We sought Shuna’s help for our son who was suffering with hair loss at 16 in 2019. He also had problems with seborrhoeic dermatitis, unsuccessfully treated by our GP. Shuna did a thorough assessment and put our son at ease. She is friendly, professional and a good communicator. She diagnosed early male pattern baldness and started treatment with daily hair drops, which he has continued to use, and special shampoo for the scalp condition. There has been a noticeable improvement to both, the hair loss subsided and in fact there has been some re-growth to the crown area. Shuna has continued to support us to the present date, always responding promptly to emails. We would definitely recommend her service.

I consulted SussexTrichology six years ago as my hair was thinning. Shuna diagnosed hereditary female pattern balding due to a drop in hormone levels. After using scalp drops daily, I was able to reduce the dose and my hair is now in good condition. I have new growth around the hairline and narrow partings plus thicker top hair.
I am very pleased I consulted the hair clinic and apart from having to have annual blood tests to check my hormone levels, I feel I can relax in the knowledge that my hair is now fine.

I cannot recommend Shuna highly enough. I was nervous about getting in contact after being made to feel like I was overreacting about Felicity my 6 year daughter’s slow hair growth. Then when she came home from school on more than 1 occasion crying and saying children were being unkind saying she was a boy because she had boy hair I felt like I needed to at least try and see if there was something I could do for her, as it was heartbreaking for both of us to say the least. However I really didn’t need to be, Shuna replied to my enquiry almost instantly and after checking blood test results arranged to have a telephone consultation the next week. I felt listened to and Shuna showed such compassion and kindness during the call and made a clear plan with us, and reassured me that it wasn’t anything I had done. Then over the following days I was in contact with her with questions and she was patient and even though I was probably driving her mad she absolutely didn’t make me feel that way. Shuna recommended starting some iron replacement and I couldn’t believe how quickly we started to see an improvement.

Getting in contact with Shuna has literally been life changing for Felicity (and us). After being advised to not pull at her hair and to leave it down Felicity was a bit upset however now she has quite a collection of headbands and which one she is wearing is often the talk at the school gates (in a good way). She now has so much more confidence and is so much happier, even tho the taste of the iron isn’t pleasant she can see the improvement and she has taken them with minimal drama - what a trooper! If anyone is considering getting in contact with Shuna then my advise would be to go ahead and do it, you won’t regret it!
