They are absolute scammers. Avoid and book through Gov.uk
When booking my test I accidentally filled out my date of birth wrong and didn't even realise, they called me the next day to get it sorted and book me a new date on the phone. I didn't get the date I originally asked for but I appreciate how quick they were at trying to sort it. The study materials helped me pass my test as well.
Even 1 star is too much for these scum. Took my 17yr old son for his driving theory test only when we arrived there was no booking. Asked for a refund no reply. Avoid.
Total scam take money no contact from them only to get your details and driving licence details don’t book you in for tests beware lost £45
Scam. Profiting off people who don’t know better.
They don’t book your test - you will arrive and find nothing in your name. They overcharge. Follow directions on gov website for the correct process.
Please do not use these people they charge £45 when the DVLA charges £23 and when you arrive at your test Center you're not registered or on their list. I showed the test guys my emails and certificate from Study Theory that looks soooo official but means absolutely nothing. It’s a total scam. Tried getting in contact with them via their email but obviously no replies! No refunds, no theory test. Feel sorry for any teens/ students that are booking through these guys for their driving tests. Please stay well away. My solicitors have been informed and are on the case to get them shut down.
Scammers, they charge double then their site is always down when trying to request a refund; when you do get through reject your request saying it's already booked
Overall, quite unpleasant experience. T&C is made to scam you.
Yet to do my test that has been delayed from saturday morning to tuesday evening, 3 days later. I haven't been notified it on the website that I used to practice on.
I received the DVSA email soon after but never opened it as I was sure I booked the right date. The order details page didn't change the date or notify me about it. Come the day of test, I open DVSA email to screenshot the QR code and it says its not tomorrow, but 3 days later, on a weekday during my work
With this poorly handled situation, I wonder if my details got sold to other scammers (sigh)
This company booked me into a Ballymena centre for a test when I wanted Stirling! They then refused to change it and pocketed the money and refused to refund the money. My advice would be avoid this company as they really ripped me off.
BEWARE - this is a scam. Banks are aware and should return your money.
Book your tests through the DVLA website and avoid dealing with these lowlife.
Appalling scammers.
Booked for 15th March - got a receipt for that date, arrived and got turned away. Not on the system they said.
Turns out they booked for May 26th - didn’t tell us about it. We wasted a day, massive inconvenience, travel expenses etc. Can’t contact them except through web chat- most of the time they don’t respond to that. Refused a refund. Total scammers. Don’t use them.
I have had a disgusting experience with study theory. I have never been so disappointed in a company before in my life. I went to book my theory test which should cost £23 pound. I was sent to study theory where they told me it would cost £45 pound! I am young, and this is a lot of money to me. I paid thinking it was £23 (found out later on it was not) and thankfully a friend told me that I had paid too much. I researched and found this to be true. I tried to use their ‘help’ site. Which I could barely call ‘help’ it was appalling!!! Normally a ‘help’ site would reply within minutes. I still have not received a reply, and it’s been around a week! Embarrassed for them. So I contacted them through email and they got back to me after 3-4 days. I explained my situation to them and they gave me a short answer. No we will not be refunding you. I told them I was not aware I was spending so much money with them for stupid reasons and still they said no. After around 8 emails back and forth over a few days of them telling me no, I contacted my bank. Thankfully they raised this as a scam and I got my money back. My bank new this was a scam!!!!! I received my money back thanks to my bank only. Study theory is a massive scam and I do not recommend it to anyone. Don’t let yourself be ripped off! If you want to keep your money stay well aware of this site. Please never ever use it! If I could give this 0 stars I would.
My son Booked a test - turned up at centre and couldn’t take the test as there was no reference number. Wish we had read the other reviews and wouldn’t have wasted his time and money. Total scam it would seem
Took the money, £45, then refunded £23, received confirmation of test booking, turned up at the test centre only to find there was no booking made, so they kept £22 for absolutely nothing, chat function on website is just a BOT and there's no phone number!
Scammers took my money and won’t refund it at all
AVOID!!!!!!!Booked a test for my son on this website, only to turn up and be told it was a con!!!!!! waste of a days pay and travel expenses fuming !! don't deserve any stars
Please do not trust these people there fraudulent I booked a test 3 weeks ago only to learn I paid over double the actually price also the booking was meant to be on the 23rd Feb on ringing dvsa the booking was fake in there terms and conditions they do not refund your money so if for instance like me your stupid enough to book thru them u have just thrown your money away u may aswell give it to me or charity.i admit I was stupid your paying £45 when if u book on direct gov.com cost you less then half the price
