Great quality, both of the material and the cutting. I ordered two just in case, but one would easily last through even heavy usage. The adhesive is a little too light if you want to use it on a curve... See more

Great

Seems to be a great product. I ordered a arrow stencil and handycap stencil. The professional thicker stencils much easier to use and more durable plastic.

Durable stencils, but extras should be included with the high cost.

Overall the stencils worked well and were heavy enough to withstand some light wind. Some of the directions are bit confusing because of miss prints and the wrong labels, such as 6R, 6L, 2R, and 2L being flip flopped. I also had to purchase a chalk line, plumb line, carpenters square and two cans of paint when other stencils supply these materials for a much lower cost. I also had to refer to the internet for a few measurements. The stencils do buckle after painting and in order to make the lines completely solid you have to use previously used stencils to fill in the gaps. It appears that the stencils will hold up to be used many times.

Hi Clare,

I am sorry that you have not yet had a good experience with the gyro cut. It is a great tool but does take some time to get used to. I wish that we could sell this in person as in a few minutes I could show you how to make this product work well,

In the absence of that I want to recommend a number of videos
my favorite is by the inventor of the product
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-nsOqJFGLc

A couple of key points
1. make sure that you are cutting on a good surface like a cutting mat or a cutting board
2 make sure the paper or stencil materials is fixed on the cutting area, it is not normally successful to hold with your hand. We recommend tacky adhesive spray ( our version of that is perfect) or tape all sides of the material.
3. Hold the blade where the finger-shaped at the turn of the blade. make sure that the blade is perpendicular to the cutting surface if it is angled the blade cannot rotate well.
4. practice to get a feel for the pressure required to cut the material. make straight cuts to get a feel for it, more pressure will allow you to cut through thicker material. I can cut through 7 mil mylar but i do have to concentrate to keep the correct force applied,
5 Once you are cutting straight lines you should try doing curves to see how the blade rotates. the Blade will natrually rotate once you get the hang of it and you can even do square corners by stopping and rotating the blade.

While you are free to return the cutter, I do recommend that you try again and will believe like thousands before you as to what an easy and capable tool the gyrocutter is,

Regards

Jim
