His purpose was simply to make great tasting beers for the local community whilst being the change he wanted to see in the business world. Been here a number of times & in the past always been pleased, but not today. 4 of 6 of us ordered what was listed as "Beef stew with dumplings", the second most expensive item of food on the menu. It was not what I expect for a stew. No liquid just a pile of almost dry ingredients. No dumplings but a dry, crumbling doughy substance. Way below their usual standard. Wish I'd ordered the burger as the other friends did - that was excellent.

Probably the Royal Mail’s fault but…
I bought the tickets a week ago and they still haven’t arrived - the gig is tonight so I’ll have to rely on my email record to prove purchase- hope you let us in ! :-)

Hope you're well and thank you for leaving us this review.
We will never dispatch physical tickets ourselves so any tickets will all be virtual as they have been for the past few years at the Brewery. We've recently just moved over our events system to a new one which doesn't dispatch E-tickets which is the reason there's been some confusion for our customers. We're currently in discussions with the events app team to discuss these issues and come to a conclusion that is clear and beneficial to everyone.
In the meantime, we are accepting order confirmation emails as the tickets as well as having a door list we have added a clause to our order confirmation that tells customers the email they received is their proof of purchase and to use that as their tickets on the door. We're sorry if you purchased tickets before we made the tweaks to the confirmation email. I know our team is all clued up on the ticket confusion and our staff will accept the confirmation email as proof of purchase for entry to the event.
Other than that, we hope you enjoyed your night and enjoyed the music!

Love the beer
Always love the beer and the ambience is great. Just one thing...Why when there's a gig is the music so loud? On Sunday our group were barely able to interact and left early cos it was unpleasantly loud.

I think the music you caught was on the last day of our Malty Story Free Party weekend where we had tried to get word out that it was a music event and the volumes would be up. But don't worry, you aren't the only one that felt the volume was to loud and we are looking into how to make the Taproom more sound friendly as well as ensure our other events are on a slightly lower volume level.
Apart from that we hope you enjoyed the afternoon despite the noise and hope that you'll stop in on a quieter day to enjoy another pint!

We're sorry to hear about the delivery issues with your order. Unfortunately, on rare occasions, we can experience delivery issues and try to ship out replacement orders as quickly as possible while following our replacement policies.
As our team had already explained, by the time you had contacted us on Friday afternoon our courier had already been and gone to collect the last orders going out for the week. As it was a Friday afternoon we explained our office team as well as the DHL team don't work over the weekend, so most likely we would get this resolved at the start of the next week. There was no way we could dispatch the order any sooner than Monday, which is when your order was re-dispatched to you.
Our 'How did we do' email you received is automated from the initial date of purchase, however we understand that it might not have been the best time to receive that email, our apologies. We didn't mean to rub salt in the wound!
We hope you have now received the replacement shipment for your order and enjoy the beer and look forward to serving you again soon.
