This has been a great and helpful experience. I never did therapy before and it has helped me identify where my issues lay.

My therapist Pricilla is by far the best therapist i could ever had. She helped me with my trauma, anger and patience. I have accomplished them thanks to her help i feel better about myself.
Thank you, Pricilla for listening to me and give the perfect advice.

My therapist is amazing. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without her.

Daniel is amazing he asks the right questions and gives me space to answer while also allowing a space for him to respond. He asks questions that allow me to challenge myself for a higher level of self growth.

It’s fine, but some things could use work. First, the 30 minute format for live calls is too short. If you’re only meeting with someone once every two weeks it takes almost half the time just to bring them up to speed, which doesn’t leave much room for actual therapy. Second the app is buggy and sensitive to incoming calls, which will cause your session to lose audio or freeze, causing you to lose valuable time. Third, I wish it was easier to shop around for different therapists before leaving the one you have or that they offered a video intro or something to help you know if you’ll vibe with them. It’s fine if it’s your best option for therapy, but probably wouldn’t be my first choice if I could afford other options. The perks are you can use it anywhere (don’t have to go to an office) and the price is pretty accessible, but I do really wish the sessions were longer.

I love the way TALKSPACE matches you up with a provider that has experience with you specific disorder.

I struggle maintaining a consistent therapist. Fortunately I was matched with one who is responsive, stays on track and keeps up with my hectic life. I am thankful for her skills and follow up.
For psychiatrists, I feel like the short time spent, and lack of follow up is difficult for me to follow.
App is simple to use, I think the fees are insane. Do they help me keep my appointment? Yes. Does it add an insane amount of stress? Yes.
Again fortunately I was matched with a therapist who keeps their appointments, I do my hardest to keep mine with her as well.

Significantly better councilors than other apps like BetterHelp. I’ve seen several people via Talkspace due to moving states and all councilors in the US being state liscenced. They have been amazing on Talkspace. I don’t know who vets people but give them a raise! App is also decent and does everything it needs to do.

I have had a great experience overall. My insurance covers my therapy and I am grateful. I see AnnaMarie and she has been extremely helpful, I look forward to therapy each week! The site is easy to use and scheduling is easy.

I have been so fortunate to have been paired with an amazing therapist through Talkspace. I can be anywhere with phone service and a scheduled appointment.

Unfortunately, I am not impressed and will not be using talk space anymore. I went through two different therapists. The first one was just extremely flaky. And she was flaky in the most inconvenient way. I don’t complain about how busy I am, but I don’t have a lot of free time. If I’m paying someone and they’re inconveniencing me that’s a dealbreaker.
The second therapist was just extremely unprepared. The last session had nothing to do with why I was in therapy and she didn’t remember anything about my situation and that she assigned me homework.
The entire session ended up being about me writing a list of things I needed to do to move & get back into school. I didn’t tell her I needed help with that at any point. In fact, I tried to politely tell her I’m good in that department but she wasn’t catching the multiple hints. She also was extremely negative about me considering going back to school to get my masters.
I think the session was pretty bogus because it had nothing to do with my childhood trauma and the reason why I was in therapy. I communicated this to her in the two first sessions and somehow the third session ended up being unprofessional and not helpful because she doesn’t take notes or come prepared. She just kind of shoots from the hip. I went back to in person therapy and my first session was so professional, and she was so prepared that I’m not going to bother with talk space.

The company has completely gone dark on any sort of support. Just unresponsive to phone calls or messages over the course of almost 2 months with multiple follow ups. The providers are fine, but I'm trying to get linked with a specific provider for couple's therapy - sessions we already pre-paid for - and I just can't get a response.

The app is user friendly. I had 0 issues connecting to a therapist fit for my needs. Allie has been amazing and I honestly am so grateful that my insurance company connected me to Talkspace. The only thing I would say if more flexibility can happen with cancellation/no show. Although I have not had to use it sometimes emergencies happen! Overall, love Talkspace

I love my therapist, she is the best. This review falls nothing in her, she has been nothing but amazing.
The app itself could really benefit from some policy adjustments, particularly regarding the $60 rescheduling fee. Charging clients for moving a session—even with 12 hours’ notice due to emergencies—feels overly rigid and can come across as lacking empathy. In situations like unexpected hospital visits, having no flexibility in the 24-hour policy is especially discouraging and may push clients away rather than support them.
Additionally, while sessions are listed as 30 minutes, a significant portion of that time is spent discussing scheduling for the next appointment, leaving closer to 20 minutes of actual session time. It may be worth reconsidering how that time is structured or extending sessions slightly to ensure clients feel they are receiving the full value they expect. Small changes in flexibility and time management could greatly improve overall client satisfaction and trust.

It is so easy to book appointments and talk to your therapist. I also love you can do pictures and chat. HOWEVER, matching a great therapist is difficult and sometimes the rooms stay open and you can close them which makes for lots of visual clutter. Talkspace is also very transparent around fees for you if you cancel late BUTTT You get no credit or ANYTHING for your therapist canceling on you last minute. Which is why they cant get a 5 star. No fairness here.

My therapist is wonderful! I like that she has been guiding our initial sessions and teaching me concepts about my health and emotional health in general. She communicative and plans our sessions in advance. The Talkspace messaging app could be more user friendly. Our video calls drop frequently, especially when I try to view previous messages in the app.

Gets you 80%-90% of what you want from a 1-1 in-person visit with a certified therapist. The remaining 10%-20% that lacks is due to privacy concerns, therapists are more like social workers, and large tech company mentality on “progress”.
