I ordered a made to measure piece of…
I ordered a made to measure piece of glass for my woodburner stove and it was cut too big. I messaged back and tried to send photos, which is pretty difficult lining up my existing broken with a new piece
Anyhow. It doesn’t fit and is probably between 1 - 2 mm too big. Which, very annoyingly made it not fit. I reckon even 1mm off and it’d be fine
I have since sourced a glass door pre-cut rather than made to measure from another supplier and, perfect; whoop
Stoves just didn’t believe me and wanted me to post back the glass pane and said if within 1mm of difference, they’d not send a replacement.
What exactly is the point of made to measure if the supplier doesn’t accept responsibility for not cutting it perfectly to size. Isn’t that what the service is?
