Used to be Good
I’ve been a customer of Tastily for over a year now so have a lot of experience with the service and food offering.
I’ll start with the good. The food I think is very good. Not always the most filling of meals, but excellent variety and usually the taste is very good. The convenience is also a significant factor for me and the new delivery date of Fridays is extremely helpful.
Unfortunately, now the bad…
Recently, Tastily upgraded their website. However, in reality this has led to more friction when placing an order. Often the ordering screen is laggy and doesn’t save your selection. This can be extremely frustrating. It has definitely worsened since the ‘upgrade’.
I have also had numerous weeks where the order has been wrong. Sometimes there’s zero explanation for this.
And now for my biggest frustration with Tastily…..the lack of service and support. Often emails go unanswered, live chat is unmonitored (it feels) and calling them also usually results in your call just disconnected. I suspect they have an extremely small support function and it’s just overrun - probably due to the tech issues with the website.
This week just gone, I didn’t receive an order at all. Even though I placed it. Could I get through to Tastily to discuss? Absolutely not.
I also have a number of ‘points’ to use for being a loyal customer. Can I use said points easily? Absolutely not. Can I ask someone from Tastily to help me redeem them? You guessed it…..absolutely not.
I am now shopping around for other options. This is a real shame as I was so happy with Tastily, but I’m just so exasperated now with the lack of support and poor website with frustrating UX.
*update* Have now figured out how to apply the points. Was more by accident than judgement. Awaiting response from Tastily around last week’s non attempted delivery. Attempted to call again, no answer this time.

3 days of trying to get a response… no luck!!
Delivery and meals were great, but unfortunately trying to communicate with tastily in my opinion has been dreadful. I wanted to pause my subscription but web page was playing up and not allowing me to get to the page I needed. Sent an email asking if they could pause this for me and Frankie asked for my name and email. I have heard nothing since. Left three messages on phone (it doesn’t even ring just straight to voice mail, three emails no response, three messages on chat on page no answer. For this reason I will never use Tastily again. One bit of advice to this company, once people have a poor experience with communication….. that’s it I’m afraid, no matter how good the product trust is lost . A shame.
Update:
I received an email found in my junk mail dated 31/08/23 (which I don’t understand as all other emails have gone straight to my inbox) the day after my trust pilot review was posted. Your reply doesn’t acknowledge why my three voice males were ignored, or why my messages on the “chat” on the webpage were totally ignored. Please don’t insult me further by ignoring my efforts to contact you and suggest maybe your responses to my emails just went to spam/junk. At least just hold your hands up to problems with communication, I would respect that a lot more, I know it is extremely difficult for business out there. I would much prefer honesty over being fobbed off.

Healthy and convenient
I like the convenience of prepared meals and Tastily is a great choice for people like me. I love that you can avoid the hassle of planning and cooking a meal, you just open the fridge and choose what you want today. The DPD delivery is very reliable and I always know exactly when the box arrives. The meals themselves are nice and much healthier than the ones you can buy in the supermarkets. Tastily offers a range of options to choose from, my only wish is there were even more new flavours from different cuisines to try. The team is really focused on delivering great food and willing to hear feedback which is a fantastic sign for the future :)

Really enjoying tastily
I'm really enjoying the tastily meals. I'll go for pro's and con's, but the pros outweigh the cons by a LOT (hence 5 star still).
Pros:
- Great quality fresh food
- Saves so much time I would spend buying/cooking/cleaning up.
- Good packaging/labelling
- Stops food waste
- Great if you are dieting (my partner is)
- Way better than other food companies (hello,gousto) that I've tried.
Cons
- I guess expensive?
- I don't know what they are called, but some meals come with beans that are in these pod things. The pods are inedible and I end up having to rummage around in my already microwaved meal to take the pods out and squeeze the beans out of them.
- Once or twice I've had a meal that isn't up to scratch or badly put together. This is only like 1% of the time but worth a mention. This looks like a rogue member of staff who doesn't care or something, maybe an off day.
Over all though the cons are only tiny issues.
I hate planning/cooking/cleaning up meals during the week. I have one of these for lunch and for dinner and could not be happier with it.
Two of these a day gets me everything I need nutrient -wise and after having done this for a couple of months I feel SO MUCH better in myself.

I have to revise my rating for Tastily. After my review the customer service reached out to me. They reimbursed me for the entire order and also offered me a free meal box for my troubles.
Very pleasant experience and absolutely outstanding service.
Therefore, Tastily deservers a second chance and with a customer service actually listening and caring about your issues, I can recommend Tastily to everyone out there.

Initial Feedback:
I tried tastily for the first time. Definitely not trying it again.
When the meals arrived they looked nothing like the pics on the website.
Every dish looked like left overs of take away food.
Unfortunately, it tasted even worse than it looked.
Not even some spicy "peri-peri" could rescue the dish.
The chicken was dry, the vegetables were bland and overall not pleasant at all.
I am trying to delete my account with Tastily, but well, easier said than done.

