My first experience with Summerboard customer service was brutal. The President wrote me a letter explaining his disappointment in the service they provided me. My second and third experiences were worse which tells me this is a company operated by lip service. I now own a $3000 piece of hot garbage. The Summerboard is the Bummerboard. Do not buy this product. It’s a lemon. It’s all Swedish, no finish.

I bought one of these in 2022, they sent me the wrong bundle (worth $300 less), I contacted support asking to refund the difference and they didn’t despite me contacting them for over 1 YEAR multiple times, I have all the screenshots as proof.

Do not deal with this company, their product died within 2 months of using it and I didn’t get what I paid for.

I’ve spent over 2 years dealing with this company and I still haven’t been given a refund for what’s owed.

AVOID.

It was fun for the first month or two. Got the board all the essentials to come with it and yeah I loved riding it. That was until those 2 months were up. The board started splitting, the controller broke, got a new one and had connection issues ever since. Then it just stopped working. The wheels started rotating slower and slower until it just stopped. Thought it was the wheels so I bought new ones… of course that didn’t fix it. Honestly wish I never bought it $2,000 down the drain

I'm giving summerboard 5 stars because my SBX is, hands-down, my favorite pastime. However, it isn't without its flaws, and it isn't for everyone.

First the good: There is no other experience like summerboard. It responds very similarly to a snowboard. The level of control, freedom, fun, and power rivals snowboarding itself. There are many occasions where I'd choose a summerboard over a snowboard. It's convenient- No suiting up. You can stop and step out of the bindings. It's powerful- you can ride it up steep hills. It's stylish and unique- it turns heads, if you're into that. But the thing that really seals the deal is that it's accessible. I can wake up in the morning, spend an hour on the board- with my dog running beside me, and be home in time to grab breakfast. And on a cool day, I'll barely break a sweat. Now that I have one, it's hard to imagine life without it. I'm on it almost every day.

The Bad: The battery. I don't know if they're close to figuring it out, but I had to send my battery back to be "fixed" after only about a month of having it. The process for doing so was fine. It didn't cause more pain than a headache, but it does feed my anxiety over the reliability of this very expensive product. Summerboard is dangerous- goes without saying. Catch a downhill edge on the snow, and you regret it. If you do it on asphalt... you may wind up eating through a straw. No problem, wear a helmet. Lastly, this thing eats wheels for breakfast. The 4 side wheels are pretty much glorified brakes, so if you're like me and live in a hilly region, you'll be rotating them about every session, and buying new wheels once a month. Pro tip: buy cheap Bigfoots on amazon, and recycle the bearings. $60 per set from summerboard.com isn't endearing the customer base.

I might mention: Although extremely rewarding, Summerboard is difficult to learn. I'm a decent snowboarder and it took me many hours to get comfortable on a summerboard. But, if you're willing to put in the time (and the bails), it is VERY much worth it. Trust me.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend a summerboard to anyone willing to put in the time and effort. It truly is a fantastic product and I hope to be able to keep riding mine for many years to come. There's nothing else like it.

I have been longing to buy this board for years and I finally pulled the trigger. I was so happy when I received it. Then, ONE WEEK LATER, it went on sale for $200 less and came with a FREE $300 battery. I wanted to be reasonable so I didn't try to get another $200 off, I just requested that they send me a back-up battery as a show of good faith. DENIED 3 TIMES.

Update: I got a hold of the CEO Aaron Aders, awesome guy. He deserves to be a billionaire, but he needs to replace his customer service team, they’re doing a disservice to the quality of the company and their products. Loving the board, everyone should have one!

Amazing board! I live in Alabama and haven’t had the time to be able to get on the slopes with my little kids. Originally from the mountains and have missed shredding desperately, got this board and can’t stop riding it. There is a little bit of a learning curve to it, but not something that can’t be learned easily! I have been desperate for the shred and can now get my fix daily. Thank you for such a great product!

