Some of the worst customer service...seriously

Sent a group of PS2 discs away to be resurfaced. It's now been a month with no information - I've emailed twice AND started a chat on their website (in which I waited hours for a response) with no answers at all. This is actually the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and at this point I'm just hoping I get my stuff and hopefully money back.

Purchases a copy of Point Blank for ps1. It cost $55 + $10 delivery. The case was broken and the spine of it was covered in actual animal faeces. I called the store and their numbers disconnected. Called their other store and they were speechless and did not know what to do, they asked me to try calling again tomorrow or visiting in person however I live in Melbourne. Paying a premium for games and not even cleaning them is absolutely foul.

Terrible company

I have used Super Retro numerous times to give them the benefit if the doubt, however I can't support the company any longer; with prices being absurdly high for games.
Customer service is truthfully kinda mid.
They send out incorrect products, I ordered a BOXED Gamecube from there and got a loose one despite paying the extra $100.

The only bright side is the games typically come in a decent condition but even then, that is expected from a retro game store.

It'll be easier and smarter to just buy a game refurbisher yourself and stick to eBay etc for games at a decent price

Horrible offerings

I've sold 50-100 games to them before.
They usually paid 60-70% of secondary market prices.

But I came to them to sell more and they offered 20-30% of the secondary market prices.

Absolutely absurd.

Super fast processing and shipping!

Order processing and shipping were very quick, and I received my item in 4 days. I'm deducting a star because the item page indicated that it was the Aussie version of the game, but I received a European copy. The game was in perfect condition and still in the Nintendo stamped shrink wrap :)

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced

I ordered their disc repair service and asked their support team to give me an address to send my damaged disc too, 3 days later I was told they would get back to me soon, 2 more days later and I still didn’t have an address so after multiple more attempts to contact the business I was forced to chargeback. Avoid these scammers at all costs.

Poor customer service

In June/July of 2023 I had some trouble with an order with Super Retro. It has since been resolved and initially I had decided not to leave a review, but I have since changed my mind and wish to share what happened.

I had purchased a Gameboy Advance, but when I opened the package the device would freeze upon start-up and was unusable. It was also dirty and rusted around many of the connection ports, which lead me to believe it may have been damaged internally. I did try to clean the exterior with alcohol and wipes, but this did nothing to fix the device.
I sent an email to the support team regarding this issue. I also sent a message via the online chat as a backup in case the email didnt send. After a few days with no response, I sent a follow up email, as well as responded to my original 'order confirmation' email. Another few days passed and I tried once again to send a message via online chat. I received no response to any of these messages.

Eventually, getting desperate to get in contact with anyone about the faulty product I received, I logged in to an old instagram account and messaged Super Retro on instagram. Thankfully whoever manages their instagram was active and I finally got in touch with someone from the company. After a couple of days they sent me a return label to ship the faulty device back to them. I shipped it the next day and send and I was told I would be contacted once the package reaches them. About a week later I received an email from the postal service saying the package was delivered. Two days passed so I sent a message to the instagram account to check on this, as I had not heard anything regarding if they had received my package. I was told they received my package and have a PSP ready to dispatch the next day. Which I quickly corrected that this should be a Game Boy Advance not a PSP. This was just a miscommunication, however I am still sceptical that I may have received a PSP if I hadn't followed up on this myself!

Eventually I did receive the replacement and this time the Game Boy Advance did work, I was also sent a $20 store gift card as an apology. So the issue was resolved, but I was still very appalled by the difficulty I had trying to get in contact with the store. I hope they have since gotten better, as I do really like their range of products, games, and consoles, and they are a relatively local company for me.