Good balanced meals and good service
I really enjoy Tastily so far. The meals are very balanced and it's good that they give you an option to deliver your meals biweekly or weekly with different size portion.
The only thing I would like to see more is variety of meals, otherwise you get bored of the same meals.
Also, customer service is great, they reply you swiftly and resolve issues with no problem whatsoever.

Lovely food but otherwise very frustrating so far!
Lovely tasty food but some portions are really too small for the cost and more like a side. Whilst I really love the food I’m frustrated after first two weeks. The website is really poor to navigate and change orders, this really is a pain. The links in the website after logging in did not work but later discovered I had to update my preferences which didn’t need updating- I had nothing to change but directions for the user is poor. Trying to log in to edit order is not possible within your account, you have to go to main web page to edit order. It’s confusing.
It’s been two weeks and I still cannot manage my subscription or change orders etc. I Missed last deadline because I could not do anything and so I got the default order (default meaning without any changes).
The second delivery (the default order) was not sealed properly so was just room temperature - it was a hot day and where the box was not completely sealed the ice packs had melted and not cold in the box at all. I think the food is okay but these things are frustrating for the short period of signing up. Emailing to report the delivery issue does not produce any acknowledgment, and although I’m sure I’ll hear back, it’s nice to get an automated reply acknowledging receipt.
The food is lovely but they need to get these other issues sorted.

OMG so good
OMG so good! Better than any other company by a far stretch (and I tested a lot). And have clean ingredients which is also super important.
Even the labelling which is on the side made me happy as I clearly see what I'm getting out of fridge :D
EDIT: my girlfriend also loved your meals (specifically Chicken Thai Green Curry)

The meals are great. On the expensive side compared to cook your self services such as Hello Fresh/Gousto but for the convenience i'm willing to pay.
The real let down, and the reason for my score is the Web Site. It is the most unreliable buggy website I have ever used. Your first order is easy, select your meals pay done. But try and manage your account/subscription after that; impossible. Want to select your meals for your next deliveries? Good luck, took me 30 minutes as the first time it just duplicated my 1st meal choice 14 times. But then none of my chosen meals turned up. If the website is not resolved by the time my welcome offer ends I won't be coming back.

I have brought better ready meals from local shops. Such small portions Enough for a toddler not a grown adult. the price for what you get is NOT worth it. I emailed them as it said my food was due to be delivered on 9th. No one had emailed me back. So Id say that customer service is not good either. Cancelled my subscription and will NOT renew. after eating a meals I was still hungry. Not that nice either.

The meals are nice. And I love how they fit in my fridge and I can see the meal name printed on the side of the packaging. It’s just the ordering experience on the website is awful! Even when I spoke with their customer services, they did not understand my query and it took way too much effort to help them understand that their website ordering experience needs immediate attention. Also, deliveries were Wednesday, but now they are Friday, still not convenient, I personally want Saturday or Sunday deliveries. Fortunately, there are other similar companies offering the same service for similar price that have a much much better ordering experience and weekend delivery, so I’m using them instead of tastily.

Received 1/4 deliveries
Only received 1/4 billed deliveries for a week I had asked to cancel! Customer service very slow to respond via email. Chat feature never responds on the website. Most unreliable and unpredictable service I’ve used. As the week delivered I wasn’t there and wanted to skip, I didn’t get to try the food before it went off.

I’m really sorry but I think most of the people writing good reviews have absolutely no taste or low expectations. The food is worse than plane food. Unappetising, simple, bland and always accompanied with a pool of watery liquid in the plate.
It is the second company I have tried (previously prep kitchen - the taste of these meals was far superior and much more responsive customer service the only reason I swapped was packaging leaking 3/7 weeks).
It’s a shame as the delivery was fine and the packaging quite nice but definitely style over substance. The Michelin trainee chef must have been those that didn’t get the job at the end of the training.

The food quality is good
The food quality is good, well prepared and with just the right amount of condiments and ingredients which makes it an ideal healthy choice. Variety of dishes is also very good rotating regularly. I like the freedom of choosing how many meals and the size each week with no obligation. I also like the balance between proteins, carbs and veg (although I find the veg portion always to tiny for my taste). In terms of website, little fiddling when updating the weekly orders as the website doesn’t seems to work properly sometimes.

Great service & great food
I have been using Tastily for about a year now I think, and 95% of the time it hits the mark, the food is delicious combined with a more active lifestyle helped me lose 3 stone and I feel significant better than I did 1 year ago. Meals are all high in protein so help me with my exercise plan and leave me feeling full. The few times I have contacted the support team, my issue was resolved very quickly. Can't recommend enough. My only complaint would be the website can be a bit clunky.
