Scam! I did some “work” with this company in 2020 it was bad enough then.

Total scam I paid lots of money and got nothing in return but even worse than that I’ve just received an email saying I owe them £519 yet I’ve not agreed or even spoken to anyone about doing anything with them.

Do not trust!

SCAMMERS and THIEVES!!! UK company Surface Web contacted me out of the blue in December 22 because I'm trying to build my aesthetics business. They actually called a good few times but I missed their calls. They were offering me a bespoke website with 'first clicks on Google", regular contact with the person managing my website and was to confirm I was happy with website prior to it going live. Could sign for subscription after a month website being live if it was fruitful and bringing me more customers. Well was I an absolute fool!! I can't believe I was so stupid.
Yes, they've got their website. It looks legitimate and they're registered with Company House but in actual fact they're scammers and get away with what they do because of their T&C's.
I received nothing I was offered. My website was copied and pasted from Facebook. I had to search my actual aesthetics name to find my "website" and found my Facebook page copied onto a website called Studio 11 (or maybe a different number).
Now these dirty scammers took 6 installments out of my account in the space of 6 days. Payments were either £179 or £180. 3 payments in one day!!!! I couldn't understand why my credit card was so high. They stole over a grand. I called and called and spoke to the "nicest" girls. Who were amazed such a thing could have happened to me. They had no idea how this happened blah blah blah. Garbage. This is how they work and this is what they do. Noone ever returned my calls amidst all the stress they gave me. They knew how upset and worried I was. They sent some emails. It got to the point they stopped answering the phone to me so I'd call from other numbers so they'd answer....and of course they did answer!! They didn't give a damn. I threatened them with trading standards etc and thankfully I had my amazing sister to help me. She deals with such issues on a regular basis. I don't know how successful I'd have been without her as I see other reviews of people who weren't successful and lost similar amounts of money. I just wish I spoke with her first. Now, I did get all my money back because I just don't think they could deal with the pressure I put them under. I was relentless!!
Under no circumstances do you give these people your details. They WILL steal your money. I wish I looked at the reviews first....they all say the same as me. Avoid like the plague. I don't know how they sleep at night. I just hope other people see these reviews before purchasing. Unfortunately they tell you to go into their website and have a look and they then take it from there.

BEWARE...They took money from my account 2 years after I worked with them. I gave no permission for this. They continued to take x4 amounts and ignore all my calls and have only paid one payment back. So far to date they owe me 350 pounds yet don't care I'm struggling to live on little money while my dad is dying. Awful company

This company is totally scam. They have done exactly the same as previous reviewer. They have taken 5 payments of £179 and have cost me nearly £1000 less than a month.
I was promised that I will get my money back by Rebecca, Zara, Sam they are all liars and must be reported to police.
They take your hard earn money and don't pick the phone even!!!!

They have taken £179 out of my account TWICE and when I have raised it with them they have said it is being ‘refunded’ and the then get my number blocked! This company is absolutely disgusting and I would give zero stars if I could STAY AWAY!!!!

READ BEFORE YOU BUY , they use Victoria house as there address, it is not true , the place isn't built yet ,anyway I believed and trusted this scam company 5 months ago ,they've had £324 and built a nice looking website, but with issues , my security,, SEO another things like ,noone can leave me a email because I dont know where they are going , just found out 10 mins ago that website has been suspended bcos I ve not paid £24 , they didn't send any invoices, so how do I know when to pay, they ll sell the earth to you ,just to get your bank details, they are a disgusting company, filled with lies and deceit, rebecca ,sam there are disgusting human beings , zara is ok , but she's only a receptionist, so her work is basically limited , it took me a long time to leave this review, as I gave them chance after chance to fix the problems, I too was promised to be on 1st page on google and was told that they work for/with GOOGLE ( LIES ) I invested money ,tried to work with them ,didn't want to throw money away , but the website they made for me hasnt resulted in not ONE phone call or email, I get a from google every month , saying 0 calls 0 messages 0 views , 5 months later ,would you be happy to pay them for this for 24 months, surface web ,refund my £324 , so I can get another company to do what you promised to do months and months ago. The 1 star I give you is for a nice looking modern website that is totally dead on the internet

Scammers, avoid this company.
Steals money from your account and won't refund it, unless remove a bad review , you wrote about them.
When they can't answer a simple question, they put the phone down.
Don't let them have any of your bank details.
They tell you they work for Google.
This is a lie.
Sam Zara and Co are as much useful as a chocolate tea pot.

