Oxbridge formula provides you with the necessary skills to be a good mathematician and will prepare you for the admissions test. The lessons are online which is ideal as you can attend from anywhere in the world. Each lesson is structured so that it goes at a steady pace and there are lots of opportunities to seek help by asking a tutor. Lots group work also takes place with other tutors which really encouraged everyone to participate in solving a difficult problem. The tutors go very in depth in explaining a problem and describe important problem solving strategies. After attending the summer school I feel more confident as a mathematician and well prepared for the admissions test. I would highly recommend this course.

This course is very helpful if your looking to do the STEP or MAT exams. You cover a lot of material and learn the relevant tips and tricks along the way to improve your speed and make problems easier. The explanations are thorough and lots of alternative methods are explored. Even as someone who didn't do much of these style of questions before hand especially the longer ones, I am a lot more confident in approaching problems in general which useful for any maths admissions test.

A useful course to improve your maths skills for university admissions tests. Some of its best qualities were the constant tutor feedback and the range of questions I hadn't seen before.

I felt it was very good at seeing how to solve a very wide range of questions. Having so many tutors on hand too made it nice and easy, as we could readily ask questions in front of the group or privately online.

The tutors were very helpful. We problem-planned questions together then continued working on them in breakout rooms. We could send our solutions to the tutors via a chat software, meaning we'd get instant feedback which was very useful too.

When going through the question together, the thought process was always explained really logically and was easy to follow. This has definitely increased my confidence in tackling STEP questions.

I liked the fact we worked in groups - different people could contribute different ideas. I would definitely recommend the programme.

It is a great programme that takes step questions and teaches, through doing it with you, how to access them, useful techniques to use and reasons why certain methods are more useful/why they are done. It encourages you to think about what each question is teaching you and why the maths behind it works.

This course is very immersive and well taught- the teachers are understanding and supportive and nurture your problem solving abilities as opposed to just showing you how to do things. It is most certainly beneficial for achieving whatever aims you have.

The STEP Mastermind really helped me think about problem-solving in a different way and has highlighted the importance of problem planning instead of just going straight for the question which is something i would usually do for a level type questions. The tutors are really good at helping you through each part of the question as well as explaining different aspects of the question that you may not have picked up on. They are also really good at showing you and providing feedback on how you should lay out your answers. The course has definitely made me confident in approaching STEP questions and i would definitely recommend the programme.

Very strong teaching with a focus on maximising the effectiveness of arguments that you present. It helps polish your mathematical ability and intuition in a way that will maximise your ability to perform in STEP. Definitely worth your while.

An interactive course that covers the main topics of STEP in detail. Goes over background theory on each topic before looking at specific questions. Helpful tutors that know when or when not to give help. The Mastermind Programme is similar. Only criticism would be that more topics could have been covered in the course.

The course is very detailed. You’ll receive great feedback on your working, as well as tips on formatting.

The course is very beneficial as it helps you see the connections between the parts of the questions which is otherwise very difficult. It has helped me to get a further understanding on how to tackle STEP questions. I have also found it very enjoyable as it has helped me to look beyond A level andI feel will be a very good stepping stone for University maths. I have also found the videos they make for each question extremely helpful as they not only enable me to see multiple ways to answer a question but they are also very descriptive so help if I get a little stuck

I would 100% recommend this course to anyone who wishes to apply to university, I did the maths interview course and it was extremely helpful to have a couple of 1 on 1 practice interviews with the tutor, so I was much better prepared for the actual interview.

The course was very helpful and the tutors asked challenging and thought proving questions whiuch helped me understand what to do in an interview situation. i think online sessions were particularly helpful this year as it closely mirrors the way our interviews are going to work. i found the group interview concept to be very helpful because you can understnd how other people are thinking about the questions and learn from them. i would recommend this course

The tutors were very friendly; the tutor who asked the interview questions allowed you to try lots of different ideas before then introducing a different way of looking at things. If someone was really stuck, then they were helped through to reach the answer by the tutor suggesting to look at things in different ways. The tutor who gave feedback afterwards was also very friendly, and they went over the different aspects of your interview in depth to explain what went particularly well, and gave ideas at how to improve on other areas. The questions had a range of difficulty, in that you might have an easier first part of a question, but then have to generalise in the next, which I think was very useful in helping to see what ideas are actually important. There were lots of different aspects brought into the questions, and this made the questions very good to work through as this is what I expect an actual interview to be like. I would recommend this course because it has helped me to feel better about the whole idea of doing an interview by getting me used to the way in which they will work, and the sorts of thought processes I need to carry out, and helped me to practise how to take advice onboard while attempting a question.

I think the tutor did a great job on conducting an interview which is harsh and tough, it gave me an experience on what kind of questions would I get in an actual interview. I am satisfied with the choice of tutor as well, she has a strong background in Economics and she has the ability to conduct in-depth economic discussion.

When I first signed up for the Maths/CompSci Interview course, I'll admit I was slightly sceptical about it, expecting the course to be a rather dull talk about how to appear throughout the interview.
What I was not expecting was the outstanding way in which the session was delivered, allowing us to watch other candidate's interviews, which gave me the unique position of being able to see whether I could have solved the question in a better method than the interviewee.
The tutor present was faultless, ensuring that no-one was left stuck for any length of time, nudging them through the question and allowing us to choose our own methods, where the solution was feasible.
Overall, an incredible resource, and one which any Oxbridge applicant should consider!

I really enjoyed the session, the 1 on 1 feedback was great. I received specific points to improve on, giving me a lot to think about.

l I would recommend this course to anyone applying to study engineering science at Oxbridge. This course allowed students to partake in an individual mock interview and also to observe each other's interviews. I thought this aspect was very useful as it replicated the high-level pressure situation of a real interview and allowed you to get a feel for this. I thought the feedback I received after my interview was extremely helpful as it identified my areas of strength but also areas for improvement. I liked how thorough the feedback was and that I was given scores for different aspects of the interview.

The tutor is amazing at making us get to the answers during the interview. I particularly appreciated that at the end of each interview he would show us different ways of solving the questions &/or add relevant information and tips and make related questions for us to think about later.
