Gave us access to the right coverage for whole family.

Take command is leading the charge when it comes to ICHRA. They have been such a huge help for my family. Their approach gave us access to the right coverage for the whole family, tailored exactly to our needs. It's made the process simple, flexible, and stress-free. We feel confident knowing our health benefits fit our situation perfectly, and that peace of mind is invaluable.

Take Command helped find a good health insurance plan.

Take Command helped me find a good health insurance plan that accepts both of the doctors I see frequently and covers my prescriptions at lower prices than I remember paying in the past. Their customer service has been helpful with questions when I've needed them. I'm happy with my plan and their service so far!

Reimbursements

Take Command has been so helpful! In addition to our coverage we are receiving reimbursements for our Med-Wife care that would otherwise be out of pocket costs. This has opened up options of care that would not have been available to me otherwise!

Would not have my insurance information without Dani!

United HealthCare was having issues displaying my insurance card and locating me in their system. My son and myself urgently needed care and we needed our insurance information. I was calling several times a day every day trying to resolve it and getting nowhere. Dani reached out to UHC herself and followed up with me closely. She escalated the situation until it got resolved. She worked so hard and was dedicated to resolving this and understood how badly I needed this fixed. I absolutely would not have been able to resolve this myself without her help. I am so grateful for her commitment and cannot thank her enough.

Constant Bugs, Poor Customer Service

We've been using TakeCommand for a few months for very straightforward reimbursements. Every time I log into our account, I'm unable to accomplish the task I set out to do. There are non-stop bugs and glitches, and the incredibly slow customer service makes me feel like only one person is operating the entire company. Would not recommend whatsoever.

Our company made the switch to ICHRA in…

Our company made the switch to ICHRA in 2022. The experience with our initial ICRHA provider was incredibly poor. We moved to Take Command the following year and it was a night and day difference! It's really important to understand that - in the world of insurance - ICHRA is still in the early stages. This approach to employee benefits may not be for everyone. It takes a lot of employee education and hands-on assistance. Take Command has continued to improve each year we've been with them. They listen to their client's feedback and make enhancements to make the administrator and employee's lives easier.

Switch to ICHRA…

Our company made the switch to ICHRA and TakeCommandHealth in 2022. We had continually faced budget issues from Health Insurance increases coupled with complaints from employees about healthcare choice. Although the learning curve was difficult at first, it was a game changer. Our employee recruitment improved over the ability to equal or better medical benefit costs of competitors and reigned in exploding healthcare cost. TakeCommandHealth has been a great partner in improving the experience of both the employee and HR administration. I like how they recognize that they can continue to improve.

Headache, hassle, waste of time and money

Command sold us on using their platform for our QSEHRA, saying they would make it seamless and hassle-free for us as the employer. Our experience was the opposite start to finish. Our employee had a terrible time getting her existing insurance coverage approved, and it required hours of my time going back and forth with customer service agents, following their directions, and then having my employee's coverage rejected again. After 5+ hours of my time she finally got her coverage approved and was able to start submitting receipts for reimbursement. But as soon as she submitted reimbursements, all her claims got denied for trivial reasons. Each time she re-submitted, the claim was again denied. Finally an agent told her that every receipt had to be uploaded as an individual PDF, and she could not upload multiple receipts, even from the same vendor (e.g. an HSA-approved storefront or doctor). I had chosen Command hoping to take the hassle of managing our QSEHRA off my plate, but using them ended up being 5x the hassle. For small employers with only 1 or a handful of employees, it is NOT worth the trouble. Your employees will hate it and make it your problem to try to get on the phone with customer service to solve it.

Save yourself the headache, find another option

Possible the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not only did different agents give completely different answers, the only time they answered a call the agent didn't seem to understand a single thing about insurance. The entire time she read from a script, talking over me as she forced onward with unhelpful answers so badly that it felt like I was talking to a bot. Finally she put me on hold to talk to a manager when asked for one, only to come back on the line, say one wasn't available, and then disconnected the call. I still don't have answers, and still don't have a resolution or insurance. Do not use this company for your own sake please.

I am still trying to get used to the concept of this ICHRA thing aftet being on a group plan with either BCBS or UHC for most of my 35 year career.
I’m not sure if I like it yet.
Signing up was a bit of a pain.
I asked a representative if I could use my COBRA they told me yes, so I submitted that indoor and then my dashboard said “DENIED” and no one could tell me how to get back to the option of choosing another plan. (it was vague in the description of whether or not I could use my own COBRA, it was worded to sound like I couldn’t use my spouse’s COBRA)
I finally figured it out by telling it I’d recently lost coverage and then the options to choose a new plan was available again.
There are so many to choose from, it gets confusing but I finally settled on a UHC Gold policy with a low deductible and low cost for specialist since I see several a few times a year.
The most annoying part was having to wait days for a call back from someone to help me sign up.

Terrible customer service, broken promises

The startup I work for has selected Take Command for administering my QSEHRA. I submitted information for compliance for existing insurance on Feb. 19. It said it would take 1-3 business days, which is what they advertise and put on their website. I'm still waiting for it to be approved. My administrator has also called for assistance. I was told on 3/12 that it would be reviewed by EOD. It wasn't. I was told there's no way to speak to a supervisor over the phone except to request a call back after filing an escalation form that they fill out AFTER you get off the phone with them. Through the chat function, the person said the escalation was never filed and that reviews can take 30 business days. Every timeframe my administrator and I have been told has not been met.

Very slow on answering and solving Admin and Employee concerns and questions.
Company may be understaffed.
Software cannot fully accommodate taxable reimbursements and non-taxable reimbursements, and cannot offer support or explanation as to why.

Company doesn't understand their own processes

You cannot buy an MEC through Take Command Don't let them fool you. They also have no idea how to help people buy an MEC. I've been sent to four different 3rd parties, all of whom tell me they're not the correct place to contact, then I get caught in a loop with Take Command's support team telling me to contact those same places. Because of their lack of knowledge and insanely slow response time over the past almost 2 months, I am now going to miss the deadline and have no coverage.
