I am a recent TAP customer and am mightily impressed.
The app simplifies what appears to be a complex world of Crypto, enabling a user to easily access numerous Cryptocurrencies, whilst holding GBP, EUR, USD in separate accounts, within the App.
The cash-back reward system via MasterCard enabling the user to choose premium accounts for up to 8% is very interesting too.
My queries were answered very promptly & thoroughly via the 7 day in app service thank you Maria!

The app says that it’s currently under maintenance since yesterday yet 24 hours and nothing changed. Are you guys closing down and planning to run away with our money? Do you think that it’s normal for a financial Institution to not allow their clients to access their funds for more than 24 hours because you hold your app under maintenance for so long? That’s not ok and if this doesn’t change I will issue a legal complaint.

I am writing to express my outrage and frustration with the handling of my funds in my Tap Global account. It has now been over a month since I transferred 30,000 EUR into my account, and not a single explanation has been provided as to why the funds are being held.
Despite my repeated attempts to contact customer service through email and other channels, I have received no response. This is completely unacceptable. I am unable to access MY money, and I am being given no information about what is happening with it or when I can expect to receive access.
This has been the worst customer experience of my life. Holding someone's funds without justification is not only unethical, it feels like outright fraud. Based on this appalling treatment, I strongly urge others to avoid using Tap Global under any circumstances. They are clearly untrustworthy, and it seems they have no intention of providing the services they promise.
I will be taking legal action unless this issue is resolved immediately. Tap Global needs to understand that this is not just an inconvenience, but a serious breach of trust and responsibility. If you are serious about resolving this, I expect a prompt response and the release of my funds within the next 24!

I’m tired of receiving the same generic, copy-paste responses from your team. I did not reach out for another standard reply — I need real action and answers. It has taken you an unreasonably long time to respond to my inquiries, and now all of a sudden you’re acting like you care about the situation. Let's be honest, this sudden urgency on your part has more to do with protecting your reputation and your bottom line than actually resolving my issue.
I’ve already involved my bank, and they are actively looking into the matter. You can be sure they’re taking it seriously, and I don't think you want to deal with the fallout from them escalating this further. Additionally, I have already consulted with my lawyer, and I’m prepared to take legal action if necessary. This is not a situation that I’m willing to let slide.
I’m requesting an immediate, concrete response from you. Please stop with the generic excuses and provide me with a real, actionable solution to get this resolved. I expect a prompt and clear answer — no more delays.

I loaded up money from my own card today £191 and then as soon as I loaded it, the payments stopped working so my money is now trapped, I feel extremely stressed this has caused a major issue I won’t use it again I advise people not to risk your money

16 days frozen funds! with no updates and no changes in my Tap account and still frozen funds. they are asking my Email to support me ??? its funny , just ask your Robot support and they will tell you who am I.

I’m running on IOS and the Tap app has never worked for me for well over a year now, even after many app updates.
I think this has been a blessing in disguise judging by most of the reviews I’ve read here and elsewhere and I’m so glad I was never able to deposit 1 cent onto their platform.
Just for a laugh I’ve literally just updated the app again 1st November 2024 and it says the app is still under maintenance LOL…..
Think I dodged a bullet here but still pissed off because I gave these clowns my personal details and it’s obvious now they’re a scam organisation.
Plenty of other companies out there like Nexo.

If you can’t find my name in your system then maybe I was wrong about giving you all my details and I apologise if that’s the case, it was 18 months ago! But I’m telling you now that the app has never worked for me and still doesn’t as I type.

You have my email now so just send me a message and I’ll send you a video of me opening your app in its latest version and you can see for yourselves the ‘under maintenance’ sign that’s been there for 18 months even after updates!

The LOAD button of the Tap Mastercard prepaid card button silently revoked/disappeared from the app without any prior or after warning! I rarely used Tap with fiat currencies only when abroad. I decided to use the card in September this year and found out I cannot transfer money from my main wallet to my Tap card wallet with the app as usual, e.g. to load the card, because the loading button has been programmed to disappear! In August 2023 last year, the TAP system erroneously overcharged me 6 EUR which TAP could not explain why, they returned the overcharged amount months later, and because of additional reminder of mine. They never explained, even after a year, what was the bug that caused this, but would you trust your money with the TAP system when such things exist? Now with the card issue, TAP support started explaining that the card provider had stopped my card in my "area" (Bulgaria, EEA). No info provided by Tap about the card provider. Which countries were in "that area"? I found myself the prepaid TAP card was issued by a Lebanese bank, most likely. I never received a reply from that bank either. I went to an ATM and tried to withdraw a small sum. The failed transaction due to "insufficient funds" immediately appeared in the TAP app log, which meant the card was well active and not blocked by its provider! It was blocked by TAP themselves, and they were lying to me. A few days later, Tap Support reluctantly admitted the card had been stopped in "November 2023", which strangely coincided with my last successful use of the card. The mentioned card's "restricted area" was neither mentioned anywhere in the present TAP/card terms, nor had I received any emails of such disabling. I paid a 2 EUR fee to Tap for a SEPA outgoing transfer (which is a high charge for such things now in EU) and withdrew my money from TAP (I could not use the card's monthly free ATM withdrawal). The bank transfers to/from TAP are very slow and probably human approved each time. You cannot receive transfers from other parties other than you, this is NOT a bank, like many positive reviews here say. I am considering filing a complaint with the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, which governs Tap. Just search for the names of CEO of Tap, and you'll understand why they most likely behave this way. I do understand I was making a very low profit for Tap but was it worth it to disable my card? This makes me think Tap is probably facing serious financial issues behind the scenes.

The reply below from Tap is again like most of their replies -- WITHOUT ANY details. Which is the regulator that banned "that area". Which is the area? Which document/letter was their order? Come on, this is EU! What happened to those erroneous charges in 2023 that the buggy Tap computer system charged me? Lies, lies, lies... I don't believe you at all not to mention leaving any money with you. Your company is just balancing on the virge of deception. And beyond that.
