Bought a ruby wedding clematis for our Ruby Wedding. It arrived in very poor condition, far too dry at roots. Apart from one email indicating wilt (which it wasn’t), no further reply, and no offer of a replacement.

This is the second time I have ordered from Taylors Clematis. The plants I received were very healthy, well packaged and delivered on my requested day. They were really helpful when I wanted to add two more clematis to my order which had recently become available again. Taylors will certainly be my first port of call when I want more clematis!!!

The Clematis was very well packaged and in very good condition. You can tell straight away that it is a quality grown plant. I’ve worked in horticulture all my life so I do recognise a good plant when I see it.

I was a little hesitant about buying plants from a company I had never used before. I needn't have worried; the two clematis arrived the following week, well packed, undamaged and healthy. They are growing well.

I ordered clematis amber a number of years ago after the award from the R.H.S. I have been absolutely delighted with the plant it has flowered every year with more and more flowers. Please if you only grow one clematis make it amber you will not be disappointed. Well done and thank you to Taylors.

Lovely plant delivered quickly and the customer service is great

I received a damaged plant (there were only a few roots still attached to the soil, the rest had been pulled out) and notified the company the next day as per their terms and conditions, but I received no response.

I chased them after one month; they explained that they “have used the same box” for “over 40 years” and, therefore, the plant couldn’t have been damaged in transit; they then fabricated a story that I had cut the stems myself - despite me clearly stating it was the roots that had been damaged not the stems. This fallacy bypassed the unprofessional lack of a response to my original email.

To clarify, this was one plant in an order of eight, that had clearly become loose in transit. I work in Plant and Crop Science at Lancaster University and am quite proficient at handling plants. I did not cut any stems.

I then replied, stating that I had followed their terms and conditions, and once again received no response.

My experience appears consistent with other reviewers, both with a lack of response or if responding, blaming customers with a rude and arrogant tone.
Due to this poor customer service and a lack of honouring their terms and conditions, I strongly advise potential customers not to use this company.

I was recommended to this nursery by another keen Clematis grower & I was certainly not disappointed. I ordered Clematis Fairy Blue Crystal & it was almost a metre in height with flowers & lots of buds. It had an excellent root system & looked incredibly healthy. Chris & Suzy were very helpful & I would highly recommend this Supplier to anyone wanting a beautiful & quality Clematis.

Another first class clematis( Rebecca) from Taylor’s.Once again perfectly packed, and in tip top condition. A stunning plant, over metre high, and very bushy, two blooms just opened, and 5 large buds and a strong root system. Over the years I have purchased several clematis from Taylors, from shows and mail order. All clematis are excellent, and put on a great show. I am a happy repeat customer. Each time I have been delighted with the quality of the plants delivered. This month I was late ordering and was concerned that the delivery would the late for a birthday that I was buying for. Having explained my predicament ,the Taylors moved the delivery date forward. Charming, polite, efficient and with great plants.

The Clematis "Mayleen" I received was in excellent condition, well packed, healthy, vigorous and ready to plant out straight away.
Had previously bought a Clematis "Mayleen" from T & M which was disappointing. Hadn't realised that the plant was intended for "growing on" before planting in final position. I suppose you "get what you pay for". My advice would be to go straight to a specialist nursery like Taylors and pay a little extra for a much better plant.

Plants are of the highest quality and the service also. The plants arrive in excellent condition and are well packed and protected. This is where we like to buy our clematis plants.

I recently made an online enquiry to Taylors Clematis about a specific plant I wanted for my Dad's birthday. I received a response only a few hours later which is both helpful and friendly. I subsequently ordered the clematis which was delivered this week - The plant was of excellent quality and arrived in perfect condition, having been packed brilliantly for transit. I received useful and timely emails confirming my order and regarding delivery by the courier. Overall my experience has been entirely positive, and the quality of the clematis and the obvious care taken packaging it for delivery clearly demonstrates Chris and Suzy's commitment to their business - I'm delighted on every level, and happy to leave this 5 star review. Very much deserved.

Ordered and recieved one 'Amber' Clematis in poor condition. advised to leave it over winter and it would be fine the following year...it isnt. Customer service simply blaming everything (soil, fertilizer, place its planted etc.) except that the plant they sent was not healthy. Will never buy from them again.