The only solution I have to resolve my issue with them ,and get my money back , is too issue County Court proceedings.

Avoid. If I could give zero stars I would. They took three payments from me agreed they shouldn’t have and still haven’t provided a full refund. Then tried to tell me the number they gave me and gave called me from belongs to a ten year old boy when I advised I would be issuing court proceedings. Please don’t use this company. I’ll assume any positive reviews are from friends and family. They also do not have an office and operate out of a deposit centre.

If you're reading this, I'm hoping it's not already too late, if you're unlucky like me and only looked at reviews AFTER Surface Web Media have STOLEN x3 Payments of £144 out of my account!

Have reported to Trading Standards & Action Fraud who have been absolutely USELESS as have my credit card provider as the Surface Web Media have fraudulently signed a contract with an E Signature (even though they were ringing me every 2 weeks trying to get me to sign up?)

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! CANCELLED OUR CONTRACT OVER A YEAR AGO AND HAVE CONTINUED TO TAKE MONEY FROM US ILLEGALLY. THEY JUST SET NEW DIRECT DEBITS UP AND TAKE MONEY WHEN THEY PLEASE. AVOID !

Direct debit was cancelled back in Nov last year but payments have been taken from my account again and the direct debit for some reason has been set up again.

I have asked my bank to look into this and get my money back.

Could you please ensure all my details regarding my account info is deleted or I will get in touch with my solicitors and enforce a request to investigate why you still have my information as per GDPR regulations.

Please let me know asap when my details have been deleted from your system so that money is not taken from my account again.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, HOW THEY CAN BE ALLOWED ON GOOGLE I DONT KNOW. ITS JUST A SCAM. THEY CALL YOU AND PRETEND THEY HAVE ADVISED YOUR COMPANY FOR YOU WHEN THEY HAVEN'T AND TAKE MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT. I GOT MY BANK TO TRANSFER IT BACK TO ME AND THEY TRIED SENDING DEPT COLLECTORS ROUND BUT ONCE I SHOWED THEM THAT THE COMPANY IS A SCAM THEY LEFT ME ALONE. NEARLY 2 YEARS ON AND THEY ARE STILL CALLING ME. I AM NOW TAKING LEGAL ACTION

Has anyone reported this company to trading standards? Also I believe any good reviews on here are from the con company itself. I cancelled over the phone within the first month. After the first 12month they stole several transactions of 180 pound over 7 days totalling around £1200. I informed the credit card company who refunded it thankfully. Now the company are ringing me threatening court and I must pay 500 pound as I have signed a contract I can’t even remember signing. But they will not comment on the 1200 they took from my account and there is no one to complain to when I asked. On the second call her accent changed half way through the phone call which is when I realised it is the same girl every time changing her accent. I have received no mail through the post no emails even though they say they will send a breakdown of costs/contracts debt letters but I have never received anything it’s all just threats over the phone demanding money there and then.

Exactly the same as posts below I’m afraid... conned me into a contract. Did absolutely nothing productive. I’ve ended up with them calling me today threatening legal action and CCJ’s etc over a contract I thought I’d terminated over a year ago after paying them off. Said they’d send an email confirmation today of closing the contract after paying yet again! Of course no email at all to follow. Please everyone AVOID! They even rang back by mistake after someone else, obviously struggling and it’s easy to see why. Shambles
