Be wary

Updated review: Its been nearly a week since i posted my review ,so ive downgraded it to 1 star because theres no option to leave zero! Im still waiting for my refund nearly three weeks after returning my order!! Theres only so many times Suitable can blame customs! The customer service is shocking, no updates, completely kept in the dark!!

Be wary! If your purchase is too small/big, or you've changed your mind, the return fee is very expensive. It also takes an age to get refunded! I've been waiting for a while but when you enquire about it they blame customs! I think for the price they sell at , they could offer cheaper or even free returns.
That said, I did like the coat but it was way smaller than similar I own and the size up wasn't available! Shame.

Quick delivery

Quick delivery. I bought a size up as it was advertised as slim fit and it was a good fit. Also very pleased that trousers were included (which was not made clear in the details when I ordered) and although long in the leg and had to be taken up were a moderately good fit in the waist

Suitableshop.co.uk is not suitable for the UK - beware.

Do not buy from this company if you live in the UK. Whilst their website is .co.uk, it is a CON because goods are delivered from the Netherlands and have to be returned there at a ridiculous cost to the purchaser. I bought a shirt which arrived very quickly but was too small. It cost me over £20 to return and the customs forms were crazy.
Never again.

Do not order for delivery in UK

I ordered an article of clothing from the .co.uk website. There was no indication that the item would be arriving from netherlands until after I placed the order. The clothing did not fit and I was left having to pay an extra 12 pounds to return it. Then the following morning I received an email demanding an extra €15 to pay duties, if not paid within 7 days the parcel would be returning to dispatch. So all in all I have had to pay €40 to try on some clothes and send them back. We will see what happens with the refund as I imagine the original postage charge will not be refunded. The response to this complaint is an absolute joke. This company is a COMPLETE SCAM. Transparency? What an absolute joke.

1 out of 2 not delivered

On 21-02-2024 I ordered two ties, one Bordeaux ( 32961 ) and one brown ( 32964 ).

On 24th of februari 10:48 it was supposedly delivered to my address but it wasn’t delivered, I didn’t receive it nor my neighbors.

After many times contacting the customer services , they started an investigation.

On the 2nd of march at 12:03 I received one tie ( Bordeaux 32961 ) but not the brown tie ( 32964 ) !

Again I contacted the customer service and they said it was delivered to my address even though I said to them
before that I didn’t receive it!

The Bordeaux tie that I received is not of high quality, the keeper loop and the label tear off the first time I put it on !

I’m really disappointed with the services,
I advise not to buy from this company

Avoid when shopping from the UK

Wish I had seen the previous review for the UK website.

It all seems like you are buying from a UK business/UK subsidiary. Only after your purchase you learn from the tracking information of the courier that your items are being shipped from the Netherlands. If you want to return something you also have to send it back there..

They recommend their own courier as you have to include a "commercial invoice" with the parcel for custom. I couldn't find any information on what this should look like and their support also wouldn't tell me what it is, just pointed out that their courier will provide you with one.

Their courier charges double what UPS directly charges just to give you an UPS label and a template for this commercial invoice. All it is are a crude table with the addresses of sender & recepient, reason for export - Return of goods, tracking number, order number and then a list of the items including a HS code (google to find a list on wcoomd.org .. trustpilot doesn't allow links), the value of each item, total value of the parcel, date and signature.

Of course you have to fill all of that out yourself.

Avoid this shop and if you got unlucky enough to order from them then avoid their courier and save some money by buying a label from UPS directly and just creating this commercial invoice yourself. You need to include 3 copies of it.

Not what they seem & Not in the UK, Beware.

Firstly this company have a .co.uk website suggesting they are based in the UK, they are not, they are based in the Netherlands. When purchasing clothing, sight unseen, any returns should be free, if you use Suitable's recommended carrier, Returnista, it will cost you 26 euros to return a pair of £99 jeans. Plus you have to ensure that you include 3 copies of something called a 'commercial invoice'. I assumed this was the invoice that comes with the goods so i included that. Amazingly without even opening the package Suitable determined that the 3 copies were not included and returned it. So i had returned it to Holland and it had been returned to me all within 36 hours. I took the matter up with Suitable whose customer service people are very good, considering i corresponded with at least 5 of them, unless you get someone called Luuk who is clearly employed as a blocker. The other 4 people i dealt with were helpful and tried to get Returnista to give me a free return label, then Luuk stepped in and that was the end of that. It was going to cost me another 26 euros. There appears to be a tie up between Returnista and Suitable. This returns process and cost is clearly designed to make it as difficult and expensive as possible to return anything. Interestingly if you click on their review email you get 1 - 10 as a score, only if you click 8 or above do you get through to Trustpilot
My advice, don't touch them with a barge pole.
Further to the response from Suitable i would add the following: 1. Nowhere in the return info does it mention the cost of returns, 26 euros is absurd. 2. I have since found out that sending the parcel to the Netherlands via Royal Mail fully insured and tracked, is approx £15.00. 3. One should not have to read there returns section prior to purchasing, had i done so and seen the process required, i would never have bought the jeans. 4. There should never be a return cost on clothes, especially one of over £20, when you cannot try something on. 5. I do not believe that Suitable carry any stock, they buy in as and when ordered. 6. A .co.uk website would lead anyone in the UK to assume that any postage charges would be minimal. This has clearly been done to mislead the public. 7. It is my opinion that there is a definite tie up between Suitable and Returnista. In short their reply does nothing to change my opinion of this company.

Returnista provides the information about the commercial invoice in the email that's sent after the customer purchases the label.
The parcel was returned to you by customs, it has never arrived at our warehouse. This should be visible in the tracking information by the carrier.

UK users AVOID

UK users AVOID!
Returns have to go to the UK and so cost £20+, despite the .co.uk web address and the fact their website fails to flag this in the returns section.

Customer service were not sympathetic at all.

Wish I'd seen the UK reviews about this on the suitableshop.nl Trustpilot, but I saw the great rating and didn't look any further...
Starting this suitableshop.co.uk in the hope I help someone!

It's also not great for the environment for individual items to be shipped over.

Ineffective but responsive service

despite ordering on 6th of December, the article did not turn up before Christmas. It had a due delivery of 20-22.... despite contacting customer service, who in fairness are very responsive, to point out the article had not been scanned by their postage handler in over a week, they refused to engage until the delivery window expired. So a total waste of money and time... being responsive on service is one thing, being effective is a whole different matter.

Updated - articles arrived as ordered on January 3rd. In fairness to Suitable the issues with delivery were not theirs, but it was very frustrating that they were unwilling to engage their service provider who clearly had issues

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

If you are in the UK do not order from this Company unless you are 100% sure that you won’t need to return anything - their website looks like a UK website with a Co.uk web address but the returns need to be sent to The Netherlands with extortionate costs, I had to pay €26 to return one jumper, absolute joke & very misleading!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN would I use this Company
