Terrible and a threat to my business
I've had an absolutely terrible experience purchasing an HP computer for my business. Having previously used HP on the continent and been impressed by their excellent customer service, I was shocked by the appalling service from HP UK. The incompetence and complete lack of response regarding a high-value order is astounding. This experience has been so bad that I will never use HP again and will be switching to another provider for my company's needs
Absolutely dreadful post-sales experience
Absolutely dreadful experience trying to get some post-sales Customer Support for days now, via all available options.
Chatbot - AI only, programmed with standard Q&As but unable to provide product set-up support and unable to connect to an agent.
Phone - tried twice... pressed lots of buttons, none offering technical support to help set up my new laptop. Asked to speak with an agent, then after hearing "We are now connecting you with an agent", was cut off.
Called back and selected an option for a call-back from an agent, but received a text with a link to an online help request. Other than an automatic confirmation of my request I heard nothing further until getting an email 4 days later, saying: "You have an open case for your HP OmniBook X 14 inch Laptop AI PC 14-fe0000 (9L6E4AV) with Serial Number 8CG4381291 for which you have not contacted HP customer service yet. In case you still need support with your consumer unit, please go to support.hp.com and select the Contact Us option. Make sure to provide your case ID to the customer service team. If no action is taken within 1 business day, we assume you do not wish to continue with this support request and will automatically close this case. Thank you for your understanding. This is an automatically generated email, please do not reply."
Then found a WhatsApp option on the website. Took over an hour and a half (the agent said they were unable to offer a phone conversation, but quoted the Customer Service number that I'd failed to get help from twice 4 days ago), and in the end, sent me a massive list of technical instructions (half I which I didn't understand) before advising that I go to a local computer shop.
I really don't understand why an organisation the size and reputation of HP make it so hard to speak to a helpful human who can help customers with their products. It's honestly the kind of thing that could have been dealt with in 15-or-so minutes on a phone-call, and customer goes away having had a positive experience and recommending the business to others.
I suppose they've made the sale, got their money, and that's all they're really interested in.

The staff lied repeatedly. Did not return calls. Did not respond to emails. They only reacted to THE LETTER BEFORE COURT ACTION. A disreputable company with incompetent and lying staff.

I just love the HP products, but the customer service is less good. It's terrible that you have to make such an effort to get good support.
Not worth it
i sent a laptop in and they said it would be a battery issue but it turned out to be a liquid spillage and they want 441 pounds for it. I asked for the laptop back unrepaired and they sent it to the wrong delivery address despite me ringing them and telling them to make sure it’s coming to my current address. they also told me that they would change the address and they never did. they just rob you of your money the laptop was only 3 months old.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. PC was delayed twice, assembly never moved from "In Queue" on the order tracker.
On the second delay, I received an email from HP stating I could reply to the email to cancel my order. I did exactly that, although the previous week, I had already initiated cancellation through the website.
Two hours after replying to the email to cancel, I was told they were unable to cancel my order, that my PC would be shipping, and that I would need to call some number to initiate return once I received the PC.
I'm assuming when I call to return, I'll be charged a restocking fee, in addition to the added time and hassle and the fact that HP has had my money now for over a month and all I have is a headache.
Appalling service
Their slogan is "you'll never run out of ink again" well that is debatable every time I've ran out of tricolour ink they have sent me only the black ink after repeatedly staying it's the tricolour I need and as of the 1/1/2025 I still haven't received any colour ink I'm on a three month trial and only received colour once I've had to purchase two cartridges from Amazon to see me through, absolutely appalling service by Hewlett Packard!!

Please stay away. They took your money and don’t care. I spend my last money and I needed to buy a laptop. But because the payment was not paid at once but I choose Klarna option on instalments they didn’t approve my purchase and told me to call Klarna and ask for money back. They just throw me away to deal with no existing issue by Klarna side. They even gave mw reference number for my purchas which is clear proof that they got my purchase but want to force me to pay full amount

