I have been going to surfix for 3year now have to say they are there for you and do a great job

The hood on my car wouldn't close and we were going away the next day, so I hurriedly rung round various garages, to no avail, all except these guys who dealt with it, fixing the problem straight away and didn't even want paying! I would highly recommend this garage 100%

AVOID!!!!!! I have been going to Auto Surefix in Halifax for many years and never had any problems, Bob was always brilliant. However I took my car for MOT on 27th August and was dealt with by someone I'd never seen before, I later found out it was the owner Amrik. He failed my MOT and told me what it needed and then said I needed new front brake pads which I found quite strange as they'd only been on a few months but he said car would fail MOT. When he rang to say my car was ready I asked for all old parts that had been changed as I still couldn't believe my brake pads needed changing. I went to pick my car up and asked if my old parts had been put in the boot, at this time Amrik had left the premises. Young guy brought parts out and I asked what was in the box and he told me, however surprise surprise no brake pads. I was informed they hadn't done them as they were quite new and didn't need doing, yet I had paid for them. I had a second opinion from an automotive consultant engineer who confirmed no new pads had been put on and this was tantamount to fraud. I have since reported all this to Trading Standards.

I had to book my appointment at last minute online. Then got my days mixed up so didn't actually take my car on the given date. They rang me and said it was Ok to bring it the following day. Took my car down at 9am and although my car would not have been ready until 5pm I needed it back by 1230. It was all done and dusted for me by 11.30. Staff were polite and helpful. Would highly recommend. They made a busy, working mum's day run very smoothly.

Change of mechanics at this garage it seems. They’ve now adopted a policy of failing an MOT to ensure they get the repair work.

Took the car to Kwik Fit for a 2nd opinion and it passed with minor advisories.

It used to be a good place, not anymore.

Don't trust these crooks. Not sure what has happened as have previously had positive experience. Missed a major fault on MOT (and didn't put it down as a minor either previously) . Got problems fixed, car barely moved and they then they decide to fail it on the issue that was missed previously by this same garage so must have been inspected by Stevie Wonder and potentially putting lives at risk, DVSA would have a field day. Shockingly poor communication, you have to chase them to find out what's going on, if they call you it will be as they are closing also be very wary as they like to start work without your agreement as has happened to my colleague as well as them charging him £50 for a piece of wood sprayed black to "secure an insecure battery". Can also never give you a solid price. Avoid at all costs plenty of other decent garages in the area.

This is the only garage I actually trust the staff are friendly and helpful and above all very knowledgeable
Bob is a fantastic mechanic and mot tester took my bmw 520d in and was given all the information about the car and what it needed within an hour 100% satisfied

Amrik and his staff have been looking after my vehicles for more than 40 years. They are very thorough and great value. Surefix look after their customers and I know of many other people that have continued to take their cars and vans to Surefix for servicing over many, many, years. Next time you need a job doing on your car, check out their price for the job against that quoted by the main dealer. You will be glad you did! Also, get a free MOT when your car is serviced!

I took my Toyota to surefix and they did an excellent job replaced a CV boot replaced the complete clutch regarded my air conditioning replaced all my front and rear brake discs and pads and did all very quickly they were very courteous and kept me informed of all progress and any delays waiting for parts I went to collect my car and it felt brilliant to drive a great team of mechanics and a great garage.
