the website look real, everything about the product looks legit but boy they are taking our money and running! BUYER BEWARE!!!

Terrible!! This is a scam!

Terrible!!! This is most definitely a scam! I have not received my item, and don't believe it has even been dispatched yet. I have tried contacting them to cancel the order and get a refund. the only contact I get from them is a daily automated email that pretends it is from a person, but clearly is not because they haven't even bothered to fill in the blanks!
And to top it all, today their automated email contains an "offer" to buy more from them as an apology!

I am very disappointed with this…

I am very disappointed with this company. They have a very elaborate ad online and promise much about the product. I paid for the starscope monocular through Pal Pal on November 29 as a Christmas gift. The payment went to to company a day after my order and I still have not received the item. Whenever I called I only got a robo answer machine. The one time I got to talk to a live person he gave me a postal tracking number. Whenever I tried to get an update the answer was that the label has been made but no movement on the package by the company since December13. Christmas is over and now I am going to initiate an investigation and refund through Pay Pal. This company gets nothing but bad reviews which I discovered too late. Even those who actually receive the product complain that it is nothing like the advertisement claims. Save yourself the aggravation!!

NEVER Shipped

I ordered 2 on 12/1/21 and got an email on 12/9/21 that it is delayed. Payment was taken on 12/1. They have not answered my email and can't get a chat or call to go through. No contact what so ever! They say refunds are up to 30 days is approved.

total scam

total scam! They take the money straight away, no order confirmation and no goods after 6 weeks, numerous emails to them, no reply! live chat, just generic responses from website, got told order confirmation would be re-sent in 24 hours and to be patient! didnt even address my question of where the order actually was! that was 4 days ago, not even a reply when i contact AGAIN to cancel and get a refund and now i notice they've removed the live chat function from website

Should be a NEGATIVE 5 STARS!! Website says their Starscope is in stock, so I submitted and paid for one. Upon not receiving I chatted online with a customer service rep who said all orders are on backorder!! I demanded a full refund, which they refused to give!!

Don’t waste your money

I ordered 4 of these almost 3 weeks ago. They have not been shipped. They sent me a message saying my order didn't go through and wanted another payment source but I checked with my bank and the payment DID go through. I called them and they said the order would mail out in a couple if days. That was two weeks ago. Still not shipped.

Might be a scam

I finally received my order just in time for Christmas, how well they work is yet to be determined
I thought it was a scam, because non of the help options on website worked could only chat.
So it’s not a scam
I ordered 3 from starscope, they email a confirmation and stated that they would notify me once it has shipped with in 3-7days. I never received an email, and when I tried to contact them I was only able to chat. I did and they apologized and said they’d contact me. I ordered this 11/23 and it’s 12/8 and have not heard or received an email stating it has been shipped. I feel like this is a scam. This chat was weird. There is no customer service number and when I went to questions about MY ORDER it was just FAQs no help and another reason I think it is a scam. I ordered 3 for Christmas presents. They had the “ deliveries have been slowed down or held up on their side.”
I think you should order from Amazon not this site.

Caveat emptor. buyer beware.

this device comes nowhere near the advertised magnification shown on tv. The scope may have bac4 prisms but it was its zoom I bought it for. Very disappointed.

Item not dispatched after 6wk

Ordered scope and iphone bracket in Oct 21, 6 weeks no delivery, they spun a tale and procrastinated, dont trust them. Requested full refund, which was provided 2nd time of asking.
See their reply, typical of their waffle, having stock and dispatching in good time would be a better priority.
Wholly unsatisfactory service.

Dreadful service - haven't received the product!

I haven't even received mine yet despite it having been ordered weeks ago.
They aren't even replying to emails so I think the whole company is a scam?

This site is a total misrepresentation…

This site is a total misrepresentation of what comes in the package. Thank goodness I cancelled before it even shipped only to be disappointed in the performance as well! (According to the reviews I failed to research)
After placing an order for 5 units I learned it does not even come with the phone mount per Jonah at customer support they are available through a 3rd party site for $12.99 and the FAQ sheet shows the tripod is included but per my order (NoTripod&Pouch) was written on the receipt???
I cancelled my order and made a complaint against Starscope with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for their misrepresentations/fraud!

This marketing for this product is a complete misrepresentation. The magnification is not even close to what they show or claim. I should have read the reviews first. If there are any hackers out there go after their website.

I have no clue where the 10% of…

I have no clue where the 10% of excellent reviews have come from.
This company scams you from beginning to end. The advert on Facebook shows the monocular zooming in on a dragonfly from miles away. In truth it couldn’t zoom in on an elephant at the bottom of my garden.
Then I received an email stating the item was still in my basket which meant I somehow ended up ordering 2.
After weeks when it actually came it went straight in the bin.
Claim back your money through your bank account. That’s the only way you’re going to get a refund.
Meanwhile how are Facebook allowed to run adverts for these scammers sitting in China somewhere rubbing their hands together at all the orders which must be coming in?
Oh and I expect I will get a generic cut and paste response to this review.
Don’t forget. Claim a refund back through your bank account.

Absolute load of rubbish. Advert is a total lie.

Only way phone adaptor would work is if you duct taped it to your phone,

£67 for a £10 toy.

Starscope Warning! NO

Before you decide to buy it check YouTube reviews and trust pilot and many more online sites.

I bought one however is not good simply didn’t deliver what it should or has been promised.

Not only! if you decide to return item you have to pay for the post as most successful companies offer for free!

But to get a refund it is a joke! I have to fight for it?

They keep saying money has been refunded but I can’t see anything! I have contacted my bank nothing!!!!

They just making excuses... disgusting and disappointing! BIG NO....

Don't deal with this company

Don't deal with this company, very poor service and less than acceptable customer service, ordered 9th September, order finally delivered 20th, this not a UK company, return process complicated.
Stay away!!!!!

Returned the product 14th October via Royal Mail, tracking shows package delivered, no refund received as of 30th November, customer service is shocking, following my review no attempt made to even resolve the matter.