I am a very new snowboarder, and being in Arizona we rarely get snow. I needed a way to practice the mechanics of snowboarding in the off season. Already I have used the board 4-5 time this month and feel I’m still progressing after each session. Despite only having ridden it a handful of times, I feel I’ve already gotten my money’s worth rather than trying to learn solely during my annual snowboarding trip with my buddy. As far as service was concerned I had a delay in my order because they were back ordered on a particular part of the SBX pro pack, and for the delay they threw in some modest free stuff.

This has been such a cool project!! I was a littler nervous going into this, I only have a little snowboarding experience, but with the help of a couple youtube videos i was able to pick it up super quickly! I would say after 2-3 1 hour sessions i was cruising around parking lots with ease! If you are on the fence, you should totally commit! Even though i am someone who is not super skilled on snowboard or skateboarding, i have had so much fun! Its a great way to blow off steam of a long day at college. I like to cruise along with my friend and his longboard, and the summerboard gets so many compliments!

Bought a Summerboard for our college age son. He is loving it. This is a great company to deal with as the customer service is top notch. The Summerboard was delayed due to parts on back order. The communication was amazing as the company kept us notified on the progress of the board and threw in some free merchandise for our son. As for the product, our son is really enjoying his time learning to ride his Summerboard. He says it is similar to snowboarding, which he loves to do in the winter. If on the fence to buy one, I recommend you buy from Summerboard.com.

The learning curve is steep but once you figure out how to ride it is so fun! I did have a battery go bad on me after only 3 weeks but customer support is very responsive. Their CEO Aaron has also been very responsive and ready to provide coaching and tips. I’m excited to keep progressing, this thing is so cool!

Summerboard is dope. They’ve helped me with any technical issues that has occurred and the Summerboard is so fun to ride.

As a snowskate rider, I was amazed by how quickly I improved my skills within just one week of training. Riding this well-crafted board is an exhilarating experience requiring some practice, but the rewards are worth it.
The price is a problem, especially for those of us in Europe. I had to pay 25% in taxes, and the offered credit option is unavailable in Sweden. May it only be accessible inside the USA?

I received my summerboard in a timely fashion and immediate follow up by offering assistance as needed and training videos!

I've had my Summerboard for almost a month now, and I can say a few things about it so far:

1) Provided that the parts hold up as long as they're supposed to, it is absolutely worth the price. I was hesitant to spend so much on something like this, but I'm so glad I did. It is a snowboard that rides on pavement. Rad AF!

2) I haven't had any issues that I've needed to reach out to customer support for yet, but the Summerboard folks have been touching base to check on how my acclimation to riding is going and just generally seem very eager to help customers have as smooth a time as possible with the product. It's reassuring to feel like the company is behind their product and committed to customer satisfaction.

3) If you're thinking about getting a Summerboard, take the tutorials and guidance seriously. Learning to ride it is tricky but worth it if you approach with patience and humility. It's different enough from both a snowboard and a skateboard that those skills alone will not allow you to instantly ride without issue, but once you find your balance on this thing experience with other boards can start to translate over. Never ride without a helmet, y'all!

If I could give them a 0 star I would!
I purchased a board over a year ago, used it twice and the battery broke. Had a nightmare shipping it back to the US from the UK so they asked me to send to a company that do their repairs called Voltes in the Netherlands. I've spent half a year waiting on an update. Nothing! Now they have said they will send me new battery, motherboard, and a refund for the shipping but they've gone quiet again. Mariel in customer services keeps emailing me saying "thank you for your patience". Patience! I've waited over half a year. What is going on!

I love snowboarding, and the feeling this board gives me is very similar. And the best, I can do it next home. I can do it pretty much everywhere.

I got it just a few weeks ago, but I've been using non stop, every day. Might take some time to get the hang of it, but do not desperate. It'll click soon.

Best money ever invested. Highly recommend to those who, like me, crave for that feeling of drifting.

I really like this product! it's great I can feel like I'm snowboarding when I can't make it to a ski area very convenient for me.

The company was responsive and willing to work with my requests. The board itself is a lot of fun and the training videos are extremely helpful!
