I cannot say enough good about this…

I cannot say enough good about this company. Not only do they avoid bad ingredients in their cosmetics, but they stand behind their products. If you ever have a problem with an order (i.e. exploding lip gloss), they will send a free replacement immediately with no questions asked.

I have pretty sensitive skin and have never had a reaction to their products. Additionally, their colors are earthy, natural, and long lasting.

I hate to tell you but another name for…

I hate to tell you but another name for "tarte" is "prostitute". I'm appalled that women would actually support a company that treats women as sex objects. Your advertising campaign should read, "Support misogyny today by buying prostitute cosmetics" STOP SUPPORTING MISOGYNY!!

A makeup lover, not a full-on fan girl for the brand.

I've tried quite a few products from Tarte over the years. And I have to say, I'm a bit torn on this brand.

On the plus side, I absolutely love their commitment to using good-for-you ingredients and being cruelty-free. The packaging is also super cute and Insta-worthy. Some of their products, like the Shape Tape concealer and the Amazonian Clay blushes, are total holy grail items for me.

However, I find that Tarte can be quite hit or miss from line to line. Their foundations and complexion products tend to be amazing, but I've been really underwhelmed by some of their eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks. The quality just isn't always there.

Price-wise, Tarte is also somewhere in the middle - not cheap drugstore stuff, but not super luxe either. So I expect a bit more consistency for what I'm paying.

This waa 2nd order placed with Tarte…

This was my 2nd order placed with Tarte and once again my order has been lost in Transit
I was spetical ordering again as the items comes from the america but i have ordered from other american websites with no issues
I placed the order on 2nd February and tracking today was just showing it had left customs . Customer service chat confirm item was lost in trans, they have said they have refunded me but really worried i won’t see my money again specially after reading most of the reviews
I certainly won’t be ordering from them again and wish me luck on trying to get my refund 😢

Tarte (via website)

UNAUTHORIZED charge of $98 for products I DID NOT ORDER. Because I did not place the order, there was no record of it and I was unaware of the charge until a package came in the mail.

When conatcted through online chat service to let them know and ask for a refund, they said they could not process a return as i was in Canada. They also refused to refund me the unauthorized charge, as they apparently didn’t have the order in their system… even though they were able to charge me and send out the unwanted items. Customer ‘service’ rep was dismissive and offensively rude.

Sneaky shipping costs added when using money off voucher

Wanted to treat myself to some body care and stumbled upon Tarte cosmetics. Was offered a 15% welcome bonus so thought why not? Had products worth 51 quid in the basket, free shipping. I applied the 15% welcome offer and the total jumped to 53 quid? They’ve added on £10 shipping (not even express shipping - just the standard that would be free had I not applied the discount). Didn’t order as this is ridiculous. Received a cyber Monday offer today, 40% off. Same again. £10 shipping added. This is not how you welcome new customers or treat existing customers

I had a problem with a product (Tarte…

I had a problem with a product (Tarte QuickStick) where I had four defective sticks - each of which cost me $28 each. After working with customer service we came to an agreement which was fair and acceptable. Once I reached Keisy, she made things right - and I will continue to used Tarte cosmetics.

Truly horrible!!!

Truly, honestly horrible!! Customer service is awful & rude!! I'll just keep buying Tarte products at Sephora. People are much more polite and helpful. They're acting willing to HELP you. I'll absolutely never recommend anybody purchase from the Tarte cosmetics website! I had lots of points, around 2,800. Well, I had tried to use them for purchases a few times, but they wouldn't let me. So, I started using Sephora for my Tarte products. Which their makeup is truly garbage, but I'm not sure about their blush. Their eye cream is awesome! So, before they expired, I tried to call and do the live chat several times, before they expired, and nobody would help me. So, if you want anything of Tarte, do yourself a favor and get it from Sephora.

You never know what you’re going to get

Tarte cosmetics is either hit or miss there’s nothing in between unfortunately. I have purchased their clay eyeshadow palettes that look beautiful, but they have no pigment. They have no staying power and I end up returning them.

Then I have bought pallets that are amazing, such as
The Maneater pallet is the opposite of everything I just said. The colors are rich and creamy. They go on beautifully. They are highly pigmented. There’s not a lot a fall out. It’s a beautiful mix of matte, satin and shimmer.  Their Sweet Tarte Cravings is another beautiful palate.

My favorite waterline eyeliner to help open your eyes more is fake away by Tarte. It comes in the perfect peachy cream color to help open your eyes after a long night out.  It is far more natural looking than using white eyeliner. It is super smooth and non-irritating.

Tarte cosmetics only get three stars, because you never know what you are going to get. I would suggest purchasing Tarte from Ulta or some other place that accepts returns, because you will end up returning half of what you buy.

