Eddi (formerly Storypod)Terrible Customer Service
Eddi (formerly Storypod) has carried forward the former's poor customer service. I have bought two Storypods for my grandchildren. They have numerous tokens, crafties and recordables. They absolutely love them. I especially like the recordables where you can "read" a book to them and they can follow along in the actual book. The problem is when a Storypod goes down, all of those recorded tokens, etc will not work on anything else. That is a LOT of money wasted!
The first Storypod I bought had a failed power port and wouldn't charge anymore. It was just under the warranty period and they replaced it AFTER we jumped through a bunch of hoops for troubleshooting and multiple emails. They have a real issue with going radio silent and will stop responding to the emails. By the way, email is the only method of contacting them, so that's awesome. This time the Storypod will turn on but cannot connect to ANYTHING. I emailed customer support for the first time on this issue May 13th. They responded asking for more information including pictures and videos of the problem. I sent videos in the first email on May 13th. There has been no communication from them since May 13th and we are on radio silence again. I have sent follow up emails asking if they received all of the documentation and videos and have heard nothing. We are on now on day 13.
My advice with the issues we've seen, buy a different brand!
