The product I purchased is what I was looking, still getting used to the cooker. Poor delivery service, which I have already commented on other review, which has been printed

Broken fridge freezer after 2.5 years!
After only 2.5 years, our statesman 60:40 fridge/freezer broke due to a gas leak. Fridge now needs to be regassed and a new compressor, which will likely happen again in the future.
Very sad and frustrating, £100 worth of food completely wasted and money down the drain after such a short space of time.
Will buy a more reputable brand in future.

Statesman's letter regarding a Gas Hob
Got a Statesman's letter regarding a gas hob, it says that 'the gas hob may be fitted with a connector that is at risk of failing in certain circumstances whether the hob is in use or not. This could lead to a gas leak or fire.. It is important that you contact us straight away to arrange a free inspection and repair by a Gas Safe registered engineer.'
All sound great, we called but no answered or in forever queue or answered but got hung up straight away, tried to go to the website that they suggest in the letter, but the site was blocked by our pc and indicated that the site is not safe.
Is this a scam or ..? if anyone one knows please..

Health & Safety of Hob
We purchased a Statesman Hob in 2023. Then received a letter in August 2023. Due to a safety issue, a part needed to be replaced. It took until now for the problem to be rectified. Bearing in mind this was an urgent safety issue.
We also purchased an oven but have yet to use it. Concerned reading the other reviews on the oven. So will have to wait and see when we use it, In a weeks time
Will never purchase an item from Statesman again, nor would we recommend to family and friends.

statesman FD12PWE crockery and cutlery left soaking wet
Purchased statesman FD12PWE 3 months ago to replace previous different brand, I would never have another one. It doesn’t matter which program I use the dishes and cutlery are all soaking wet when they come out. They never feel hot at the end of a wash as previous dishwasher did, it’s as temperature has not been hot enough inside to dry the dishes. The soaking cutlery is particularly annoying as the cutlery box when lifted out soaks the kitchen unit too! Not impressed!

Very disappointed with my Statesman washing machine.
I bought a Statesman FWM0714 washing machine in May 2020 from a local retailer. I have been very satisfied with it until it died on me two weeks ago. The problem was the heating element which was completely gunked up with limescale and fluff (which had stuck to the limescale). I cannot understand why this has happened as I use a water softner tablet in every wash. The fluff filter is not doing its job, letting fluff onto the heating element. I am 81, live alone and only use the machine twice a week at most. I have had many machines over the years (Hotpoints) and have never come across this problem before, neither has anyone I know who use a variety of brands. I am very disappointed that the heating element has only lasted for 3 years and I have been landed with a bill for £141.19.

Oven temperature dial not calibrated
We bought a Statesman cooker a few days ago. Everything seems to be working fine. Only complaint is the oven temperature markings. They go up in 50's. Most baking is done at 180° so setting the right temperature for a cake is guesswork. What would it have taken to calibrate the dial like most other ovens are? If I had noticed this in the shop I wouldn't have bought it.

Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service, my job broke after only 10 months and they are refusing me the warranty saying it could be due to my maintenance of the job but not willing to come out and check.
In process of going through the ombudsmen

Statesman Washing Machines cannot clean. Do not buy.
Have a statesman washing machine for over a year, I don't think I have ever had clean clothes out of it, always have black/grey greasy marks on white things (gunky and it kind of scratches off) and white soap marks on dark things, even with extra rinse every single time from first use. I just put up with it but honestly, not fit for purpose.

Bought a statesman double oven in…
Bought a statesman double oven in April. I was rather worried after I read the reviews bit it was too late as it was bought and installed . But I have to say I'm not overly disappointed, it works fine, and does the job . Christmas day I used to bottom oven for the 2nd or 3rd time only as I always use the top oven , living alone I don't cook large amounts . My sister arrived so a delicious roast was in the bottom oven . I saw puddles of water on the floor under the oven and laid a towel down to absorb . I was worried about slipping so I emailed statesman about my concerns . Within 5 days I received an email and a phone call from them and an engineer was asked to visit me on 3rd January. Simon was so nice , explained I didn't have a cooling fan , hence the puddles , he said he would order a new seal for me , but didn't think it would stop the puddles . Today 5th January I received a phone call from Nia who explained the warranty was out for a new seal and I would have to pay for the actual seal and they would fit it . I am unable to pay for this unfortunately. Simon did say he didn't think anything was wrong with the seal already fitted previously . So I think fitting a new seal at my own cost wouldn't change the situation. I wonder how families get on using the fan oven , do they suffer puddles of water daily cooking for numbers .?
I have asked Nia to keep me informed of the above issue and also report back to Statesman the puddle issue. I wanted to add a review because of the customer service from Statesman who really did act very fast and professionally even though sadly the issue hasn't been rectified . I guess next time I do a delicious roast I will have to lay a towel at on the floor below the oven . Thankyou Nia and Simon for your excellent support

