Disappointing

Reading these reviews I wish I had done so prior to my experience. The service was recommended by a friend who’s pieces she ordered were beautiful.

My experience however was disappointing. I dropped my flowers 20th September 2022. Waiting for an email or message confirming they were dried, the message never came. I messaged on 2nd March asking for an update as I had received nothing. My reply was that messages were archived and that I hadn’t paid a deposit, whereby I had to send photographic proof the deposit was sent the day the flowers were dropped off.

I was told The colour of the flowers had faded. There was then a lot of communication back and forth regarding the proof of my deposit payment and quite frankly excuses as to why it’s not Suspended Petals fault an auto email wasn’t sent confirming the flowers we’re dry.

I was then waiting for a picture of my flowers to see the now faded colour of them. The pictures were never sent. On 13th March I was told the pictures would be sent shortly. After no reply I messaged back 8 days later asking for the faded flowers to be returned back to me as I had seen no images of the flowers condition. I was then told that if they were posted to me they would get damaged in transit.

I didn’t want to collect the flowers myself as from the exchange of messages I felt quite uncomfortable with the abrupt nature of the replies I was receiving to meet face to face.

I have lost my deposit and my wedding flowers.

A friend prior to my experience received a beautiful tea light and letters however I just wanted to share my experience. A lot of tears had been shed over these flowers.

Steph thank you for you review, we are disappointed you chose not to continue with your flower preservation order.

You contacted us on March 2nd 2023 asking for an update on your flowers, you were responded to on March 4th 2023. You were advised that as it had been 5-6 months since your flowers were dry, the colour had faded on some of your flowers however the greenery & pampas etc was still perfectly fine.

There was some confusion over the deposit as the only name given initially on WhatsApp was Steph, this is not enough to confirm a deposit. As soon you provided a surname a deposit payment was confirmed.

No excuses were made as there was no reason to give them, you were informed of an email being sent in October 2022 updating you that your flowers were dry, despite you saying you didn't provide an email address when paying your deposit, this is not the case and you later found an email from me.

After asking for your flowers to be returned to you on March 13th, our conversation went as follows:

'Hi Ronni, would you be able to send me my dried flowers back please'

'Sure, send me the address you want them sending too. I can't guarantee how they will travel and they may get damaged in transit.'

'I can come and collect them if it's easier?'

'It's completely up to you if you collect or I post. Whichever you prefer.'

I am still waiting for a response and have heard nothing from you until this review.

Our messages were not meant to be abrupt, they were short, to the point & informative, if this made you feel uncomfortable please accept my apologies.

I would have been happy to arrange collection with you, without me being present if you wished, had you asked or responded to my last message.

I feel this 1 star review is unreasonable & not a true representation of events. Everything possible was done to accommodate your order and requests despite no contact from you for 6 months after delivery of your flowers. Had you continued with your order, you too would have received a beautiful keepsake.

We delivered the bouquet to Ronni on…

We delivered the bouquet to Ronni on the 2nd Oct 2022 and placed an order for two tea lights on the 23rd Nov 2022. Due to the time of year we agreed to wait until after Xmas for the items.
By Feb 23 we hadn’t heard anything so we chased. Ronni responded on 9th Feb stating the items were in the final stages and would be sent to us the following week.
By 6th March 23, we hadn’t received the items or heard from Ronni so we chased again. She replied the following day to say the pieces needed extra work and would be with us soon.
By 5th April we still hadn’t received the items, we chased again and received an auto response that stated Suspended petals would no longer be responding to enquiries about orders. I find this very unprofessional given it had been 5 months since payment and we still hadn’t received our order. Anyone in this situation would want to chase their order and receive an explanation.
I decided to contact Ronni by phone to find as by this point I just wanted a resolution.
Ronni contacted me later that day to state she had lost our order but had started making more tea lights as she still had my bouquet. As this had been going on for 7+ months and their own T&Cs state that flowers are destroyed after 8, I don’t believe the flowers are from my bouquet but by this point I just wanted a resolution and so agreed. In hindsight I wish I’d asked for a refund.
Once Ronni returned from her holiday I was advised the items would be posted on 2nd June and received by the 3rd. By the 5th I hadn’t received the items so asked for a full refund. I received a reply to state there had been an issue with collection although we were never informed of this. I eventually received the items on the 7th June 23, 8 months after the order was made.
The items are of satisfactory quality however, not what was ordered. We ordered one tea light to contain gypsophila and eucalyptus but neither tea light does. By this point, I was exhausted from trying resolve the situation and frustrated that I didn’t want to continue having discussions. I have just put this down as a bad experience. I want to tell people about my experience as it was so awful, people should be aware before purchasing items.
This order was over £100 and above anything else, these were my wedding flowers and held more sentimental value than anything else.
I remained polite throughout this whole experience but Ronni treated me and the sentimental value of my flowers with complete disregard. I’m not happy with the outcome as the items aren’t what we asked for and I’ll never get my wedding bouquet, or the opportunity to have a lovely keepsake of them back. I don’t believe Ronni was truthful throughout this process and it was nothing but a stressful experience from start to finish.

UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO SUSPENDED PETALS REPLY

Looking at other 1 star reviews, all have received a similar response to the one below. The response below is not truthful and doesn’t address the issues.

I read the T&C’s but the point has been missed. It was the continuous responses saying we would receive our order the following week etc. you weren’t honest with us, that's what my problem with the service was. This point is also irrelevant because the order was lost. At that point the T&C's no longer applied because the contract had been broken and I was informed that you had lost the order, not royal mail. You stated ‘I can’t find them’. This would have been the opportunity to inform me that Royal Mail had lost the order.

Its also states the order was shipped on the 5th June. Again, the issue hasn’t been addressed. You stated it would be shipped on the 2nd and received on the 3rd. This was another occasion I had to chase you when you could have kept me informed.

Although sorry I’m not happy with the final product the issue hasn’t been addressed. I’m not happy because it wasn’t what was ordered.
You also state we didn’t contact ou until May. We contacted you in Feb, March, April and May, which can be evidenced.

It also states my flowers weren’t treated with disregard. You may not believe so but the way you’ve treated us over the past 8 months has left me feeling like that. Unfortunately, the way you’ve made me feel isn’t something you can argue.

You haven’t received communication from me about the final product because after all the stress/frustration I have accepted that this was just a terrible experience and I no longer want to communicate with you. All I’ve done is leave an honest/factual review of my experience.

FURTHER UPDATE
Again, the updated response below does not address my issues and is a generalised response. You admitted to losing the items so I don’t accept it was RM at fault, and so I deem the contract broken. My review is factual and informs others of the potential issues they’ll face.

Natalie, thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations despite our best efforts. Our records show your order was shipped on March 13th. We had no contact from you after this date until May 18th when you informed us you had not received your order. Looking into the issue, your order was deemed lost by Royal Mail by this time. Speaking to you and informing you of the situation, I agreed to check the office and our records to ensure your order had not been returned and I would get back to you with an update. Speaking to you later the same day, you were informed that your order was not with us, however we still had flowers remaining from your bouquet. At no point were you or your flowers treated with disregard. We had a lovely telephone conversation on May 18th along with very polite and informative messages later that day. I offered to remake your order for you and ship it as quickly as possible. You were happy with this arrangement and agreed readily. Your order was shipped on June 5th, it was delivered on June 7th. I was on holiday during the time after our initial conversation and your order being shipped. I informed you I was going to be on holiday and tried my best to have the replacements to you prior to this. Unfortunately your replacement was not ready prior to my holiday as I had hoped, you were informed of this and were happy to wait until after my return. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the finished product, we worked hard to create these replacements for you in an exceptionally quick timeframe. Our terms and conditions state all orders will be shipped within 4-12 months. Your original order was shipped within 4 months of ordering. Once you informed us you had not received this, your replacement order was sent in two and half weeks. Both of these are well within our maximum timeframe for orders to be completed, even with the 2 months between your first order shipping and you contacting us in May. We have received no communication from you since your order was delivered on June 7th other than this 1 star review.
UPDATE:
Our contract was not breached as the loss of your parcel was down to a 3rd party. Once your parcel left me and was in the hands of a 3rd party I cannot be held responsible for its loss. During the process of creating these keepsakes there are long periods of time where there simply is no update. Pieces take a long time, precision & care to create. Resin takes a long time to pour & cure. Then pieces need sanding & topcating. At times pieces needvto be sanded back then the top coat process done again. Possibly multiple times. I have made every effort to communicate to clients, yhe process of preservation cannot be rushed and will take a considerable amount of time. There have been updates to our system in the past months to increase the number of updates sent out in hopes of reducing the time spent with no contact. There will still be weeks where clients won't hear anything, simply because there is nothing to update. I am dedicated and passionate about the pieces I create, I work extremely hard to have pieces as perfect as possible whilst also working as quickly as I can. Our updates have been lacking previously, all negative feedback is taken into account and we work on improving our services as much as possible when there are flaws noted. I am not amazon, or any other large corporation, I cannot provide the services I offer within a few weeks or couple of months. I have made very effort to manage clients expectations for how long the process will take. It was never my intention for you feel disregarded, during our conversations you expressed complete understanding about the situation and were happy to wait the extra few weeks to have a replacement made.

