Sure enough, the best rates for buying UAE Dirham and Bahraini Dinar. I used bank transfer to pay and then picked up from Edgware Road. The bank transfer is fee-free and 100% trustworthy. I have done this for home delivery too, in the past and again no issues with honesty and trustworthyness.
This is my go to place to buy foreign currency and is only beaten on $US by the currency exchange "Prince" on Bayswater Road who give the spot rate for USD.

Very quick to take money from my account - since then - NOTHING - no email, no confirmation as to delivery...This is, frankly, amateurish and worrying

I ordered Japanese Yen from Sterling FX and contacted customer service over the phone prior to placing my order. The call was answered quickly, and I received clear instructions on how to proceed. I placed the order on 19/11/2025 at around 11:30 in the morning. I received the Japanese Yen the following day by 11 o'clock through a special delivery by Royal Mail, the postage was free as I ordered over £700.

Regarding the exchange rate, most places were offering one British pound for 194 to 196 Japanese yen, but Sterling FX provided me with a rate of 200.05. Overall, my experience was positive, and I would recommend Sterling FX for travel money.

Additionally, I wanted to mention that if you place your order at least five to six days in advance, you can opt for a bank transfer. I chose the quick transfer option, which resulted in an additional charge of 0.29%.

Very happy with the service the first time I used them, ordered my currencies in the morning I got it next day with very good rate better than the high street.

Excellent service as always have been ordering international money for a while now. Lovely consultants very helpful, my family have me ordering money for them as their rates are good. Postage as promised next day. Keep up with the Excellent service.

Ordered Currency for next day delivery pre-1pm. No delivery arrived and customer services cannot refund money or arrange other options without speaking to a manager. All they can do is send email to manager with no time frame for them getting back or escalating it.

The process they advised me to follow to get a refund does not work and they don’t care less about solving the issue.

Yes they eventually did assist in getting a return days later but only as the process they spent 45 minutes explaining how process should work was proven to be rubbish. They continually blame Royal Mail for delay despite Royal Mail advising me that parcel was late getting to them. They also blame RM for the misinformation I got on how return process works despite it coming from their management team.

A customer should not be involved in talking to Royal Mail to get to bottom of issue and providing evidence. the company that have relationship with Royal Mail should be discussing it internally.

Protracted as management refuse to discuss issue on phone.

Excellent experience

Awful company. Was charged for Royal Mail Special Delivery which is supposed to be delivered before 1pm on weekdays. Called after 1pm as there was no sign of the currency. Agent who answered the call was clueless and rude. Continously repeated that the currency was dispatched on their end but there seems to be no understanding that the currency is not here. Agent then repeated incorrect details several times before asking me to provide them with the tracking number that they should already have. Agent then hung up. Not convinced this currency will arrive. Would never use this company again. Rude, clueless and incompetent.