This is based upon my personal experience in dealing with HP UK for a number of recent transactions. I have spoken to a few Post-Sale staff, but just wish to take a moment to, in particular, mention Yasmin, Zubair; Michael and David who have been excellent! Thank you so much for the care and understanding through my journey with the recent transactions. I eventually found the laptop (with the right and expected build quality!) that i was happy with, and as a result have had to speak with post sales a few times to arrange return for refund. These particular individuals have been very patient with me, and totally understanding with my situation. I've been a HP customer from my uni days (c.20yrs), and have stayed loyal to them mainly because of my love for their machine designs, and have had little dealings with their customer service department. Other than one individual in post-sales who i found a little rude, the rest have been excellent. We all find the time to leave negative reviews, but it's only fair it's time we acknowledge when the good of the company shine and come through. A big thank you! :)
The worst customer service I have ever experienced
Bought a PC from HP back in March 23, it had two major faults with it in 20 months. The first was an issue with one of the GPU fans which HP evenutally agreed to replace under the warranty. The second was a critical SMART error on the hard drive, meaning the drive has to be replaced. As the PC is 20 months old this second repair now has to be paid for. I spoke to them eight days ago and after being passed around a number of departments I was told that a quote for the repair would be sent to me within 24 hours. Despite a number of emails and phone calls chasing this up, I am still awaiting the quote some 8 days later.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They clearly do not care about their customers.
Edit: I have now received a quote from HP. The quote was for £271.81.
I have now had the repair done with an indepedant retailer for £47.
HP were charging a 476% premium compared to what I paid. Unbelievable!
Dont buy anything från HP store
really warn against buying anything at the HP store.
1. 5 weeks after purchase the computer broke.
2. They took three weeks after I sent the computer back to HP before I was told that there would be a buyback.
3. An additional 5 weeks before getting the money back.
Also rude and didn't want to help one bit.
So never buy anything from hp store. if I could, the grade would have been -5.

Do not buy from this company. The post sales service is appalling! God forbid if you have an issue after receiving your product, as you will get no help. I was lied to on 3 separate occasions when told I would be able to get an exchange and that I would receive an email confirmation. When I tried to raise a complaint I was met with someone who clearly couldn’t care less. I have a transcript of the chat winch is embarrassing for this company but they don’t care. AVOID!!!

HP Instant Ink Cartridges not recognised. Impossible to resolve the issue, no customer service. Now I’ve discontinued my subscription with HP INK I’m left with 4 unused cartridges because once I discontinued I am blocked from using their cartridges that Ive paid for!

Useless logistics policies need to be escalated and reviewed by your product team. I am extremely shocked and outraged. I placed an order for a laptop, but the warehouse made a mistake and sent my order back to the sender (HP Store) instead of delivering it to my home. As a result, I had to file a claim to confirm that I still want to receive my order. Now, I have to wait an additional 14 days to receive it because of this absurd policy.
Instead of quickly correcting their error and sending the order back to me immediately, the company chooses to make customers wait 14 days or longer for a replacement. If I were placing a new order, I would receive it in 2 days. But if I wanted a refund, the process would take a minimum of 14 days—for a laptop that never even left the warehouse! The order was ready and sent back to the sender; they could have simply re-sent the same parcel.
I have experience working for retail and e-commerce stores, and I have never encountered such poor logistics. I am deeply upset. There is no way to escalate this issue or speak to a manager, as customer service prevents that from happening. With this experience, you have lost a customer. I will never buy a laptop from your store again.

I had bought a laptop from HP worth £1300. I have only had this laptop for 1year and 8 months. On the 2rd of November 2024, as I was opening the laptop,the screen started to crack because of the left inside hinge. If you want to buy inventory for any organization ,please don’t use HP, the grade quality is very bad. Worst customer service ever
Just horrible customer service. Literally the worst.
Purchased an expensive laptop to be delivered to my office. Parcelforce claim no one was in twice and left a card. We where in both times and they did not leave a card. Cannot collect from depo with out the card so contacted HP who basically did nothing. Requested a refund. 2 weeks of calls in which 2 advisors hung up on me, and hours of sitting on hold.
Eventually refund was processed.
Next day the laptop is delivered to my billing address (my house). I did not ask for this. I contacted HP immediately. No response.
Now they are emailing me asking me to cooperate with them in getting the laptop back. Happy to do so but the email address they are sending emails from is not monitored so my reply are not being read. No contact details for the department emailing me on the email. Have forwarded every reply to their sales team asking for someone to come back to me. This hasn't happened. Daily emails from them from a mailbox I cannot reply to.
Their laptops are good but do yourself a favour and buy them from a third party site. I have lost hours of my life dealing with them and the issue still isn't resolved.