Disappointed

It’s hard to express how disappointed I am with this service but reading her other reviews has really resonated with me. I don’t want other brides ending up in the same position.

After dropping the flowers to Ronni, I had no concerns and looked forward to preserving my wedding flowers. The bunch given to her was expansive as it included my own bouquet, my mums flowers, some from bridesmaids and spares left on tables. We hoped to do a big order for all of us.

5 months passed and I heard nothing. I messaged Ronni and heard nothing for 14 days ‘her notifications were switched off’. I had to send her a photo of my flowers and full name. I then asked for a photo and had to wait a further 14 days and she was either ‘on holiday’ or ‘WhatsApp had blocked her’. I found her difficult to correspond with.

I decided that I no longer wanted to proceed with the process and then realised she has increased the cost of each item on the website- a pack of 4 coasters is now £100+.

When I finally received a photo of the flowers that had been dried, I was disappointed. I understand some flowers can’t be saved and some would lose their quality but there were hardly any left at all. I feel it’s important to note a range of flowers in my bouquet were already dried.

I wished to collect my flowers a they were and her response was I either pay £150 to cancel and collect my flowers or spend over £100 on her products.

I’m gutted that my flowers will now basically end up in the bin but thankful some bridesmaids dried their own flowers and have offered to let me have them.

Beth, you delivered your flowers in the first week of January, there were 2 emails sent in February informing you of the next steps as the flowers were dry. Neither of these emails have been opened to date. On May 29th you contacted us via WhatsApp, we were closed whilst on holiday at this time. I contacted you the evening I returned from holiday expalining I was still out of the office but if you sent a picture and your name I may be able update you that evening.

You were contacted apologising for the delay in responding to you, explaining why there was a delay and informing you there were issues out of my control that unfortunately meant no responses could be provided to you or other clients on WhatsApp for around 12 days.

There was no effort, at any point, to contact us via any other means between January & June. The email from February informing you your flowers were dry was sent again June 14th, this email has not been opened to date.

It was only difficult to correspond when you did not receive the response you wanted. Despite your repeated requests for us to return your flowers without the cancellation fee or completing a purchase at the risk of a negative review and reporting us to Trading Standards and other agencies, we explained the situation to you, multiple times. Our cancellation policy, which you agreed to when booking, is there to protect against loss of profit, which cancelling your booking will cause. We take a limited number of bookings per month and cannot recoup the loss your order cancelation will cause. The 'vast amounts' of negative reviews you speak of is actually only 3 since you booked, this is out of over 70 orders that have been delivered to date this calendar year.

Our 'extensive list of terms and conditions' are standard terms and conditions most businesses will have in some wording. There are some that are specific for flower preservation, however you will find these included in most flower preservation company's T&C's.

