WOW Now it all becomes clear!

WOW! I can’t believe I didn’t google this place first! I have had Rebecca Lee from Surface Web Media/Services (or what every other name they’re using to trade under these days) on my back demanding over £1247 for a ‘supposed’ website which never materialised way back in 2018!
They part refunded me after I threatened legal action in 2019, then I heard no more…

Then all of a sudden, late 2024, Rebecca Lee has bombarded me with emails every day since and then hs the audacity to get a collections agency involved and threaten to take me to court…

Reading all of the reviews about them on here is all perfect evidence that this company are a complete disgrace. They are absolute bullies who rely on scare tactics to try and make a living.

What a disgusting waste of a humanity.

Back off and stop harassing me

I stopped counting at 50 calls! They are so persistent. I got an email from this scam of a company saying I owe £900+ in unpaid fees. I responded asking for documentation of proof of what work they have done for me, during what periods, and an agreement contract which I have signed. They did not respond. Instead they have bombarded me with calls, which is starting to become harassment. I have seen other reviews on here saying the same thing that I am saying. If it carries on, trading standards and the police will be informed. Back off and leave me alone

Dishonest, unkind, SCAM

Such a shame that you have to give 1 star!

This company is an absolute SCAM!

I started working with them 5 years ago to optimise my google ranking. Within a few weeks unauthorised payments were taken from my account. It took weeks to get a refund and numerous calls and emails.

One of the customer service employees said that she planned to resign over the way that the company had behaved. Clearly I told them that I did not want to work with them. As far as I was concerned we would have no more dealings and any work would stop. No further payments were made.

Since then I have not received one email. No 'progress reports' and no emails to say that a debt was being accrued.

Yesterday I was called and emailed for the first time in 5 years to tell me that I owe £800!

I explained the situation and have received an email today to say that they will be sending it to county court by 5pm today. Oh, and that this in itself will have a negative impact on my credit score.

Despite owning my own business, house and car (and having been a single mum for 12 years) I have absolutely no debt. Debt really scares me and I have never taken financial risks. So this communication (the first in 5 years!) has been a terrible shock.

I have seen numerous reviews on various platforms stating that this company is a scam and can only relay my experience and confirm that there is a clear trend in the way that this company treats people.

STRAIGHT FORWARD SCAM

These people contacted me asking for 550£ stating they would take me to court .

They claimed they had provided an SEO service for 12 Months , and had been sending payment requests to my business e mail which I had not answered .

1. Never heard of the company
2. Have a legit agent doing my SEO
3. No e mail contact ever made

When asked why they hadn’t contacted me by alternate means if they hadn’t been paid after 2 Month the answer was because their all handlers are too busy providing support to customers .

😂 an amateur scam outfit .

Be assertive and ask for ID and proof up front.

Another one! Scammers

This company are absolutely disgusting. Emailing my partner demanding large sums of money for something she didn’t even set up dating back to over 3+ years ago with no emails beforehand to make her aware of this “false” money she owes. She has rang multiple times and gets no solid answer, just more emails demanding more more. Looking at the reviews below people are having the same experience. This needs to be addressed. Absolutely disgusting. Sort it out.

Scammers

Scammers. My bank resolved the issue with this so called “company” in my favour. I’ve got my money back. I believe that was few years ago. I now started to receive daily aggressive emails demanding money. They also threatened to send debt collectors. Laughable! This is a bully tactics and should be reported to trading standards. If I receive one more email I’ll sue you for harassment and report you to trading standards. Back off scammers.

P.s mention something about owing 22 months? Even if this were some sort of signed valid agreement started in march 23, which it so very definitively isnt!! its now May 24 what are they talking about 22 months? Just threatening SCAM talk.

DO NOT USE TAKE MONEY AFTER CANCELLING

This company has taken several payments after cancelling it took me months and the threat of trading standards after finally getting my money back they proceeded to take money from my other account which has now left my bank short and I will have to go through the painstaking process of trying to get MY money back I am sick of this company and am definitely going back to trading standards

Hi Ms Marsland, thank you for leaving a review, and firstly we would like to apologise for our very very late response.

However, we can confirm that several payments were taken because you signed a 24 Month Legally Binding Contract. Under such a contract when a client or a Business Owner as you are decides to cancel, they must pay the rest of the outstanding term of your contract, which as you know has not been done.

From our investigation you rang in and said we had taken money from the wrong card and you wanted money refunded, which we did, and you proceeded to inform us, you will be putting money on your original card so that your monthly payment could be processed.

After the refund we have not received a single penny from you. Which really is so unfair for the simple fact that we trusted you to refund money to your initial card payment through the stripe dashboard ( meaning we have the evidence of the refund)

Unfortunately as a small business we feel somewhat scammed by you. and took our good nature and trust and exploited what you could.

So after reviewing all the information we are confident that we can now go to court and request what is legally ours.

We appreciate that this was a while ago, and we are also happy to come to an agreement moving forward. If this cannot be achieved then we will pursue you for what you owe.

Many thanks,

PS You will be contacted by an 0161 302 number we suggest you respond to ensure a speedy resolve. Its a real shame that we as a company are now having to go through a painstaking process to recover what is legally ours.

If not this company deserves less than…

If not this company deserves less than one star. I’ve worked for this company only a MONTH.
The company is a SCAM , the manager is rude and disrespectful, doesn’t know the law or how to treat employees, she decided to deduct money off my salary , just because she thought or decided I wasn’t doing anything, which is illegal , i then pointed that out to her and she proceeded to make comments such as, “please feel free to report me”. I was told to find alternative employment.

Come on, I’m completely disgusted by this place and recommend nobody to sign up for their services or work here at all. It’s designed to make you miserable

Please report this company for committing illegal dismissal and illegal deductions on pay.

You have fraudulently taken 7 payments out of our bank account of £150 totalling £1050 over a few days in November and December, we called and were informed the money was on its way back to us! This is not the case, I called and was given a call back appointment ( this did not happen) I tried to call you back and you blocked my number! Please do not give this company your details!!!

HI,

Please can you contact us so we can resolve this. There were cases where multiple payments were processed in these months. Most if not all have been refunded and if yours hasn't been refunded then we will be happy to do so.

Refunds were issued through the merchant and if thats what was responded at the time then they were taking a while to process them. However again we would like to stress if you havent received a refund then get in touch with us and ask for Ashleigh

Many thanks
