I have bought several time from Sunglasses Shop and never had issues, until I had to deal with their customer service for a problem with a pair of sunglasses bought from them.

I purchased a pair of Prada Ornate sunglasses which did cost me EUR 298 (the equivalent of £248). The particularity of this model is to be decorated with almost 300 Swarovski crystals. After just a little more than 1 month from my order 2 crystals fell down detaching from the frame, one of them actually from the very front therefore extremely noticeable.

I contacted their customer service asking if they could please provide me with some support, because after paying so much money and just a little more than 1 month I was quite disappointed for the crystals falling down out of nowhere and it may be the case that those sunglasses were faulty.

I did not receive any reply, so after a couple of days I contacted them again, and again no reply at all. It has been 5 days since my email and no answer at all.

I understand sometimes customer service assistants are very busy, but to be honest I would have expected at least an automated email saying that I would get a reply as soon as possible. Nothing at all instead.

I think the good name of a company and their reliability is showed when there are issues, more than when everything goes smoothly. After such a disappointing and frustrating experience I completely changed my positive feeling about Sunglasses Shop, to the point that I would not recommend it to anyone who is looking for reliability and support in case of problems that I am afraid can sometimes occur.

I also wish to specify that I did try to contact the company over the phone several times, even in this case without luck. I always got a registered message saying all representative where busy, so none of the tools offered to receive support actually worked.

Never again.