There were around 4-5 heads that were not dried from your flowers, this was due to them being squashed or rotten, this was along with a small amount of bouquet fillers from your flowers that were not kept. As stated in our terms & conditions, not all flowers will be dried.

You have been offered options to move forward, either complete your order which has a minimum value of £100 minus your £35 deposit, totalling a remaining £65 to pay, or pay the cancellation fee, and you can collect your flowers. Your flowers will be kept for 12 months for you to decide what you'd like to do, after 12 months your flowers will be disposed of.

We have increased the prices on a very small selection of our products by around £20-£30 in January ‘23. The coasters as you mentioned have not increased in price, we have stopped offering a set of 2 as an option, a set of 4 is now the lowest quantity available, this is possibly where the confusion has come from regarding pricing. There has been no breach of any laws or contracts as has been suggested in our correspondence.

If you still feel the need to report us to Trading Standards and other agencies, this is your right to do so, we will cooperate fully with any agency and provide any relevant information should they require us to do so.

Just disappointed

A few days after our wedding, it’s dawned on me that I wanted to keep the flowers as a keepsake, after searching online, we found Ronni who wasn’t too far from us, after a quick phone call we could deliver the flowers to her by hand and paid our deposit. Lovely lady and reassured us that our flowers would be looked after.
To our delight we were glad we got the flowers to her in time before they died and couldn’t be used.
After lots of back and forth messages on instagram (nothing was communicated through emails) to see where our order was at, I had to keep reminding Ronni that we hand delivered to her personally and this was ‘July 2022’ and I had to send her photos of our flowers to remind her which ones were ours.

I understand Ronni works by herself, it must be really hard chasing everyone’s emails and messages, but what’s frustrating is seeing her take on even more work for herself and she quoted to me that she was behind as had 80 bouquets to get through, this then makes it difficult to know who’s bouquets are who’s and doesn’t give you much confidence.

After reading reviews I realised we would not be getting our order as soon as we’d expected.
Seeing her social media of other people’s work, made it feel as though we’d been forgotten about.
Lots of stories on her Instagram about feeling deflated about reviews and getting orders wrong which then made it even more concerning.
I again messaged in ‘Feb 2023’ to ask about our order, I was advised it was going to take 2-3 weeks max, but still nothing!
I then chased this up and was told there was some defects that need fixing.
We then had lots of missed communications regarding whether my order was being posted or collected.
My husband went to collect in the end as I just wanted my order after waiting 9 months.
Website states ‘Communication is a big part of what we do, we take great care to keep you updated at every stage of the preservation process’. -
I just feel like this needs working on personally as we didn’t get any form of communication regarding the stages.

We eventually received our order ‘April 2023’
Review on product-
My husband showed my mother in law before heading home, she made a comment about them not being the best.
Once I received my resin letters, I’m not going to lie, I was just as disappointed as some of the reviews I had seen.
They had marks and bubbles on the surface and did not have that glossy shine that you see on her Instagram. The letter ‘T’ has a huge dent in the side. They feel rough to touch. As for the flowers, the roses do look dead. I’ve tried to display the letters on our wedding photo shelf but in all honestly, they just don’t stand out and are very wobbly!

I emailed Ronni the same night I received my order, stating the marks and bubbles.
I was told to use a damp microfibre cloth to clean them to get rid of any finger prints or marks, I had sent videos to show Ronni what I meant regarding the quality of the pieces.
Ronni did say to drop the pieces of to her and she will fix the imperfections but I’m generally exhausted with the whole process.
I’m sorry for this review but I have to be honest and I’m not entirely happy with the quality, the resin moulds and the dead looking flowers.

Edit as I’ve seen your reply!!

