Who is gaining access to your private information. No privacy policy or terms of use on the StaySavr website. No actual company name or contact information either. The company isn’t even listed on LinkedIn. You have no idea what personal, confidential data is being collected by this plugin every time you use your browser for anything and everything. Browser plugins are notorious for data privacy and security issues. Avoid at all costs until there is evidence this company is legit and has verified information security and data privacy practices.

This company is a fraud and a scam they have a whole office upstairs in the Excalibur hotel they approach me when I was checking in on April 14 2021 asking do I make over 50k a year I reported them to the better business nothing happened mad as ever

Talk About Terrible Business...
This company called and told me I had free vouchers for a vacation because last year I signed up at the mall. That all I needed to do was give them an hour and fifteen minutes of my time. I typically do things like this at the mall so I admit I believed it, was thrilled, and excited to see what this was about. My boyfriend and I drive all the way from Newport News to VA Beach on a Friday. Not to mention left work a bit early because Friday traffic can take you about an hour if not more to get there. We walk in they ask us for our ID and credit card. Which was weird.. nobody told me I needed to bring one. So we fill out this form and then this guy comes out in front of everyone and says your credit score isn’t high enough so unfortunately you can’t come in, RUDEE!! First off Idk what method they used and they definitely didn’t mention running someone’s background. Which that is poor business. Be careful when doing this you guys! I wouldn’t trust this place being that they are not honest with you up front. Personal opinion this was a blessing in disguise from getting bamboozled.

I would give this company a zero if I could! I was bombarded by several of their employees on vacation To go to this 3 hour extravaganza !!! We thought we could swing the money bc we are average joe working class people !!!! Came back from vacation to find out I lost my job!!! Told the people that I could no longer afford this vacation package ... only to be told that I couldn’t have my $1000 I put down back, when initially I was told I had 30 days to decide!!!!! Got an email stating I would not be getting my money back whatsoever!!!! It hasn’t even been 5 days since we have been back !!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I have had customer service argue with me; a line of credit opened up without me or my husbands knowledge. They have refused to answer of call me back. I even had Equiant Financial Services call and all they go was a voicemail. I would recommend these sneaky people to my dog. Don’t waste your money or your time. They will literally rob you blind.

As an owner I have been looking for something like this since HomeAway was taken over by Expedia.
A great advertising platform for owners was turned into a corpoRATe greed machine squeezing every last penny out of guests and owners alike.
I'm going to do my best to spread the word and hope StarSavr continues to help guests and owners communicate safely as we had been doing for years with no problems and not requring a service fee which when you read the small print guarantees you absolutely nothing and protects you not at all.

Wonderful app to help travelers skip the outrageous service fees charged by Homeaway/VRBO. Just wish more people knew about it!

Great altrenatives to HomeAway and tripadvisor who take huge commission from both sides !!

Excellent idea. Will take a while to catch on and may need vigorous marketing/spreading the word before it has a real impact. Great way to save money and stop multi national corporate entities taking over the world!!!

This is a superb browser extension for anyone looking to save money on booking on one of the HomeAway sites (Owners Direct, VBRO, FeWo-direkt etc). All you do us download the extension (mine is on chrome). Once downloaded, when you view properties, the owners phone number and sometimes email address will be displayed. This then allows you to contact the owner directly, outside of HomeAway and so avoid the 15% "Service Fee" that they charge.

The StaySavr browser extension for owners and renters is a wonderful idea.

After 24 hours it stopped working for me, but I have since heard from STAYSAVR their safety features have "blocked" me and they will unblock me asap.

Like most owners I find the additional hoops we have to jump through to use the major listing sites a real pest. ( OwnersDirect was a superb help to owners just a few years ago, but since being gobbled up by corporate entity HomeAway / EXPEDIA they have become very restricting and not at all useful)

Payment Choices are reduced and our business model is now based on a money generating corporate model - generating cash for corporate EXPEDIA. These middlemen websites are now charging renters a fee in addition to charging the owner to list their properties. - not at all what we owners want.

STAYSAVR is a great idea - bringing renters and owners together so they can deal direct with each other- more power to them!

Home Away and VRBO was purchased by Expedia and is trying to "stomp out " the small business person and DRAIN your pocketbook as a traveler ! If you do not want to pay them hundereds of dollars MORE for your Vacation, you really need to download this app. IT WORKS ! I am so discusted with BIG BUSINESS stealing money from the Public ! I cannot understand how legally they can do this but now we at least have a chance with this simple app ! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD !

Fabulous new 'app' to find owner of a house and not pay ridiculous 'service fee' on VRBO/Homeaway for nothing! Try it!

This is an easy to install app that will provide you with the direct contact information for owners of vacation rental properties on VRBO, thus putting the "owner" back in Vacation Rental By Owner. This lets you find out who you are actually doing business with and you can contact them directly if you choose to. You are then free to request to book direct or not. Thanks StaySavr!

Thank you for creating this app. Since HA/Ownersdirect implemented the traveler/ Service fee, not only have our booking requests gone down to next to nothing, but we could no longer communicate with potential guests to present our property, answer questions and establish a satisfying, trust building relationship on both sides. For over 8 years, our property was always fully booked, often for the the season after the up-coming one.
With this free and user-friendly app, I can once again get in contact with potential guests and spare them the extra fee. I am definitely spreading the word.

This browser extension is simple and straightforward. It shows the phone numbers of the owners on vacation rental sites (which in the past were always displayed) allowing me (the renter) to contact the owner directly like I used to. Recently the owner's contact information was removed from the site so they could charge a "service fee" to the guest and make them pay before contacting the owner. If I wanted to pay fees, I would book through a management company. Come on! It's vacation rental BY OWNER. Duh!

As an owner who advertises on VRBO, I have been constantly frustrated by the ever-increasing cost to advertise, the heavy-handed management that forces me to take credit cards (costing me 3%), and accept instant bookings (costing me another 12%). Of course I must, reluctantly, pass these costs on to YOU, my guests! It means less money in your pockets and less money in my pockets & it means that I can't raise my rates to keep up with my expenses which means you get a property with less maintenance and upgrades and fewer amenities for the same price.

As a recently retired traveler I am struggling to travel on my new budget. The 12-20% fees charged by Online Travel Agents (OTA) such as VRBO, HomeAway, AirBnB, Expedia, FlipKey, TripAdvisor, etc.. are killer. I don't magically have extra money in my budget just because their greed demands it.

Thank you StaySavr for helping provide an alternative AND for raising awareness of this important issue. We're being held hostage by these big, greedy companies, folks! Let's break free.

How wonderful, travelers can install the plugin and magically the vacation home owner's phone number shows to the right side of the listing. Travelers can avoid the expensive fee that does NOTHING but add to their vacation costs with NO benefit. Spread the word that you can once again book with no fees!! Love it!!

For vacationers who want to book a self-catering home through any of the websites within the HomeAway group (like VRBO or Owners Direct), Staysavr is the best thing that could have happened for them in a long time. HomeAway state in the agreement made between themselves and each property owner "2.2 The Site acts only as a venue for users to interact with each other", so why are HomeAway so keen to prevent that interaction by making sure that the owner's phone number is no longer shown for any property they advertise?

Well you would have to ask HomeAway for the answer to that question, but one thing is for sure and that is vacationers no longer need to be disappointed in this way. If you download the Staysavr app. to your browser and select a vacation property on any of the HomeAway websites, you are likely see an overprint of the property owner's name and his/her telephone number. You will be able to make direct contact should you wish.
