Our onboarding for our Levkas Ionian Flotilla was excellent. Very well prepp'd yachts, with enthusiastic staff to start the process off. We've used Sunsail for a reason over the last few years for the trust they’ve created. Great lead skippers, great tech support (if needed), great hosts and great harbours and bays on every island.
Flexibility within the flotilla sailing plan, and the free sailing, means you are open to choosing from lots of different ports and routes. I think we’ll be going again…

We sailed the Ionian from Sunsail's Lefkas yacht base. As always, the sign-in process was fast and efficient and the yacht was well-equipped and maintained. The briefing by Costas was excellent and he checked-in later to ensure we had no further questions.
The holiday was excellent; great weather and great harbours underscored by confidence in the yacht's equipment.
The return process was just as good; a slick crew to assist final mooring and a thorough debrief on how the yacht had performed.

Absolutely great experience in Croatia. Alex was an unbelievable teacher enabling us to learn and take significant control whilst feeling very comfortable in high wind conditions. Would 100% recommend for competent crew or day skipper course.

I spent a fabulous week sailing around the Greek Islands with Sunsail aboard a 38 ft yacht.

This was my first time on this type of sailing yacht holiday and we were in a flotilla. There wasn't a lot of sailing because of the relatively light winds but it was still thoroughly enjoyable cruising around the various Islands and visiting different harbours / marinas.

The 4 sunsail crew Phoebe, Matt, Technical Tom and Manoo were extremely helpful and professional throughout the week.

Even if there was a relatively small problem it was never too much for them to fix it or come up with a solution.

The crew were also full of helpful advice etc and would always be available for assistance if need be.

Out of a flotilla of 11 boats there were no real dramas which is what you would hope for.

As a newbie crew member, I attended the daily briefings and felt well informed about the plan for each day and had no concerns about what we were doing and where we were going.

I thoroughly enjoyed my week doing something I'd been considering for some time and want to do it again.

Great week with a great, friendly, helpful Sunsail crew.

Brilliant Lefkas flotilla thanks to Sunsail. Laid back and yet very professional lead crew. Modern and well maintained catamaran. Good value compared to other companies. Highly recommended.

The marina staff are supremely supportive and given that I and my fellow travellers are leisure sailors, chartering once or twice a year, their familiarity with both their charter stock and the local sailing area, along with significant boat-handling prowess, is a priceless resource to those of us who, while we are appropriately qualified, do not have their seasoned practice in all things nautical. We have charted 'bare-boat' from them for the last 15 years or so, have nothing but praise for them and could not imagine going elsewhere. Bravo Sunsail. David Payne

The people at reception were friendly and efficient, and our skipper Morgan was excellent. She provided us with options and was great at getting everyone involved with clear instructions. She was also good at training! I would recommend Sunsail and Morgan any time!

We have just completed our competent crew course in Croatia. The booking and travel was great. Our instructor on board Alex Rigal was amazing. An extremely knowledgeable guy who explained everything fully. We would definitely recommend Sunsail for a sailing course

Just back from an early season bareboat charter out of Dubrovnik. Great boat and perfect weather to explore some beautiful bays and anchorages. Direct flights and transfer super easy and all staff super helpful. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time sailing around the Seychelles for our honeymoon. The Sunsail staff were all extremely friendly and helpful at every step of the way. Could not recommend this team or experience more. The boat was well appointed and when we had a minor issue, Sunsail addressed it immediately.

Fantastic experience with a helpful shorebased staff for any queries before the trip and an amazing team in Croatia who went above and beyond to make our trip brilliant, with personalised itinerary, weather reports and help with any queries at the marina in Dubrovnik. Recently Chartered through Sunsail in the Abacos and the level of service and attention to detail was extremely high. I will definitely use this company again.

Grenada has a strong staff….great marina as well. Everything about sunsail is wonderful, especially base manager Klive.

The service when we arrived at the marina was top notch. No surprises or anything unexpected. Our boat was ready when we arrived with provisions on board.

The walk through of our vessel was very helpful and made us feel comfortable. The Sunsail crew got us out of the marina and at the end of our trip, came out and brought the boat in for us.

Our vessel was in great condition. Everything worked well.

The entire process of booking, provisioning, briefing, etc., was seamless and very professional. The Jeanneau 44 was well prepared. The briefings by both Ash and Willy were excellent and all of the Phuket staff made my crew and I very welcome. The cruising area is amazing and the local people also very welcoming.

We did a bareboat in St Martin for 7 days, incl St Barts and Anguilla . We've done about 10 trips with Sunsail, and their base in St Martin was one of the best organised. Yacht was one of their older ones, but it was very well maintained, no significant issues. Unfortunately the info on their website (and Moorings website) is a bit outdated, they really need to keep this current
Tintamare is an excellent overnight stop but needs to be planned (Sunsail send an email), I believe it needs to be at least 48 hours before which would be a problem if you wanted to stay there the first night (we stayed our last night)
Clearing in and out of St Barts and Anguilla can only be done at the same time if leaving within 24 hours, check the hours they're open
Anguilla cruising permit was 84USD for the 404 Cat for the day. We left at first light, Sandy Island, Prickly Pear, Dog Island (our highlight) and Little Bay. The boat papers showed our boat weighted 17 tons, we know someone who recently paid 204USD for a Cat just over 20 tons, so maybe that is where the price jumps, its very hard to get that info, even from the Anguilla government web site. The Prickly Pears mooring bouys are all missing which is a real pain, anchoring area bottom is mostly flat rock.
We thought Gustavia would be crammed for anchoring, but there was plenty space off Corossol beach
Make sure you understand what the port authority in St Barts are charging you for before paying, we were overcharged and then they refused to refund us the overpayment when I questioned the invoice. They charged us an extra night for anchoring at Gustavia (28EUR per night for a Cat)
Colombier and Fourchue are well worth an overnight stop, a nominal park fee needs to be paid in Gustavia when clearing in.
Overall an excellent trip !

We enjoyed a fantastic 8 night bareboat sail around the BVI on a Sunsail 46 from the Sunsail/Moorings marina at Tortola. Having been used to the attention to detail of Sunsail Europe, this was sadly lacking at Tortola. There was no welcoming contact from the base in the weeks leading up to our charter. Our air con wasn't working, there was no gas in the canister, our Wi-Fi didn't work and multiple door handles fell off. We wasted our first morning stuck in the base while a whole host of friendly staff worked to fix the problems.
The BVI is very busy in February and on three mornings we had the 7am stress of trying to secure a Boaty Ball mooring at popular locations. These were all booked in 10 seconds! We had prebooked three marinas and all our restaurants which proved a good call.
Our boat itself was excellent with all the major features like sails, engine, generator, tender working well throughout the week. We had some great sailing in the moderate-fresh Easterly Tradewinds and also enjoyed the warm temperatures and water for swimming and snorkelling. We booked a paddleboard but didn't get to use this due to the significant swells, even at "sheltered" anchorages.
All the Sunsail staff were friendly and helpful and with more care with the preparation and presentation of the boat, this would be a five star review.