How dare you lie in your reply? Absolutely disgusting that you are making out the customers are to blame for the defects?!
I did send you videos but they are very clear with what I was trying to explain to you.
We have paid for something that is not a professional finish.
You have also lied about showing them to my husband, he’s just confirmed that on collection (and yes out of hours which you were absolutely fine with) you handed him the box and shut the door!!
As for messages via instagram, you never told me to communicate through emails and I had to search you on the internet to get your email address.
My review was not as bad as others I’ve seen. I would not recommend this business for the attitude received and for the poor quality of unfinished pieces.
We are relying on a business to keep our flowers safe, a sentimental keepsake and it’s been ruined!
I did say they looked pretty at first glance, it was not until a closer inspection at how poor they looked, I did email you straight away as I wanted to have evidence that the defects were as soon as we received them, as seems like you are putting the blame onto your customers.

When we first spoke to you about preserving your flowers we did indeed speak on Instagram. Instagram handles are often very different from the names used when ordering which makes it very challenging and time consuming for us to connect people with there orders progress and give updates in a timely fashion. We have implement the 'no contact via Instagram' policy for quite a while now, and as you said yourself you follow us on there and regularly see our stories where we have mentioned numerous times of the policy change. You continued to contact us via Instagram direct message, despite being informed of the change and also out of business hours. Due to illness whist your order was being made, your order was delayed slightly. The amount of bouquets we had at the time of your order did not affect the timescale of your order or the updates you didn't receive as there were no updates to give. In regards to 'Lots of stories on her Instagram about feeling deflated about reviews and getting orders wrong', I'm unsure how this is related to your order, but it was 1 story where I was very open and honest about the situation and the steps take to correct my mistake. Clients are updated on orders throughout the process but there are long periods of time where there is nothing to communicate. I am not able to update every client weekly on the progress of their order otherwise I would never have time to create any keepsakes. Processing times are very clear throughout my website and I update clients when there is something to update them on. You hand delivered your flowers, I was under the impression from the in person conversation we had at the time, you would be collecting your pieces. You were made aware when your pieces were completed and we heard nothing. Eventually we spoke and it was clear you were expecting your pieces to posted, after a lot of emailing asking if you wanted me to post them to you, you finally settled on collecting your pieces. Your husband collected the pieces out side of business hours, I showed him the pieces whilst he was here. You then emailed me, outside of business hours at 19:44 that evening saying 'Thank you for our resin letters, they are very pretty. However, I have noticed a few defects with the letters.' I responded to your email that evening, out of business hours & despite already being available for your husband to collect your order. I asked for videos or photos of your issues, the videos and pictures you provided showed no issues with the pieces. I had your pieces out 2 hours before your husband collected them to take updated pictures of them for social media, these pictures have been posted to social media since they were collected, and there were no scuffs, marks, dents, scratches, bubbles or bumps or anything else wrong with the pieces. There was a very small issue on a corner of the T where there had clearly been a bubble in the mold.

EDIT: Some of previous response removed to fit reply.
I have not lied in my response. I have security camera evidence that I showed your husband the pieces before he left. Your videos were not clear in showing any issues, I said this to you in our emails. It was made clear multiple times on my Instagram stories of the policy change which you admit to looking at frequently so you were aware. My email is address is on my website, your order confirmation & my Instagram bio. There is no blame, you aren't happy with your pieces, I disagree with your version of events. I work hard to create amazing pieces for clients, I can't please everyone and negative reviews damage by business and reputation.

Absolutely heartbreaking my flowers are dead!

I have been debating on and off whether or not to write a review but after almost a month of no reply to my 2nd email after receiving my pieces (which I was told my 1st went into junk) I still have a niggle.

After reading other reviews I feel my experience has been similar.

I first contacted Roni the day after my wedding (July 22) and received a quick reply that I could drop my (fresh) flowers to her before leaving to go to the airport for honeymoon. I had no concerns at this point, I expected to wait a while before hearing more knowing the flowers needed to dry etc…

In September I chased to see how my flowers were getting on - the first message was never responded to as apparently went to a requested inbox - which is strange as we had previously messaged with no issues.

Once I got a reply, I was asked to send a photo of my flowers as she had two orders with the same name.

Following on from this we exchanged messages about what I could do with my flowers… I opted for x2 candle holders and a cube which I requested a single white rose on a bed of eucalyptus. When placing my order I also reiterated this request on my order notes.

