Nice place to sit and have a drink
The Swan is a characteristic place, lovely and cosy with many interesting features, unfortunately the food was terrible, we had cottage pie, it tasted like frozen mash and budget mince, we didn't enjoy it at all and it wasn't cheap, they got my wife's coffee wrong and was met with attitude when we asked for help, the lady did sort the coffee out but wasn't happy about it, i wouldn't go back there for food again.

Excellent service by Joe - no problem in providing dietary requirements. Something for all tastes on the menu and reasonably priced. Good pub grub.

The Swan in Thornbury. What a Gem.
Well what can I say, this place is like going home, incredible family, warm, homely atmosphere. Great range of drink and Thatchers Rascal on draught, amazing traditional pub food, all obviously home made, faggots to die for, my wife had the pie and OMG what a pie, crisp pastry, great chips and gravy. If you want a proper English pub experience then this is the destination for you. Great extensive menu. If you don’t visit here it’s your loss. You won’t regret your visit that I can assure you.
