Quick delivery but high return cost, sizes run large
I ordered bridal shoes - several ones to try but all the the same size. One pair I had to order a few days later because they had been initially out of stock. Delivery, packaging, payment and overall processing was smooth. But unfortunately, I didn't realize that each delivery (no matter how large or small the box) comes with a return fee of 10€.
Also, and this was probably more disappointing to me vs the return fee, the sizes run really large. I ordered all pairs in a EU37 (my ususal size). Only one of them more or less fit (still too large). And I should have easily gotten a 36. Given all the return costs and the shoes not being comfortable enough for me to walk in, I opted to send them all back and not to try and order smaller sizes in the hopes that they would fit. Overall, I wouldn't order from this store again but rather buy the brand from a different retailer with cheaper returns.
Very Stressful Experience
If I could score Zero stars, I would. As a first time customer, this Company caused me a lot of stress going back and forth over emails for 1 whole week to get what I was rightfully owed under EU Consumer Law. This Company sent me damaged boots, wanted me to keep them with an offer of 20% refund otherwise I was being told I had to pay for shipping / return costs and the 20% refund was still going to be their final offer. I refused and had to state to them my rights under EU Consumer Law (their policy they attempted to use against me for returns / refunds was against the law) and advised them if they wouldn't co-operate to comply with rules under EU Consumer Law, I would be forced to escalate the matter to the CCPC with a formal complaint. As soon as I submitted this, they co-operated pretty quickly. I managed to secure my full refund on the damaged product (€126.00) along with the €16.00 fee I had to incur to ship back the damaged product they carelessly packaged and sent out to me and didn't want to take responsibility for right from the beginning. It was absolutely ridiculous I had to go through such hassle with this Company to get what I was rightfully owed as a consumer and a first time customer, which is also a massive shame on them. I won't be dealing with this Company directly ever again. My advice to anyone looking to order their Steve Madden boots would be to order from Wholesalers, such as Brown Thomas or Arnotts if in Ireland otherwise use any of your local retail stores who carry the Steve Madden brand to avoid such hassle dealing with Steve Madden directly. I ordered the product from Arnotts Ireland online, arrived perfectly undamaged.

Products are great!! Shoes and bag were exactly like expected 👍. Only problem was with delivery with PostNord Finland. Though all information (address, email etc.) were right and visible, PostNord Finland claims that they don’t see any information. Needed phonecalls and several emails to get the packages finally home.

The picture of the shoes looked very different than how they were delivered. In real life they were very shiny. So I returned them but than I needed to pay 7 euros for returning costs. If it was clear on the picture they were that shiny I wouldn’t have bought them.

Not wat I expected
I thought the shoes were very nice. However, they were too big (I ordered my usual size). In addition, when they were delivered, I noticed that they didn’t have regular laces but were elastic slip-on shoes instead. I didn’t find that convenient, especially since they were already too big. I hadn’t noticed that from the photos or the description.

"I ordered a pair of Steve Madden boots which, contrary to the website description stating they were **suede leather**, turned out to be textile.
This is a significant difference—receiving synthetic boots at the price point of leather ones is simply unacceptable.
The ensuing customer service interaction has been, to put it mildly, an absolute ordeal:
* **Email 1:** I explained the situation and attached two clear photos: one of the misleading product description on the website, and one of the label inside the boot, which unambiguously states the material for both the lining (inner) and the outer is textile.
* **Reply 1:** *'Could you please attach a photo and provide the order number.'* (Despite both being included, the photo attached, and the order number in the subject line).
* **Email 2:** I politely replied, pointing out that the photos were already attached to the previous email and the order number was in the subject.
* **Reply 2:** *'Could you please attach a photo.'* (An unbelievable repetition, further confirming a breakdown in communication).
* **Email 3:** I responded, re-attaching the photos, restating the order number, and explaining the issue once again.
* **Reply 3:** *'Please note that the upper material for the outside is indeed Suede. The inside material is textile as it appears in the photo.'* (A flat-out denial of the evidence I provided).
* **Email 4:** I pushed back, confirming that this was incorrect. I attached the photo one last time, clearly circling the fact that 'textile' is listed for both the upper and inner material.
* **Reply 4:** *'Thank you for letting us know, we will inform the relevant department. You may return the boots according to procedure X, shipping costs are at your own expense.'* (An acknowledgement of the error but offering no solution beyond a standard return).
* **Email 5:** I wrote back, stating that a mere return, with me covering the shipping, did not resolve the core problem of having been misled and having wasted my time.
* **Reply 5:** *'I would once again like to draw your attention to the return procedure.'* (A final, unhelpful brush-off).

I really like the shoes of Steve Madden but I am suprised about the differences in seize.
Same shoe size 37 is perfect same shoe different colour seize 38 is too tight.

For a pair of shoes that cost £140, I was shocked at the quality of what I received. The shoes were falling apart. Loose stitching, glue remnants all over them, the branding and hardware details literally falling off the shoes. The package came in a black binbag that had been ripped open and taped back up with brown tape, the shoebox itself falling apart. For a brand that charges a premium price, you somewhat expect a premium product and service. If they presented this to you in store, you would be horrified.

I am very disappointed with the quality of a pair of shoes I recently purchased from a Steve Madden store. Unfortunately, they developed a fault quickly.
To resolve the issue, I reached out to Steve Madden's online customer service team, expecting some assistance. However, the response I received was a generic email stating that all returns and exchanges must be handled by the physical store where I bought the shoes.
This has been a frustrating experience. It feels like the online team is simply passing the problem off instead of trying to help. For a brand like Steve Madden, I would expect a better response and more seamless customer support. I now have to go back to the store to try and resolve an issue that should have been handled more efficiently.

I ordered a shoe and it was bigger than described on the website and I had to pay the full refund shipping 13€ on a shoe that was 80€?!! usually I would order the same shoe in a smaller size but being uncertain if it fits I don’t wanna risk again 13€. Can’t recommend ordering there! Go buy at your local shops and support them- I will never order again
