Amazing snowboarding experience

The summerboard is just extremely fun to ride. I’ve had no issues yet and I ride it daily. The support the team gives is great, or at least it was with the Leiftech, luckily I haven’t needed their help with the summerboard yet! Amazing product overall

this thing is AWESOME!

i've had my board since the summer of '21. i ride the crap out of it. anytime i've needed help they've been timely. i had to send my batteries and board back once and they had it back to north carolina in under 3 weeks, everything working perfectly, and they covered the repairs as it was under warranty and paid for shipping both ways. 3 weeks is amazing because it has to travel ground because of the batteries. my experience has been great with summerboard and its the most amazing thing i've ever ridden. i 100% recommend this company.

Summerboard Rocks!

Amazing product and so much fun to ride! I have had my Summerboard for around a year now and it still works great. There have been a few minor issues with it, like you would get with any electric board, but nothing I couldn’t fix. I have spent countless hours on it and it still rides great. It feels so much like snowboarding once you get the hang of it, and is so much fun to ride edges and drift on. Amazing product, highly recommend!🙌🏽

Dedicated company!

These guys are dedicated to an incredible product and experience. I’ve had years of incredible experiences on my Summerboard (and Leiftech before that). I’ve had minor issues and even major ones with things I messed up and they have been responsive and great with every interaction.

Great board , bad company

The product itself is amazing , very enjoyable and close to snowboarding … HOWEVER - that only applies *IF* everything works . I have had the board for around 2-3 years and when everything is functional it’s an amazing product even for the price , however the board hasn’t been rideable for around 1-2 years and their customer service not only is extremely expensive but also very bad . I have sent the board in for repair twice and neither time they actually fixed all of the issues . I recommend the board but I can’t recommend the team behind it

I bought this board 2 years ago

I bought this board 2 years ago. First bad surprise was the shipping costs plus the customs into europe. That made my summerboard cost over 1600 euros. The nost expensive item ive ever purchased.

Because of the covid lock downs, I never got the opportunity to use my board. After 1 year and in between two lockdowns, i tried it. The remote wasn't working. The customers ' service wasn't responding.
I waited in vain and left it aside for another half year. Same issue. The remote wasn't working although the board was charging.

Finally reached out the customers service. They answered pretty quickly this time and asked me to take pictures of the inside of the remote which I opened. The battery was melted and looked poorly wired. The person I wrote to eventually confirmed that the battery was melted (a common issue, it appears) and told me my 6 month warranty being over, I had to purchase a new remote. For 149 dollars without the shipping and the customs fees !! Can you believe it???!!! You buy an item that costs 1600 euros and one piece is still defectuous!!my board has never been used. It is in pristine state but without a remote, I can't even use it.

And this is not to mention the heaviness of the board. Something like 12 kgs or 25 pounds. Impossible to bring it with me on planes. I've tried, unlike what they say: it is forbidden therefore not transportable!!

Truly the worst purchase ever made. A shame !!!!!

BEWARE

BEWARE! Do not purchase from this company!!!!! I purchased a board on the Black Friday sale. We received it and I quickly changed my mind after reading the reviews and realizing that it wasn’t safe for a teen. I sent this company an email saying I didn’t see a return label or a way to return it. They waited multiple days to get back to me and then said I was over the 15 days. I’ve now been arguing with them for a week about a full return since the board is still completely packaged and they said the CEO refused it. I believe a 15 day window with no return label during the holiday season is absolutely insane. This company has 0 customer service.

Terrible company

Terrible company, we ordered a board by mistake (thought we were adding to cart and purchase executed) and canceled as soon as we realized this happened. The board never shipped and we canceled with 24 hours and they charged us 2.4%!! They don't have a phone number and no way to actually get a live human on the phone so would no way purchase anything from this company!!! If something goes wrong with the board.....good luck!!

they have no clue how to run a business

They will run you in circles about not sending you everything you ordered. They'll even ask for you to send stuff back that you paid for, like the extra battery that used to come in the pro pack. super unethical. I hope they go bankrupt and someone worthwhile picks up the patent to this extremely fun product.

Poorly engineered product; HORRIBLE customer service

I ordered an SBX as soon as they were announced. Nearly a year after my credit card was charged it still hadn't shipped. I cancelled and thank god: EVERY person I know that has ordered one has experienced component parts failures, horrible customer service and problems. Stay away from this company.

Since day one we got it

Since day one we got it, it was a problem- We paid $1600 for something that continuously had battery malfunction. You used to be able to post reviews on their facebook website but now you can't anymore. The skateboard supposedly has 2 years warranty but of course not the battery, which never worked. This is an expensive junk- BEWARE OF THEIR FALSE ADVERTISING!

TOTAL BULLS&IT RIP-OFF

DO NOT BUY THIS BOARD. DONT! Terrible customer service and no return policy. Straight out of the box the board sqeaks and whines, and not just for my board my buddy across the river from be bought the same board and he has both motors sqealing and whining dirrectoy from the box. Weve both been snowboarders for the last 17 years and this board is NOT like riding a snowboard. Period. Total waste of 2000 dollars. Do not believe their reviews on their website. Thats all just a buncha bulls&it too. Summerbord can get bend. Ripping off people for thousands of dollars and no return policy whatsoever unless u just dont like the color of the board. I have several other electric boards and ALL of them had a 30 day no questions asked return policy. F%ck you summerboard. Hope u go bankrupt. Ill make sure non of my friends give u a f%cking penny.

Received a defective board

Received a defective board. I emailed the day I got it and did not receive a response for 28 days. In the meantime, I called, Facebook messaged, and tried emailing again. Eventually I posted my experience in the comments of a promotional Facebook video and finally received an email. There is no return option for used boards but mine was unused. The customer service rep said I was past their 15 return policy, I replied that I had reached out immediately. He then said I should have just shipped it back myself. Something that the company does not suggest anywhere on the website. Eventually another rep replied to another one of my emails and said they would have accepted it but the board had been used. I repeatedly explained that I had never used it.

Eventually I went through a chargeback process with bread financing and they ruled in my favor.

I sent kind emails to this company for help and the reps were insulting and arrogant. Something that must be modeled by leadership within the company. Glassdoor has a review implying that the CEO encourages employees to lie to customers which I thought was extreme when I read the reviews but I find that to be completely evident now.