I was told 6-8 weeks my order would be completed.

I chased at the start of December and was told they should be received in time for Christmas. NOTHING.

I then chased again 3rd February for an update in which I was told it was being worked on and we should receive them the following week.

Whilst away for the weekend (23rd Feb) luckily my neighbour text to say she had a parcel for us (which the postman was going to leave outside the house). We had no warning this delivery was due to arrive and it could have easily been stolen if it wasn’t for my kind neighbour.

Anyway once home - we opened the box and the disappointment hit! I’m just not quite sure they are as I had expected.

I have since emailed to tell Ronni of my disappointment only to receive a very delayed response saying my email had gone to junk and that I was notified about the risks. After my 2nd reply - radio silence.

I sent pictures of my flowers which I took just before I dropped them off. And photos of my finished pieces.

I feel the preservations I received have lost all colour (which I was possibly expecting some change), they no longer look “alive” and I am really struggling to see any of the eucalyptus in any of the pieces.

The cube we discussed (and also noted on the order) was to be a single white rose on a bed of eucalyptus however, this is not what’s been preserved. The cube has two large flowers one of each colour (both look dead) and some pampas - no eucalyptus that I can see at all.

I can see some bubbles in the resin on all pieces again I expected this but the pieces are not quite as shiny as others she advertises on instagram pictures - mine seem to have a dull matt finish with scratches rather than any gloss/shine.

I am so sorry to be writing a review like this (it has taken me a while to decide if I should), I understand these pieces of work take a lot of time, I just don’t want other brides to have there flowers destroyed the way I feel mine have been.

I did read about the colour changes and possible bubbles and totally understand that’s a risk and that can happen.

The more I look at them the more upset I get - I’ve showed my parents and my florist who even questioned if they are my flowers?! Another resin artist cannot be sure but thinks my flowers have been “flash cured” which is why they in this state.

I feel bad complaining as I know a lot of work goes into these things. I guess I’m just feeling very frustrated as I invested a lot of money into these and feel disappointed they are not as I had remembered them being.

In comparison to the picture I took of them the day I dropped them off VS their resin state - they are just totally different, wilted/brown and dead looking.

My friend showed me a picture of her preservation from another artist (Sept 22 wedding and received March 23) and the quality is worlds apart - that artist has kindly offer to recreate my flowers at a discounted cost, which is so kind but I just don’t have the money to keep paying out.

I just feel so annoyed that someone can do this to something which should be a very sentimental memory piece and to even claim they look beautiful and then not respond to emails nor offer any type of compensation or ownership when my flowers have quite simply been ruined.

You offered to re-make with some of my flowers you still have left but I said not to waste your time. I’m not convinced that they will look anymore “alive”, especially since we are now 9 months on. And I do question why you would still have my flowers? As they should be unique to my order which as far as you were aware had been completed and told me they looked “beautiful”.

If there was an option to upload pictures I would. A lot of people seem to be having the same issues with this business and I do not feel this is a reputable business.

Hi Vicki, I am disappointed you felt the need to leave such a negative review. Having spoken to you I have offered ways in which I can rectify the mistake in the flower layout as well as offered to asses the matt finish you feel your pieces have.

Having looked through our previous messages, there was a delay in communication as a few emails you sent went to our spam folder.

Having spoken to you since your order was received, you informed me that the cube was not as expected in terms of the flower layout. The pictures you sent me of your pieces were close up's and sent as a collage so I was not able to see any of the issues you spoke about. Checking your order notes I confirmed with you that it was an error on my part, which I sincerely apologised about, that the cube was not made as requested and I offered to remake the piece for you at no extra cost and get it shipped to you in a couple of weeks and for you to keep the one created in error. You firmly declined this offer, I responded to this email the next day and am yet to hear from you until this 1 star review.

Regarding the 6-8 weeks completion time, this was offered as a guideline & not a firm time line. The flower preservation process varies for each order. It is stated in various places on my website that order will take between 3-12 months. Your order was delivered well within this timeframe.