Update 20th January 2023
I would like to add that I do think the puddle issue possibly is a fault overlooked by Statesman that needs to be rectified . I used the bottom fan oven to cook a fish pie yesterday and yes once again the puddles were back , a towel had to be put down on the floor pushed up against the oven to absorb the water because it could have been a disaster waiting to happen on the wet floor . The oven wasn't full , just a dish with the pie in . If anyone from Statesman does read this I would really like an explanation of the problem because I don't feel it should be overlooked .

UPDATE 27th January 2023
I have just received a phone call from Nia from Statesman and am so impressed with her customer service and care , she was concerned for me when reading my previous update about the puddles she and their directors are sending me a new cooker and they are going to investigate the problem . Nia said she will get everything arranged and all I have to do is wait for a phone call .
I think you have to agree this is excellent customer service and can't be faulted . Thankyou Nia for your thoughtfulness and excellent customer care. I appreciate it very much

We bought a statesman electric cooker…
We bought a statesman electric cooker July 2020 and a week before Christmas 2020 the heater element failed and after a lot of calls, somebody arrived Christmas Eve to fix it! It then went again December 2021, my husband ended up buying and fitting the piece himself and yet again today 16th December 2022 it’s failed again! We have now got to run around trying to find the part again!
I will definitely think twice about buying another Statesman product… 3 heating elements in 2.5 years!!
………………..……
Further to my review, the company have contacted us and provided a solution, much appreciated for swift response and great customer service

Statesman Appliances - Oven
I would not recommend Statesman Appliances as a reliable product/service, my original oven failed within a few weeks of purchase.
Several weeks later they agreed to send out a component they could then not source, eventually they agreed to replace the oven.
Much to my disappointment this oven also had no working igniter on arrival, whilst having attended Midland Chandlers where I originally purchased this product from they appeared to be in disbelief of my experience.
Having gone to demonstrate one of their display ovens this also had a failed igniter much to their embarrassment, I was then supplied with another product in working order.
Eight months later this ovens igniter also failed, after further delays of several weeks and discussions between Midland Chandlers and Statesman they eventually replaced the faulty component.
I did advise Statesman I have little hope this component will last based on my previous experiences, I did ask if this product should be recalled where I was affectively advised not.
Following a closure call today the call handler was advised of my experiences where an apology was given, I was then advised "oh as your product is now a year old it is now out of warranty".
I feel this is unacceptable where I have little hope it will last, based on this I will not be doing business with Statesman in the foreseeable future.
I have shared this experience for others to make an informed decision before purchasing a Statesman product, this firm in my view is awful where I would not recommend their products or customer care.

Charge you for a wrong item and do not refund you!!!!
I bought by phone a milk tray to my fridge and it was sent a flat tray which after instructions I sent back in order to get the refund.
Now, almost 2 months phoning, sending and receiving emails and I have not received the refund. Sent now all these information to my credit card company which I hope can help me with that. This company or is disorganised or dishonest. I will avoid buying anything related with them in the future, especially by phone. Just added more worries in my life. I fully regret the moment I got in touch with them.

Appalling product, appalling company
Appalling product, appalling company. In the early Covid emergency phase I bought 2 freezers; a Beko and, unfortunately, a Statesman. As it was high demand in the crisis, Statesman and their retailer graciously bumped the price up by around 35% - taking it to the same level as the admittedly far superior Beko model (its price was unchanged). The contrast is extraordinary.
The Beko is far more comfortable to use, much better storage, far more stylish, quieter and far better energy efficiency - both cost £400.
The Statesman TF170LW is a very basic, ugly and dated freezer with minimal features and ices up regularly.
Additionally, the door handle broke in the first 2 days - it would have been replaced (free) but i didn't need it so didn't ask for one until the warranty was now due to expire - Statesman's pompous, curt staff said I should have read the small print and reported it within 6 months... but they might, might, be able to give me a discount on the price... £45.00 for a cheap plastic handle! This same problem has been raised by other reviews too - but absolutely no concern for their product quality, customer service or their brand image.
The Beko has never had a single problem - it's like a 21st century product versus a 1970s relic, as is their customer service.
I'll ensure that as many friends, neighbours etc as poss avoid this appalling brand.
