I bought an Empulse Wheeldrive and I’m appalled at the poor design. The drive rims are located by small plastic tabs which break off if you lift the wheel by the drive rims, the are no warning labels... See more

Bad design parts take to long to come
My son has a manual wheel chair from sunrise and is so dangerous its a joke any uneven pavement will cause the small front wheels to get caught sideways and tip the wheelchair forward.
On top of that the wheels keep going flat only had the left wheel done a week ago from ajm new tube inside and its flat again.
Stabilising on the back cant be adjusted without tools and stop you going up curbs as they get caught if I could give it 0 stars I would.
Its got to the point now im looking for a different supplier.
If you get offered this company as a option say no to the manual one its not worth it

Poor customer service
The battery charger for my Quickie power assisted wheelchair died. Although the product is in stock at Sunrise, my URGENT replacement request on Monday - Sydney to Melbourne - has been treated with the standard Sunrise lackadaisical approach: if I'm lucky the charger will turn up on Friday. Tracking information not provided. Ever. My offer to pay for express courier service dismissed.
In terms of customer service I would rate this company zero.
Such a bad quality for very expensive powerchair
I got Quickie 300 R last February and I have number of problems with it. Initially they sent it with batteries that fail after only 2 months. I have replaced those, still on warranty. My chair came with lite footrest and already broke 2 times. I am not a heavy user. It seems redicilous to pay for a wheelchair with such a bad quality so much money that can get you a car.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Chairs rear strut broke with the first year. Got replacement part. 6 weeks later part broke again and now they won't replace as the chairs one year warranty has ended.!!!!! Also you can never get hold of anyone absolutely shocking I have a chair which costs thousands which is now unusable!UPDATE:
Replacement parts do not have a warranty!!!! Parts are overly expensive and are rubbish! Sunrise take no accountability or want to help customers. If you buy a second hand chair don't waste your time if it breaks down!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Parts for a Quickee 400
I have a Quickee 400 that developed a problem with the riser sensor in October 2024. AJM Healthcare, who supplied the chair, have been trying to get the spare parts since December 2024.
If Sunrise can not supply spare parts what is the point of acquiring one of their chairs.
As someone dependant on a wheelchair, my quality of life is severely reduced when i can not rely on it.

January 13th 2025 you delivered to me power wheelchair January 13th 2025 I called you an hour after you dropped it off let you know it doesn't work it tips over and throws me out the seat belts fell apert in my hand so now I can't use it at all because I have nothing to hold me back when it tips me over and tries to throw me out
I purchased the Q50R Power chair…
I purchased the Q50R Power chair several months ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. This chair is amazing—it's easy to travel with, folds down like luggage, and is lightweight enough for my 130lb girlfriend to handle with ease. We've taken it to Nashville, San Diego, and we're planning a trip to Vegas soon.
As a speed enthusiast, I think it would be great if you could increase the chair's speed. Additionally, since I'm still quite young, an upgraded version with a coast mode option would be fantastic. For example, a button that allows the chair to coast downhill, similar to a bike, would add some fun and help save battery life.
If you come out with an upgraded version featuring these coasting capabilities, I would definitely buy it.
£10,000 on a chair falling to bits.
I spent £10,000 on a Quickie Q550M. The day I got it a loose trailing cable snapped and it went in the dealers which took 6 weeks to be fixed. After that it has been a constant breakages. Loose wobbling arms, one footplate snapped off, it was fixed and has snapped off again, and then the other one too. So I now have no footplates, which is very uncomfortable. The control unit fell off. The dealer has had it more of the last year than I have doing repairs. The build quality is terrible. I've got a Mini Salsa as a spare which is now going to have to be my main chair again.
I made a complaint to Sunrise Medical but they have just referred me back to the dealer. It is not the fault of the dealer that the build quality of this chair is so poor. Hugely disappointed with Sunrise medical and will spend my money somewhere else. They are not the only wheelchairs out there and they are trading on a name that no longer represents quality.

Great experience with Sunrise Medical at Naidex
I’ve had my first electric wheelchair, a Quickie Q300 M Mini from my local WCS for nearly 3 years, although I’ve never been happy with the power leg raise that I paid extra for thinking it would help with my leg swelling.
Having this wheelchair has been life changing but I’ve never understood why the footplates moved upwards towards my knees when raising the legs, which crushes my legs, especially my knees, causing immense pain. I queried this with WCS as anatomically that doesn’t seem right but they just said manufacturers have never quite got the power leg raise action right and didn’t offer to investigate further. The test wheelchair I tried before settling on the Q300 M Mini had the standard footrests so I just accepted I wouldn’t be able to use this feature as hoped.
I went to Naidex for the first time last month and my first stop was the Sunrise Medical stand. I met a very nice representative and during our conversation I mentioned that this element hadn’t met my expectations despite loving everything else about the wheelchair. He immediately plugged his laptop into my wheelchair only to discover that the footplate extension functionality wasn’t even switched on, hence why my legs got crushed.
In less than 5 minutes it was sorted and I was elated and grateful beyond words! He couldn’t have been more helpful! I feel like I have a new wheelchair all this time after getting it!
Anyway, I wanted to say a big thank you and from my perspective, I had a very positive experience with Sunrise Medical.

Q100 wheelchair
I've recently received a Q100 from my local wheelchair service. I was apprehensive initially as I'd had my previous wheelchair for 12 years and didn't want to replace it. Chris, the rep for Sunrise & the wheelchair therapist were brilliant, they talked me through the new chair and helped adapt it for my needs. So far the chair has been great!!!
On on my third Quickie wheelchair
On on my third Quickie wheelchair
I've had an Argon, Helium and a Nitrum, and they have all been great manual chairs.
Each generation they get lighter and have more useful features. I need each generation to get lighter as I get older I'm not as fit as once was and putting the chair in the boot requires a lighter unit.
With any active user wheelchair the product is only as good as the assessment/prescription. I have been lucky in this regard.