When your order was shipped you would have received an automatic email from me with a tracking number as well as an email from Royal Mail to say a delivery was on the way to you.

Flowers change colour when drying, this is something out of my control, this was explained to you prior to the preservation process, and is in multiple places on my website as you progress with an order as well as in my terms and conditions so you were fully aware this can happen and the results will not be known until an order is complete.

I can assure you the pieces you received are your flowers and your flowers were not 'flash cured'. Your pieces were poured in multiple layers to prevent flash curing which is one of the reasons the process takes so long. I still have the remainder of your flowers because I keep any remaining flowers after orders have been dispatched in case are there any issues with lost parcels, this ensures I will have flowers available to recreate as many pieces as possible.

I am a reputable business and work extremely hard to create everlasting keepsakes for people from various events. I work alone and this can sometimes mean messages are missed and mistakes are made. Whenever a mistake is made I do my absolute best to rectify them where possible, as I did with you. I have worked on hundreds of bridal flowers, funeral arrangements etc over the past 2 years and 99% of my clients are thrilled with their pieces.

I'm sorry you feel your pieces are so bad, I thought they looked lovely when they left me even though admittedly the cube was not the layout requested. If you wish to reconsider and have me create a new cube and asses your issues with your tealight holders then please let me know via email.

Really gutted

Really gutted - I paid my deposit in June and hand delivered my flowers to Ronni at the end of September. After asking a number of times for an initial update it took months for a response when I was advised she was not sure which flowers were mine. I then sent pictures of my flowers as requested and received no further response. I have since emailed, WhatsApped, and messaged via Instagram and the website and nothing again until mid-Feb, again asking me to send pictures of the flowers. Chased a number of times since and nothing. I completely respect this is a small business but the lack of communication and service has been really disappointing.

Chloe, once your flowers were dried you were sent a number of emails informing you that it was time to choose and order your pieces. We heard nothing back from you & no order was placed for quite some time.

When you contacted us we got back to you asking for a picture of your flowers to ensure we found the right ones. Under usual circumstances any orders not placed within 8 weeks of the flowers drying results in thrnflowers being destroyed. Luckily for you during the time we waited to hear back from you we renovated our studio. During the renovation your flowers were stored in a separate area out of the way of the renovations. Unfortunately this meant it took us longer than we would have liked to locate them once we heard from you. This was explained to you when we spoke.

Despite conversations with you since, you have decided not to go ahead with preserving your flowers. We have offered to return the flowers to you at no extra cost to yourself or without imposing our £150 cancellation fee. Your flowers are due to ship tomorrow.

Freindy, helpful advice

Found Ronni online and was quick to respond to my query regarding flower preservation. On arrival, I was given helpful advice on what options were available.

Little to no communication & unfinished goods - disappointed on such an expensive order

I placed an order for a very large quality of items and even added further to my order. The first order placed was for 10 placemats, 10 coasters and 2 candle holders placed in May 2022 and the second for 7 additional candle holders in July 2022. After months of messaging/calling/emailing/whatsapping, I finally get replies, basically once a month-ish, with no real information as to when my items would arrive. Getting to December, still no items, I had to beg on messages to get an answer if I would receive my goods in time for christmas as some were presents for my family. I finally got an answer with only 1/2 the order has been shipped on the 9th December - luckily the ones I needed for presents. All were finished well and looked amazing, I was happy, but it took 6-7 months to get anything. Feeling hopeful for the remained of my order to follow shortly, christmas and new year came and went. I was messaging/calling every 3 days, no answer, I was at the end of my patience. Tuesday 31st January 2023, I finally got a reply - this is now 8 months after my wedding and order - they will arrive this week. I have now (Thursday 2nd February 2023) just received the balance of my order and honestly, I am hugely disappointed and upset. What was left to arrive were the 10 placemats. I have received 3 which are significantly thicker than the others and 3 are totally unfinished - sharp edges and bubbly - they haven't been sanded and rounded. Im just so upset, these are my precious wedding flowers which I hoped would be preserved and looked after as if they were their own, and honestly I feel let down. I have contact the company with images of the issues, with no reply yet. I think honestly I deserve some money back as its taken so long and the state of the placemats which were not cheap by any stretch, are not what I expected to receive based on the price I paid. Please be weary of the lack of communication and especially with a large order.

