Great Customer Support Experience
I spoke to Ben A about my loan.
He was fantastic, explained everything very clearly and informed me of the steps I needed to follow in order to resolve my query.
Now I am having a terrible experience even though I paid my loan off in 2022
Took over a secured loan I had with another finance institution and I paid it off in full in August 2022, didn't think anything of the fact I had no confirmation it was fully paid. Last week I go to add some additional borrowing to my existing mortgage to find that there is a charge on my property, registered against my deeds, which should have been removed when loan was repaid in full and hasn't been. I have no idea how to get this resolved, I have no idea how to contact this company, but on reading reviews this isn't first time consumers have experienced this. I can evidence 15 years worth of payments from 1st through to last through bank statements, but this won't get this charge removed. Seems like they bought a debt from another company & then didn't service it properly when it was fully paid. You can bet your bottom dollar if a customer stopped paying the loan when it wasn't actually at and end, they'd be in contact immediately. I can't get hold of them, the details I have on my original loan agreement no longer exist and a letter I found from 2020 with a customer service phone number just goes straight to an answer service, where I can leave a message, but I don't believe this would lead to a call back.

1 star is too much for these people..
1 star is too much for these people... trying to do a simple re mortgage to pay in full is like pulling teeth. Had a valuation done RIC approved sent out by the mortgage company ... Target saying they can't accept as would be conflict of interest, really how as the only ones FASC regulated is the mortgage company not Target. Repaying a loan should not be this difficult never know anying like it... if this was a bank they would most certainly be in breech of limitless laws and regulations and lose their licence to trade. Targets response
Targets response , it seems by what they are saying that they work far too close with the fos hence why I’m paying to have them looked into privately.
This response makes it very clear!!

Hi Jay. Target have worked closely with the FOS on this case providing all the information needed for them to carry out a thorough investigation. The FOS is an independent body. We accept the FOS findings as full and final.
Thanks Phoebe for picking up the call…
Thanks Phoebe for picking up the call at 5:25, and it only takes me 10 mins to be picked up. It's a big improvement since last time I waited for 40 mins.

Unbelievable sad not even know where to start. Start the equity process back in May 2023, after back and forth all was eventually expected to be done by October 2023, then after swapping from Target they just said some documents have been lost and destroyed got nothing on me and need to restart the whole process again!
Started again all submitted by 24th Nov 2023 told them the urgency, raised a claim chasing with lawyers and target and yet after 7 weeks still zero nothing been completed.
Unbelieve useless people, service it is just a shame I can't curse in here because those type of words are the only ones could be deserved for these whole bunch it is just impossible to be polite for as much as you really want.
Sad how a transfer equity process can be hanging almost for 1 year and yet no one takes any responsibility whatsoever.

former (thankfully) employee here!
i don't even know where to begin.
from the useless training, which was provided by a lovely guy to the senior staff that bullied employees. it was a roller coaster. the technology we used was ancient and constantly logged off and hung up calls (that the employees were blamed for), the process never stuck to timescales and if you tried to provide a quality service that took a little longer, your manager would jump down your throat about not taking enough calls. literally worked to the bone for a rather crappy pay. the max time you were allowed to be on a call was 10 minutes, this included all your aftercall work, whether it be uploading documents or typing notes, it was expected to be done on the call, if not you were questioned. eventually as new starters began, the managers eased off and became useless. escalation? never taken, even if the manager was available, we'd be instructed to say they werent and the customer would recieve a call back (which also rarely happened, to my knowledge) it was also a toxic environment where seniors constantly bad mouthed employees, customers and their own seniors publicly, and if you dared speak up against it you'd become suffocatingly isolated.
I honestly felt dreadful having to turn back to customers and state useless generic info, that in no way answered their queries or concerns. because if we dared give an off script answer and the quality assurance team caught you, you'd be ticked off either infront of the office or on the teams groupchat. We also couldnt send anything but generic info on email which would force the poor customers back on the ridiculously long wait times. understaffed and underpaid should be their new slogan honestly.
eventually, it affected my mental health so badly to the point where my own family were telling me to quit, and being the shy pushover i was, never could. luckily target solved it for me, by firing me AFTER my 6 month probation and being introduced to an official team. they fired me on the spot. why, you ask? dropping calls. the evidence? a couple of numbers on a google docs. i was told this had been going on since i started and that was why it was so severe, i asked if this had been going on for so long why was i only being informed now, i was told that these checks werent done 'regularly'. once in 6 months? absolute joke. unfortunately, being the naive 17 year old i once was, i didnt know i could dispute this. honestly im just glad to see the back of it all. im also terribly terribly sorry to all the htb customers that are trying to repay their loans, because for the most part, it felt impossible. and anything that went to homes england was sucked in by a black hole - never to be seen again. such a company should never have been allowed to exist.

Complete mismatch of informations
Complete mismatch of informations, a sealing process takes 6/8 weeks!
I’m being removed from the charge by way of Deed of Release, all documents have been submitted to HTB, along with proof by email that a Deed of Postponement is not required from the bank, however I’ve now been told that this is sufficient when I was told an email was fine!
I’m at risk of loosing my new property and I can’t complete that transaction until I’m removed from the HTB charge.
I was told in September it’s a quick process……
I ask to speak with senior members of the team, they’re never available and also submitted a complaint which I’m yet to hear anything about….
Stay away for HTB!

Previously wrote a review about my HTB…
Previously wrote a review about my HTB not being fully process since June 2020 as my deeds are not correct.
Received a phone call about this matter from target. I was told this would be a quick process with sending an email attaching the DS1 and supporting docs, also that I would receive a phone call no later then Monday 18th to say this has been sorted and my deeds are correct. But I have had nothing again.

HTB loan repaid in full end of May 2023…
HTB loan repaid in full end of May 2023 when property sold. Target have still not discharged the charge at the Land Registry and registration of purchase is now being delayed and has been cancelled. Judging by other reviews this is a regular problem. The loan has been repaid, so do your duty and discharge the charge. Failure to do so is having negative knock on consequences for so many people.

I am in desperate need of Target to complete my transfer of equity case
I am in desperate need of Target completing my transfer of equity before my mortgage offer runs out at the end of this month.
They have had the documents for months, but fail to respond and treat this with urgency. If this is not resolved, I could potentially be losing my house.
Please can someone from Target/HCA contact me to escalate the case.

Awful customer service and just bunchof jokers having no clue what they are working on!!!
If there was an option to give NO stars, I would had done that.
Wanted to close and pay off their 20% equity from my property, after a million emails and calls settled the payment in June 2023. Since then, I have been waiting for them to remove their name from my property Title. At the time of writing this, it's been 5 months waiting and they have no updates. The customer services is just a joke, who put you on hold for 10 minutes for every question you ask. and after 10 mins, they just have a template response, "it will be done soon".. So frustrating and stressful to have to go through this process.
Such a shame their website does not offer an option to officially complaint either!

I never recommend it again
I never recommend it again
Contact with them is very difficult and I spent many hours on the phone. During the extensive procedure of closing the account, there was no response from them, I had to pay twice for the valuation and redamption stedment. I wrote a complaint about their costumer service for over two months and there was no response, perhaps because I asked them for a refund of the costs that I incurred because of their fault. I felt cheated and embarrassed by their approach to a customer who pays them money for free
