I found the survey too broad, and had to get an electrician, a gas safe engineer and a constructor separately to assess risk. The report does not include photos, and is extremely expensive for the service provided. The communication afterwards was snappy and almost rude.

James Cohen has surveyed two properties for us in the past three months -- a flat and a house, both in London NW11. He is extremely thorough and prompt in the service he provides, and gives verbal feedback afterwards, which has proved valuable in both instances. His detailed reports not only gave us reassurance, but provided check-lists of works we needed to do in the properties after purchase. He has had 30 years doing this work, and his judgement is extremely sound. We strongly recommend him as a surveyor and valuer.

Talbot surveyors team helped us schedule a homebuyer's in a record time. The report is incredibly thorough, very well written & explained, easy to understand and with a lot of helpful tips for future maintenance, especially for first time buyers. I have used Talbots a number of times over the years for both homebuyers reports on new purchases as well as a valuation on a lease extension. I have always found them to be extremely professional and very thorough in their reporting. Very honest surveyor. They produce a very thorough homebuyers survey - full prose as opposed to usual traffic like report. I appreciated the honesty in them advising a homebuyers survey was sufficient for me even though a buildings survey would have made them more money. Quick turnaround and good email and phone communication. I would recommend.

I really enjoyed myself during my visit at Triangle Town Mall. Talbot was very on point and services were excellent. I was put in contact with James Cohen of Talbots Surveyors by my solicitor, when I informed him I would like a comprehensive survey of my prospective property in the Finchley area.

He responded to my email promptly and booked my survey in for a week later, which I would consider reasonable under any circumstances. But, especially in the midst of a pandemic (Covid 19), I was more than happy with the wait time.

The highlight though had to be the fact that I recieved a 20 page detailed report on the same day that the valuation took place. Such a quick turnaround is remarkable.

The report also contained a valuation of the property and this is not always the case when getting a homebuyers survey, so a nice perk to say the least.

All in all, the service was perfect.

I have had both a Homebuyers survey and a freehold valuation done by James, very professional, efficient, through and good value for money. Follow up advise provided based on current market volatility greatly appreciated.

He is very knowledgeable and we received the report on the same day he did the inspection. Our property has a few issues which he addressed on his report.