Gemma, we are sorry to receive such a negative review from you. We created pieces specifically for you that we do not offer and were specially requested by yourself, we went above and beyond to source molds and create these very specific pieces for you.

You were made aware during the process of delays at the beginning with your order due to supply issues and the purchasing of new molds etc. We were upfront with you about all of these delays as soon as they happened and explained the reasons behind these and also explained they would delay your order by a number of weeks which you expressed you understood and thanked us for letting you know.

You orders were placed on the 24th June and 26th July, your orders were shipped on December 9th 2022 and February 1st 2023. We explained to you that some of your order was not ready to be shipped prior to Christmas but we wanted you to have something in time for Christmas so sent the completed pieces for you. The other pieces needed some extra works to complete, as well as Christmas, New Year & unforeseen illness your last few pieces did take us a couple of weeks longer than we anticipated to be sent to you. Preservation pieces can take between 3-12 months to complete depending on there complexity and size, this is made clear when ordering as well as in our terms and conditions. Your orders took around 7 months to complete, this was including a 4-6 week delay waiting for specific molds that you were made aware of when your order was placed so are within the 12 month maximum timeframe.

I run every aspect of this business entirely on my own, I am not able to answer messages within minutes despite my best efforts, I work hard to respond to all messages with a reasonable timeframe but sometimes this is longer than I would like.

This review was written within 3 hours of you contacting us with your concerns after your order arrived and before we had a chance to contact you and rectify the issues raised and come to an agreement with you. Having now spoken to you we have to come an agreement, we are happy your full order is now with you.

A lovely reminder of the wedding day

Ronni was wonderful in communication and keeping me up to date at different stages of the process. The final products (coasters with my wedding flowers) are amazing, and a lovely reminder of the day.

Messaged the sellers a few times in…

Messaged the sellers a few times in regards to an update and was told will let me know. Then did not recieve an email back. Emailed again and no response. I was then sent an email saying its sent out for delivery when arrived packaging well very nice. The items weren't smoothly finished, the glass is dull. I emailed the company again in regards to this to ask them if this is normal and still no reply. Very disappointed as I paid alot off money for what I ordered and they have my wedding flowers in.

Hi Sarah, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately messages do get missed, I work hard to respond to clients as quickly as possible however it is just me that runs every aspect of the company and I can miss messages etc. For this I can only apologise and have taken steps to hopefully reduce the amount of missed messages in the future.

Regarding your order, after speaking to you about the issues you have raised in this review and explaining the reasons for the cloudy appearance, we offered for you to return your letters to us at no extra cost to yourself for us to rectify the cloudiness. We sanded the pieces and added a new layer of resin to each letter in order to rectify the cloudiness. Having completed the restoration work your pieces were crystal clear and looked amazing, these were shipped back to you as quickly as possible. We hope you are now happy with your letters and again we apologise for the inconvenience this caused you.

Lovely wedding mementos

Ronni dried my daughter’s wedding bouquet beautifully and made resin letters and candleholders with the flowers embedded.
They are quite lovely and very much appreciated. Reason four stars not five is that the letter F does not stand up due to weight imbalance. Apparently it is stated on website that some letters won’t stand, but we didn’t see that and so be aware.
Otherwise whole process fine and lovely product. Ronni very helpful.

Thank you for your review Sandie. It was my pleasure to preserve such special flowers for you. Apologies again regarding the F not standing upright, unfortunately this is due to the letter being top heavy. I really hope you all enjoy your pieces for many years to come. I appreciate you making others aware, it is stated in the product description.

Just amazing

Just amazing! So glad I contacted Ronnie. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my flowers or if I was too late to do anything with them but Ronnie was really helpful and gave me all the info I needed. I purchased 6 coasters and I love them! Would highly recommend. Thank you again Ronnie xxx