These morons sell an eye cream and even…

These morons sell an eye cream and even do nit know it contains retinil ingredients. They put their clients health at risk and do not care about it. As everyone know vitamin A products are not recommended for some conditions. Firstly they do not mention the ingredient in their brief explanation of the product. Second they do not warn their clients anyhow like “please note there is..”. Thirdly they even do not know the ingredient list of their products and asked me where did I saw this information. Lastly they refuse to provide approximate percentage of this ingredient so our doctors can measure the risk.
I am honestly in shock with their inadequate response and am considering to take this further in court. They must inform their clients properly and take responsibility when this is not done.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. They were running a "promo" on the site, so I placed couple of orders. Next day orders got canceled without any explanation. So I tried placing again - same thing, canceled without any explanation. Tried final 3rd time - this time got an error message, that my credit card was invalid, so I tried a different one - same thing. Tried paypal - same thing. I finally gave up, none of the orders went through.. so much for the "Sale"

Difficulty placing an order

I was trying to place an order for 2 days after payment I get an error saying “payment not accepted try different method”. Tried different methods, paypal different cards. Still same error pops up: “try different payment method”.
I was able to place an order 2 days ago but now it’s been a huge problem for me.
contacted customer service twice still no result.
Disappointing that no one could help. I just simply wanted to buy some make up products seems like there is no answer for my problem.

Won’t refund

Ordered from tarte a lot and they refuse to offer refund as in the UK. I now have concealer unopened which is the wrong shade which I can’t use, they need to be obeying by the consumer rights act when selling to the UK

SHOCKING SCAM

As with most other people reviews, disgusting customer service and totally unacceptable.
Ordered on black friday and waited 3 weeks for my parcel, none of the order references given to be worked on their website, contacted them and was told by one person it would be delivered this week, then two days later get an email saying that my order was "lost" and they cant send a replacement and have to reorder?!?! If that wasn't unacceptable enough, I also have to wait 2 weeks for a refund from the first order?!
COMPLETELY out of my control yet you cant do anything to rectify it?? This isn't the first time they've pulled this scam either

Amazing customer service!

First of all, For all the Aussies out there, be aware that it's going to take a while to get to you. I assumed that everything was shipped from Australia because I was on the 'AU' website but that isn't the case. My order took like 6 weeks to get to me and was stuck in customs for like 2 weeks. To be fair, i did order during the black Friday sale so that could have contributed to the shipping times. Anyways, one of my palletes came broken, so i emailed them and they got back to me really quickly which was really good of them, however they said they weren't able to replace anything for international orders which was disappointing considering it was a gift. However, i was really impressed by how they handled the situation. They issued me a refund (sale price), gave me a code for 40% off my next purchase and said in order for me to get my order at the original price, they would honour the remaining 30% and the shipping fees of the fastest shipping method. This all happened in a matter of 1-2 days! Super impressive. I'm not sure if i would order again based on the shipping times but besides that, they were super amazing.

Abysmal customer service

I placed an order of one of their 'make-up bag deals' in Oct 2022. After waiting way beyond the expected delivery date with no news I contacted them to be told that my order was 'lost in transit', I would be refunded within 2 weeks and should place another order. I stated that I would not get the same deal again and it was not my fault the order went missing. They offered to pay me the difference between my first and second order and to cover express delivery so I would get the order by end of Nov (great, sure!). What a lie! I have not received my order nor have I received this partial refund. The customer service has been terrible; they simply tell you to wait X working days and 'you'll get an email', which you won't get. I have emailed, called and phoned to no avail. I have asked to raise a complaint and escalate and the advisors refuse to transfer you to anyone else. I will never buy from them again and advise that you don't either.

Zero aftercare for uk customers

I received a product that was not fit for purpose and not as described. It was a so called pore-less foundation stick that actually highlighted pores sinking into them in little dots! I asked for a returns label to send it back and got the following response: Thank you for contacting tarte customer service! We truly apologize that you weren't fully satisfied with your recent order. Unfortunately we do not offer returns or exchanges on International orders, as per our FAQ's.

I’d give Tarte 0 stars I could.

I reordered after they sent me the wrong order in September. This time the carrier hasn’t even dispatched my package and it is sitting in their warehouse. This was supposed to be second time lucky. I was told please give them another chance and I won’t be disappointed. LMAO! We am annoyed. It’s a shambles. My order has been refunded again!!

I have been told to reorder my items for the 3rd time (seriously!) and I will be given a 40% discount. I have only been given another 20% code again. Why should I trust you? How does it work on free items such as the £8 deluxe maracuja juicy lip plump in primrose? Will I be given one for free? I doubt it! Why incentive do you give returning customers other than a big fat zilch!

I have only been given a 20% discount as the agent said it was beyond her remit to give me 40% one? Does that make any sense? No normal company would do this. How to lose a customer in 40 days!

I have given you two chances to sort your sorry mess out. Yet again you expect me to waste my time and effort ordering from you and wondering if I am going to get the items I ordered or if they have even been dispatched. It’s a joke.

NARS, MAC, Charlotte Tilbury, Bobby Brown, YSL etc don’t behave like this and send out the correct items on time. Why can’t you?

My order number is 55528997. I ordered on the 5th and expected delivery was 21 October. And again another big fat disappointment.

Please give me a very good reason why I should ever use Tarte again. I shall be telling all my family and friends or avoid Tarte unless you enjoy being positively disappointed!

So very miffed at your poxy 20% offers. Match the price for the entire order or don’t even bother.

After all that fiasco - the parcel arrived this morning. My husband opened the door to the Postman. It should have arrived by the 21st. There was indication it was being sent and only checked updates after I contacted tarte regarding where my refund was as at.
